Since it is a bit troublesome to continue the discussion in the thread, I decided to leave a comment on your profile page instead.
This is my reply regarding your comment about “hanami culture.”
Regarding anime radio shows:
I never knew that monkey was popular to eat as a dish in your region, what would you say is the most popular monkey dish you guys have that's common? Y'all bet, I would love to barbecue some shark meat with some bullseye barbecue sauce that we have here in the states. Especially if it's tangy honey barbecue sauce. I am drooling as we speak! 🤩
Oh are you referring to Pepsi man on the PS1? From what I recall it was sort of like an auto runner correct? Not sure if I'm thinking about the same game as you are, but yes I am aware of that title. It's pretty fun and trippy, like most themed games from Japan at the time.
Sweet! Sounds like you're really gaining some traction in that game, I can tell you have a real love for it.
Shark is on my bucket list of seafood to eat, since I'm a huge seafood fan. Wow I have never eaten monkey before, or chimpanzees for that matter. What exactly does the meat taste like anyway? Can you describe it? 😯🤔
Wow, do you think with the cost being so high like that and you probably not wanting to drive your Mitsubishi in such a state, would it be worth it just to get a brand new car in general at that point? I remember we had talked about that in the past, maybe get yourself a nice used car. With the same Mitsubishi brand?
On a brighter note, have you started your Christmas shopping yet?
I agree, Panasonic died way too early in the video game market. Did you ever get a chance to play Sub-Zero mythology? It was actually a pretty interesting experience, clunky yes but I actually kind of like that game. Seeing those cutscenes in the original PS1 version was a real treat. The N64 version was basically the same just without the cool cutscenes.
Yeah pretty much, deer tastes better when it's soaked in vinegar to get rid of the gamey taste. I've never eaten shark before, what does that taste like? I have tried deep fried alligator though, very tasty!
Oh dang dude was that a real monkey? I couldn't tell at first but I'm not sure which way to come to a conclusion on that. O.O
Oh yeah PC games were all the rage back in the '90s, I played a bunch of them. I think my favorite by far is a horror game called harvester. Not for the faint of heart because it does do a lot of things unpolitically correct if you get my drift, but it's a lot of fun.
As for Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, yes I played them quite a bit actually. Do I played more of the older titles and kind of lost interest once the franchises went into 3D. There was a great documentary that a US channel here called G4TV did back in the day. I'll post a link for you, it's dated by today's standards as it was made sometime around 2004 or so. Still pretty interesting however. Here you go:
Well as far back as I can remember I am told that I am half German half Spanish, as my mother was almost full German, while my dad was Spanish with a little bit of Mexican in him. As for my hobbies I enjoy very similar things as you said, I love going fishing and camping. Do I haven't done it in a very long time. Fishing has always been one of my favorite pastimes just because of how relaxing it can be, even if you don't catch anything sometimes just hearing the nice Brooke and streams are enough to make it all worthwhile. One of my favorite places to go is a local fishing spot that has a cafe there that sells elk burgers. Taste really good too. Basically it's just a regular cheeseburger but a bit more gamey. They even have a contest there where if you're able to finish a $50 meal within half an hour, you get the meal free and a picture of yourself posted on the board. That the cheeseburger is the size of a small pizza, you get literally a bucket of fries and a whole pie with a large drink. I'd love to be able to attempt it someday.
Oh by the way speaking of which, what are some of your favorite retro games? I don't know if we've ever discussed this before. 🤔
Yes I do remember you talking about that awful situation during a Halloween event. I can totally understand why you wouldn't want to revisit those memories again, or at the very least risk revisiting those memories again. So not partaking in Halloween events probably is better for you, you really don't need that sort of stress in your life.
Thanks buddy! The way I spent my Halloween was hanging out with some friends at my house while we watch spooky movies and ate candy. Random question but kind of related what we were talking about, do you have a favorite candy bar? XD
Hearing all of those cartoon shows and different languages must have been really something. I get the feeling you might know multiple languages am I right? As for candy candy I've had to find it via different methods on different websites. Kind of piecing it together like a puzzle. Internet archives for instance actually has the first two episodes dubbed in English from what I recall, yet not a whole lot else on there. Though it has been a while so maybe things have changed.
By the way happy belated Halloween brother! Do you celebrate it?
Hmmm to my knowledge no I don't think I am blocked from downloading torrents, at least not the last time I did. Though honestly with censorship getting a whole lot heavier these days it wouldn't surprise me if those times are getting closer and closer. Does your region suffer from this?
Oh by the way speaking of which have you had a chance to watch the newest Demon Slayer movie? I heard it's been breaking records in the box office for anime films. O.O
As for watching anime in Europe I'm afraid I can't answer that, because I live in the United States. I never heard any of that before, however if you are curious to know I do have some friends from Europe that I can ask for you if you want? Let me know buddy. 🤗
Lately I've been going back and watching some anime from the 1970s. I still want to finish Candy Candy because I have no idea where I left off on. Been watching a lot of mahou shoujo from this era. What have you been watching buddy?
On a lighter note, what did you dress up as when you went to the party?
Also, got any plans for Halloween?
What the heck? What is it that people have against your Mitsubishi so bad? Dang bro sorry to hear you had to go through all this, though I'm glad to hear the money was found. I'm assuming your family didn't believe this third party person though right?
Wow that is quite the dilemma though, seems like you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Are you just going to sell your Mitsubishi eventually?
