I love anime/ manga and the stories that they are able to express in the medium, and I want to experience as much of that as possible. That means i’ll try not to drop any anime/ manga (tall task i know) and give ratings that more or less express how i feel (duh obviously). I’ll try to keep my Anilist profile up to date but no promises, if you want to view how I rate more of the higher rated series then feel free, as it allows decimal ratings. Anyway most of the anime I watch nowadays are in dub, doesn’t mean I can’t watch in sub I just prefer it, if that changes your perception of me your lame i cant lie.
Also scroll to the bottom of my bio if you also love music i got some of my favorite albums there, so feel free to compare.
Anime & Manga rating
10’s: It touched my heart in ways I never would have expected before starting these series. Something that has me breathless throughout my time with it. Something which typically adapts the source material to a level unprecedented and then some. These are series, seasons, manga, etc that were so unbelievable that they will stay in my heart forever.
9’s: One of my favorite series and was unbelievable from start to finish, I only have minor gripes but they are really just nit picks. I usually get really emotional over something this good and basically all of the aspects about a “10/10” can also apply to a rating like this.
8’s: Above the "norm" and has outstanding qualities and usually take risks that end up working out and making the series much more compelling. There are usually a bunch of characters I end up LOVING in this rating and above. And most of the time scores of this and higher are super easy to binge. There are noticeably flaws and/or plays into a gimmick too much but my time with it was definitely really worth it and was enjoyable.
7’s: Would recommend to other people, just a nice series with good qualities. Most series ideally should fall in this rating. And usually I end up liking a fair portion of the characters.
6’s: I definitely enjoyed it to an extent and the writing has some good set ups, however I feel they drop the ball consistently or didn't take enough risks, which kinda makes it feel like a nothing burger series. At most a handful of characters which I think were nice.
5’s: A series which gives me nothing to think about, the things that make up the series just feel stale. Typically very lack luster in either ideas or execution.
4’s: A nothing burger series however it is slightly annoying getting through the series.
3’s: Just plain boring and from 3’s and scores under the series become a complete waste of time. It may even have some good things about it, however getting through feels like crushing my fingers.
2’s: Only one or a handful of slight redeeming qualities, everything else throw it into the trash. Nothing, and I do mean nothing from this series was fun, or even ironically fun, the only reason I continue to engage with said series is of pure disgust, disbelief, and disappointment.
1’s: If a series is this bad, I’ll actually applaud them, because in my mind for something to be a 1/10 on this website it has to have no redeeming qualities. Not even something slightly redeemable in any aspects what so ever. I don’t even have the full qualifications for something of this caliber because it requires a series to be so asinine that the mere thought of it brings horrendous shivers down my spine.
