Seems like you felt personally offended by my Nisemonogatari review enough to call me names, well I don't that get but whatever.
Misquoting me for reasons I don't care to understand, I said it would be fine if it was like the beginning of the series, nothing else.
And it's not the only thing I complained about.
Not being into minors as an adult nor not wanting no-purpose erocomoedy on shows with somewhat serious intentions does not make me gay, just a person that prefers his content to focus mostly on one mood and storytelling, and that is not into minors.
That's honestly a fair take to make. I agree with you that the problem would have been multifaceted. The reason why I focus on Netflix in particular is because it is the largest company out the two and probably had quite a lot of pull in terms of production decisions. Netflix is particularly known for trying to rush release dates and other methods of putting pressure on production.
David Productions also did my favorite part in the series in general (and in art style) which was part 4. Given how capable they are was another reason why I put more of my blame on Netflix than them. You can have a great studio deliver a mediocre product when executives set unrealistic expectations. Which is why I tend to be more critical of the executives instead of animators or directors. I think the release schedule of Jojo part 6 also sort of hints at the production issues and rushing I was mentioning.
You're possibly correct. I haven't watched any Monogatari in a decade, and I'd probably have different opinions on all of it now.
If anything though, I'd be less interested in all of it. Nisemonogatari is absolutely more focused than Bake, and Second Season is even more ambitious, and yet all of it has so many scenes that sexualize teenagers. When I was 18, upskirt shots of 17 year olds was just unnecessary. Now I'm 30, and I can't really watch any of it without feeling like a genuine creep. So while I'd be totally willing to admit that on the merits Nise has got plenty of artistic value, I also wouldn't watch it again or recommend it to anyone. Same applies to any Monogatari other than Hana or Owari.
This applies to a lot of shows for me these days unfortunately. I've ridden the bell curve from 'normie weirded out by panty shots' to 'it's white noise, whatever, look at the theeemess' to 'normie weirded out by panty shots.'
Kimi no Shiranai Monogatari is still an absolute banger though, and Kaiki is still best girl, even if he's trapped in a smut sandwich.

^The meme I was referencing to was this, if I remember right;
Seems like false advertising to me. That's a big no-no 'round these parts.
But you've got potential, young'un. Keep up the good work.

Have a good day.
