I understand, the beginning of the year is always a bit complicated, it's hard to find the time to watch and read everything. Even so, I'm very glad that you're enjoying the works, at least for now. After looking at your list and several of the works you liked the most, I saw from the beginning that many of CLAMP's works could complement your tastes, and after seeing that they could cover several of your genre requests, I didn't hesitate to recommend them to you.
Thank you so much for your kind message. I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year, and likewise, have a great 2026! ⸜(。˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
If you want to talk about whether you liked the works or not when you've finished them in the future, I'd be happy to read your opinion.(⌒▽⌒)
Overall, I enjoyed both Haru no Noroi and Ore shika Shiranai Karada. I liked the core ideas and where each story was going, but I do think they would’ve benefited from being a bit longer. As they are, it felt like there wasn’t quite enough space to fully develop the characters or let the stories breathe (like a 20 chapter story could).
I’m still working my way through Winter Breeze, but I’m enjoying it so far. The characters are likable, and the art style is especially fun, which has made it a really pleasant read. Also really love how lighthearted it is, like you said!
You did a great job picking manga that aligned with my requests, and I really appreciate you finding stories that felt similar to things I’ve enjoyed before.
Also, in Osaka, although the theaters are smaller, performances are sometimes held at the Umeda Arts Theater. Because the venue is small and the performance runs are short, I think tickets are harder to get, but if you want to see it in Osaka, it is possible.
In addition, starting a few years ago, they began offering live viewings of the final performance in movie theaters. For people who can’t get tickets no matter how hard they try, or those who live far away and can’t attend often, watching via live viewing has become an option.
Well, aside from the Takarazuka Revue, there are also plenty of other stage plays based on anime and manga. Right now, I think Death Note is running. xxxHOLiC also had a musical in the past, but unlike Takarazuka, that one had an all-male cast. So if you already like musicals, you might want to check out other productions too—you may find something you’d like to see.
Also, I’m traveling to Osaka this month, and I’m planning to visit two art exhibitions. If it’s a series you love, original art exhibitions are highly recommended, since you can see manuscripts and illustrations from your favorite works up close.
To avoid cluttering the thread, I'll reply to your comment in my profile instead.
Well, even if seats remain the day before a performance, people tend to buy more tickets once it starts. So ultimately, I don't think you'll end up with a situation where empty seats are conspicuously empty. I've never seen “The Rose of Versailles” live. It's such a popular production that I couldn't secure tickets. The popular “The Rose of Versailles” isn't performed every year either. So popular shows become a real ticket scramble. Also, in Japanese-style productions, you won't see dresses like those in “The Rose of Versailles,” so if you want to see that kind of thing, it's probably best to avoid the Japanese-style shows.
Well, seeing tickets still available during general sales makes me feel a bit sorry for the less popular shows... Personally, I think the difficulty level is just right when you can get tickets through the first-come-first-served sales.
By the way, in Tokyo, you can't enter the building without a ticket, but in Takarazuka, you can enter the building even without one. Only the gate to the theater inside the building requires a ticket. You can enter places like restaurants, food and souvenir shops, and the museum-like “Takarazuka Hall of Fame” without a performance ticket. If you just want to see the theater building from the outside, I recommend trying to go inside.
