Thank you so much Tingy. You and Kineta ( and other tech individuals I'm not aware of ) saved me ! I was panicking because I figured what I did was irreversible, but you guys proved me wrong !



For future reference how would I handle the initial thing that caused it all. The Malnewbie thing ? Because no matter how many times I tried to login. it would always have me as a newbie. Kineta did mention it was apparently a display issue on MAL's end, so should I simply just wait it out ?

I'm having serious myanimelist login issues, and I'm freaking out, is there a way to fix my issue or did I basically screw my self forever

So I was on MAL as usual and suddenly it logs me off, and puts me as "malnewbie" I was confused and tried to login in, but no matter how many times I did, it kept putting me as malnewbie. I tried clearing cookies for just MAL and still no luck. I tried firefox to login ( as i really only use chrome ) and no luck

then I went on brave ( which I guess is "linked" ? to my chrome ? because i recall it asking me about importing stuff when I downloaded brave some time ago) to make a throwaway account so that I can ask for help, but when I put a random email ( that I used from email generator site ) and created a new username, new password, it didnt create a separate account, but it logged me back into my original account, and now my name has changed, and my login details as well

Is there a way to reverse this ? Or am I stuck like this ? I do remember the "throwaway" password I used luckily, and as long as you have the username and the password, you can always login into your MAL account right ? So is it actually not that bad in reality ?

If I'm technically stuck like this, ( assuming not having the email matters ) Can I reclaim my name ? It was DoctorWasabi

As a side note but I have not verified my email with the "fake email" I used yet.

I noticed if I go to account details on my page there's a change email option

could i put in my old email account and everything go back to normal ? I still have yet to verify the "fake email" so should I ignore that, or should I click it to verify the fake email first, so that no complications will happen when I put in my old email ?

I have a question related to the 'modern profile themes.'
Does every user have their very own unique profile themes in the 'themes' section? For example: The users @HassanIQ9 & @Danpmss have unique profile themes equipped, and now I just noticed that you too have one unique theme. What I'm trying to say is that I don't have these themes that you guys have, and the default ones are kind of lame in comparison. How can one obtain these 'unique' themes, like yours? Are these MAL exclusive that can be only obtained through participating in some MAL events?

Did you know along time back, I think before MAL got bought I suggested they add a seasonal page like anichart to keep track of airing anime episodes and I was thrilled when they finally did. I wonder if my feedback got some momentum to it. xD

There's so many older shows getting adapts or new projects these few years...It'd be interesting to see how they'd have aged if released earlier, Ouran definitely feels like a safer pick for a wide demographic... though imagine it with the YOASOBI oped 😱😱😱
They hit hard at first but it's not one of those formulas I can listen to for 5 years and not get sick of :')
