I started this when I was looking for a "Villainess" webtoon, but it turns out itt is more of a "buzz word" rather than an actual theme, since the story barely revolves around this fact. Don't let it deter you though, as it manages to keep a lighthearted vibe through what seems to be a low stakes story at a first glance.
The story starts with Judith, a reincarnated woman in her favorite "revenge" novel, who was a minor villain with little consequence, but decides to turn the tables this time around to help Luca, the novel's protagonist and her character's nephew. So, this time Judith

*In the Sunshower* is one of those romance manhwa that feels really comforting to read, even if it never fully reaches the level it could have.
The strongest part of the series is easily the chemistry between the leads. Their interactions feel warm and natural, and the story does a good job making it clear that these two genuinely like each other. The premise itself is also really nice, mixing soft romance with a slightly melancholic atmosphere that gives the story a unique charm. The art is solid too, especially during the quieter emotional moments.

This has been one of my fav manga for years!!
It is a beautiful dark-fantasy series with supernatural elements, interesting & complex worldbuilding and a lot of mystery.
Also, girls kissing :) ( it IS relevant to the plot). I like the dialogue a lot too, especially from Ashaf, as it really helps to build the tone and can be funny. Very unique and cool character designs, with great fashion. If you like things with witches, vampires, magic etc you will like this. Has just the right amount of brutality and grit while not losing itself to shock horror.

The movie by Park Chan-wook is a cult classic and I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember lol. The story is wild, the characters are quite unpredictable, impulsive and non-trivial.
After a few chapters of the manga though I realised how different it feels from the film - the accents are made on different things and it feels more like slow-burner as opposed to the action-filled movie.
Manga is more tame and realistic, the story doesn’t have this many shocking turn-arounds, characters seem more human-like and the feelings we’re dealing with here are arguably more complex and also more human. ...

That was a very unique work of Kaneshiro. It tackles the relationship between similar intelligent lifeforms and humans, where they gradually become more like one another, even bringing a new way of seeing things from the 'aliens'" perspective. It makes for a very interesting turn of events throughout the manga that develops these relationships and deepens their interactions. It goes beyond the usual approach when it comes to extraterrestrial beings as part of the plot, and turns it into a very interesting and entertaining read.
It's also a quick read, but don't think that because it's short on chapters that details go unnoticed though!

a heartwarming story of striving past societal pressures and embracing your true self, whilst exploring the construction of a friendship between two people who appear to be opposites but are united by the struggle of being alone.
nitamono doushi received a seven from me. it is nothing unique, and it doesn't exactly contain anything mind-blowing but, in my opinion, it does serve as something that served as a nice read. some flaws are apparent, primarily in the clichés that made my eyes roll -- the unrealistic interaction between saioniji's two "friends" and the protagonist was the main particular one that felt, as i said before, cliché. ...

It’s impossible for a 14-chapter rom-com to have an interesting protagonist, character development, a unique dynamic, and a story that occasionally pulls at your heart. R-right?
Hehe, and yet it does!
Kumakura-san to Boku won’t change your life, but it will definitely make you laugh, or at least smile, more than once :)
It’s really difficult not to like the main character, and even the infamous “dense issue” fits his personality so perfectly that it never becomes irritating for even a second.
Meanwhile, the heroine consistently moves toward her goal despite all the difficulties, fighting against her own demons along the way.

The issue with isekai narratives is that the mc often tries to shape the the other world according to his ideals, overcoming all the problems with his wits and power. however this manga took a riskier approach, it showed how a broken world can actually reduce even a priest into a lunacy. the mental battles the mc has to take and how he actually changed into someone unrecognisable is really poetic in a sense. his struggles are not treated as temporary obstacles before a victory but they genuinely change him. although i can see why a lot of readers will find this one hard to

This manga has a pretty unique and well-executed story.
The plot mainly revolves around the search for knowledge, inspiration, and ideals. But above all, it focuses on human curiosity and the desire for knowledge. This manga presents different stories with different characters, all centered around heliocentrism. I have to say the characters are excellent—all the main ones felt very interesting and well-developed. The dialogue is also excellent; the ideas flow naturally through the characters, giving us their perspectives and ways of thinking. I really loved all the "arcs." Underrated. I have high confidence that this manhwa will become far more popular than it is right now.
I always exercise a little caution when a manhwa only has ~20 chapters out, because you never know if the story is going to remain consistently strong. However, there's no denying that this story has been off to a decent start so far.
Plot context: Protag is a gifted mage who works for a mercenary company and ends up taking a job as a magic tutor. And as a magic tutor, he offers a more non-traditionalist perspective that gives him an advantage compared to others.

A truly beautiful manga about human connections and magicians, with one of the most interesting magic systems I've seen. Soft magic that is related to food (wheat) and, of course, the main character being a *baker* of all things is such a fun way to tie it all together.
The art style is really really wonderful, perfect for a world and characters that brim with life. The colored illustrations are so pretty, I wish there was more of them included in the series.

I'll start by saying that I consider Yamamoto's Homunculus one of the best pieces of art the manga medium has ever produced, and Koroshiya 1 a fantastic story.
Sadly, once you start exploring Yamamoto's other writings, you'll quickly realize those two were definitely the peak of his artistic production.
You can find Yamamoto's dearest themes here: the connection between sex and violence, prostitution and the risks (and possibly the advantages) associated with it, the cunning malignity of the japanese criminals and those who should fight it, various forms of perversions, and all of this in a very exploitative and provocative way.

the classic shounen manga that honestly feels forgotten nowadays because fairy tail became much more popular later, but after rereading it, i still think rave master is hiro mashima best work overall. compared to fairy tail, this manga feels more focused emotionally, more consistent narratively, and surprisingly more sincere about its themes of loss, friendship, and moving forward after tragedy
the story follows haru glory, a pretty typical optimistic shounen protagonist at first glance, who becomes the next rave master and travels across the world searching for the rave stones to stop the dark bring organization. honestly the setup sounds very generic if you explain it ...

What would we do if we had the power to leap through time, to see loved ones who have now left our lives? This is what happened to Kazuko Yoshiyama, a girl like many others, but the question I always ask myself when I see these kinds of stories is: how will the human race use this power? Or, if you want to call it a discovery, will it use it sparingly, respecting the rules, or with greed, completely disregarding the rules, causing numerous temporal disasters? In any case, I liked the manga's story's connection between Kazuko and Kazuo (who later turns out to be

Monster Soul is a short but highly entertaining read, consisting of two volumes that will keep you entertained for a few hours thanks to a mix of action, comedy, and completely unconventional characters. The book doesn't claim to tell a deep or particularly complex story, and this is probably one of its strengths: everything is crafted with the aim of entertaining the reader, without ever taking itself too seriously.
The light-hearted and lighthearted tone of the narrative is clear from the first pages. The four protagonists, despite being "monsters," are portrayed in a fun and deliberately quirky way, creating absurd but never heavy situations. The group ...

This is basically just a time skip and filler chapters from the prequel, Kimi wa Natsu no Naka. The difference is they're already dating from the start which is a plus point for me (so I don't have to go through drama).
I thought the prequel is already the bible of slice-of-life, but I was wrong. Here, it's just us peeking the lives of Wataru and Chiharu after they got together. No drama involved. We also get to unravel more of their personalities after they grow up, like how strong they are to alcohol, how they hang out after campus, etc.

In one word, I'd describe Kimi wa Natsu no Naka as "fluffy".
The manga is nothing much. Just your typical BL where the tall perfect hot guy fell in love with an ordinary guy. But, I like how the peaceful, simple, and slice-of-life-y setting is spot on. Reading this felt like there's rays of sunshine slipping through the window when you just woke up from bed at 8 in the morning. It's warm, comfy, and calm. You can't help but put a smile on your face.

This manga follows the classic trope of popular girl X loner guy. What makes it pretty different is how it tackles the setup. Without going too deep to avoid potential spoilers I'd describe this story to be much more realistic than other similar mangas, and also makes you think more about how communication is essential to maintain relationships with people around you, which I personally like in mangas (like, when they make you think about real stuff).
If you hate misunderstandings then this might not be for you, but personally I think that despite being such a common and annoying trope, it was done pretty well ...

There's so much to love about this story. The art is clean, and the scenery looks really good and selling the solitude the story is aiming to tell.
I also like the dynamics and chemistry between the two MCs. Their relationship builds fast, but it's gentle at the same time. I enjoy how the narrative tells each character's pain, and how they put these two wounded souls together. The ending is not only refreshing, but it also works perfectly with the narrative, and I appreciate the direction altogether.

its looks like an erotic road trip manga at first, but honestly it feels more like a story about loneliness and people trying to fill emotional emptiness. the romance and sexual scenes are there, but the real focus is the quiet feeling between the characters
the story has a heavy and lonely atmosphere. many scenes happen in places like late night convenience stores, highways, hotels, ferries, and seafood restaurants, and somehow all of them feel strangely realistic. not in a dramatic movie way, but in a normal everyday japanese life kind of way

A fine read with different characters and dynamics. However the manga itself is average and tends to deteriorate in quality. Make sure you have no expectations for this manga. The story is not unique The manga is a relatively short adaptation. Because it tries to condense a character-driven story into fewer volumes, much of the emotional nuance gets lost. In a story that relies entirely on building empathy between seven very different teenagers, the rushed pacing makes their growing bonds feel unearned or forced. If you are already a fan of the anime and just want a collectible, it's fine. I think the writers were doing a phenomenal job at the beginning of the manga with great story arcs and amazing side plots, sticking to the romance part of it. But near the end, to be honest The cliché of manga main characters ending up with the obvious choice of girls was a bit Enraging. To be honest, if you read the manga, you will see and understand that his personality is reflected way closer to anyone but the girl he ended up with. I still think it was great, I would recommend, but the ending was rushed, a lot. Like, a lot a lot.

The following review is in Spanish and English (translated with the support of DeepL).
The version read is the English translation by zdjung and Seiki from Dynasty-Scans.
I would consider this the most famous work by Kenn Kurogane, with the exception of _Tae-chan to Jimiko-san_, his current serialization which surpasses thirty chapters. _Shoujo Sect_ was published irregularly between 2003 and 2008, and is especially remembered for its 2008 hentai adaptation, which adapts part of the story while taking certain creative liberties and not fully covering the original material. However, given the scarcity of exclusively yuri hentai, it has maintained a certain reputation, almost cult-like.

Eden is one of the most complex and fascinating manga I’ve ever read. Hiroki Endo created an incredible post-apocalyptic story filled with tragedy, philosophy, violence, and human conflict.
One of the biggest strengths of the series is its character cast. Every character feels unique, with different backgrounds, struggles, and motivations. The manga explores betrayal, trauma, addiction, and the way harsh circumstances can shape people.
Elijah Ballard is an especially fantastic protagonist. Watching him grow throughout the story while dealing with loss and difficult choices was one of the highlights of the manga for me.

This manga is only 22 chapters long and it didn't have time to develop much of a story. I'd still endorse it though, if you want to read something light and funny. You could read the whole thing in an afternoon. The premise is a little odd, the MC is a "monsterboy" but the female lead gets most of the fanservice. He's kind of a chuunibyou who actually is a real werewolf and looks down on humans, but his powers suck and he just turns into a small dog and gets harassed by cats and dommed by girls, that's the gimmick.

So far, this is a steady slow burn shifter romance that only bears the slightest tinge of the Omegaverse. I'd even go as far as saying that this is one of the safe titles you can offer to people who thinks of dabbling into the slicky waters.
The plot does carry a misunderstanding / miscommunication as its main core, but luckily so far the narrative doesn't make it frustrating. The narrative conveniently offers no twists and turns so in the end you're just in for the ride to see the inevitable moment when the secret is revealed.

[The eternal fool's words of wisdom: A pawsitively fantastic adventure]
The start of this manga was just decent enough to give me hope. Which it then mercilessly crushed.
‼️ Female characters are sexualized. Male warriors wear full plate armour. Female warriors wear corsets, miniskirts and thigh high socks. Civilian women sometimes wear night gowns or leotards. In freezing cold.
⚠️ It features slavery and child prostitution (though it is only described, not shown). It is handled very crudely, and the protagonist buys the slave's freedom, funding the slavers.

TLDR: Art is godly, story can be hard to follow, and a lot of fan service.
Kaijin Fugeki was something I came across by sheer coincidence. It was a Reddit post in the JoJoLands subreddit that mentioned Hirohiko Araki recommends a manga by the mangaka Oh Great. This work needs no explanation; it deserved an anime adaptation.
Adequate story and setting, interesting fighting style. The plot needs improvement, and the development of secondary characters is crucial.
Obviously, this work isn't for everyone; it's more for those who like isekai, fights, conspiracies, and harems. I'm not a fan of harems, but anyway, it has a bit of that, but it's not the main focus of the work, so it's quite easy to read.
Focusing more on world and character development and avoiding generic glitches would also be more interesting.
The story has originality in certain plot elements, but it ends up being somewhat inconsistent throughout the narrative.

The character's initial story is innovative at the beginning; the premise is cool because he's a weapons handler and there's drama. However, only the beginning of the chapters were good, while the development of the story wasn't that good. Perhaps the author should read more romance novels to better develop the characters.
I'm not going to be like the haters who give a 1 out of nowhere just because the character is older; that means hysteria and discrimination against the author's work. If you don't like it, you don't read it, it's that simple.

I enjoy the 10 chapters I've read of this series and would recommend it to anyone who likes romance manga. The relationship between the two main characters is very fast paced and it makes for a funny but heartwarming dynamic. I was disappointed that the series seems to be updated pretty infrequently but as I've seen more people talking about this on social media I'm hoping the popularity of this work will increase. I would love to know more about both of these characters past traumas with their romantic partners that lead them to each other. Overall I would say this is a solid series

Y’all, this manhwa legitimately changed my life. I started reading GED back in 2023, and I was at a pretty low point in my life. There was a lot going on, and I was on the razor’s edge of giving up on all of it. Then, in 2023, I discovered this manhwa completely by chance on a subreddit.

The story flows well, and is also well written, and the people in it are written nicely and easy to understand, yet with some also being to be more complex the more you look into it, like with "Nanami Touko" and also the characters art fit in with the theme of the story, and doesn't feel too basic nor over-the-top for an art style. It seems to go for a slower approach with the relationships, and doesn't seem to go for anything too much, and focuses more on a "slow burn" type of story. Although the confession is early, it will be the story.

I like how the plot is somewhat between cliche and unique — where we've seen tons of works which covered the trope of "villain x hero", but it's uncommon to see something like this, where the villainess (Rosa) is actually a misunderstood fan of the hero (Doryeong). I must say that this manhwa definitely leaned more into its comedy aspects rather than romance, which made me laugh a few times throughout reading.
Rosa is one of the FLs which is likeable. She has flaws; oblivious, clumsy, and shy. Yet she is bubbly, caring, and forgiving for most of the part. Doryeong is kinda mid at first ...

That sounds like a refreshing change of pace! It's rare to find a story that stays grounded in its premise instead of escalating into another "save the world" trope.
Here are a few ways to fix the grammar, depending on how formal you want to be:
Option 1: Natural & Conversational (Best for a review or comment)
"This was an unexpectedly good manhwa. Lately, a lot of series have featured overpowered protagonists and 'saving the world' plots where the stakes don't even feel real. Here, the plot starts very simply: a guy is annoyed by the noise his upstairs neighbors are making, and they turn out to be ...

This stood out to me because it was unusually restrained, introspective, and far more thoughtful than I expected from the premise. Rather than treating a step-sibling relationship as a source of melodrama or fanservice, it explores something much more grounded: two strangers who are suddenly forced into emotional proximity through family cohabitation.
What makes it interesting is how carefully it treats that distance. At the start, the two protagonists agree to be upfront and straightforward with each other. They try to say what they feel, especially when something becomes difficult. In doing so, the story almost deliberately denies itself one of the most common sources of ...

Moonchild is excellent, and absolutely captivating. I've been looking up as much information as I can about this series because of how much its gripped me, but the few posts I've found don't do it justice. This manhwa combines so many genres with a perfect blend, so much that I struggle to recall another series that had this masterful of a genre balance other than something like Attack on Titan.
It is a horror series no doubt, but it is also so much more than just horror. It mixes folklore and history into its terror, with extensive spiritual backstory that is shrouded in questions. It ...

Smile Down The Runway is about rebelling against norms and shaking up the world when it doesn't suit your vision for it.
It is about fashion and modeling, and the research done for this manga and the love shown for the craft is extremely respectable, but it's really a story of ambition and breaking down barriers that can resonate with anyone. Models aren't supposed to smile down the runway and there's a legitimate reason for it, but what if one girl wanted to be on that stage so much that once she was on there, she couldn't do anything else but smile?

Quick review of this anime no spoilers.
The first third of the story is kinda slow but ok at introducing the characters.
There was never a point where I could expect what would happen next however. Especially as the story picked up.
The last 2\3rds is bat shit insane.Fantastically gruesome art. A decently unique story‚ charismatic characters and non stop action.
If you like any of these things hellsing is a must read.
If you are looking for grounded story and characters this manga is not for you.
Also horror is a bit of a stretch. It was not scary but it was super gory.

I absolutely loved it, the story made me feel uneasy at times, excited, fearful, intrigued, sad and everything in between, the art is super freaky at times. The stpry was good not perfect but good. The ending was abrubt though. But still not bad. It had a very unique setting that really made you invest into what could possibly happen, I recommend this to anyone looking for something different to read that like unusual plots and amazing art, with charecters that were very flawed
Art: 9 out of 10
Story: 8 out of 10

This is one of the best manhwas out there unironically but that makes it sting all the much more when you find out it abruptly ends on chapter 81 because it got axed.
While all the other reviewers say it did have an "ending" it really was only in the technical sense. It basically just closes out the arc they were sitting in without loose ends.
Once you're invested to that point you really just want to see how it continues to develop but that. Will. Never. Happen.
Bottom line is read at your own risk and be prepared for it. I came into it ...

On today's episode of "is this manga highly rated because the source material it's associated from is culturally relevant right now, or is it unironically good:" we have Cinderella Gray! I believe that I: someone who has been reading the series week-by-week since 2023 and has finally caught up to it's finale has the right to speak up on it, with proper understanding of what makes this series itself, and..
It's a shittier, moe version of Makibao and that's fine. It doesn't need to be more than that to be enjoyable.

Umi no Misaki is not worth a long review, so I'll keep things short and sweet. Here's a quick overview of my takeaways:
The good:
- The main character, Nagi, isn't a wimpy bitch
- The harem girls aren't insufferable
- The size of the supporting cast is neither too big or too small
- There's progression in the relationships with the harem girls
The bad:
- The art is below average and it's noticable

Very rough start for this series. The story is a ridiculous mess. Apparently reading poetry is how you level up in this world? Nothing about this really makes sense. The MC is obnoxious and unlikable. Why is a thousand year old sword throwing tantrums like a little kid? Why is a sword learning how to use a sword? Why even have all these training chapters when the MC can pull out a new magical cheat skill whenever he wants? This type of story telling is just lazy., and it feels like it was thrown together in a few minutes. Maybe it will get better, but

I really like this one, the art is beautiful, An Zhe is drawn so delicately and Lu Feng is drawn so well too! And when they draw the mushroom, they make it look so magical!
The story is very interesting, it's still rather early but we can see our mushroom struggle between his identity as a mushroom and as a human. I know for sure they will progress more but as of writing, it's been on hiatus.
They also made both main characters introverts, neither of them talk much yet their interactions feel so intimate already. It's hard to describe but it's a couple dynamics I don't ...

I love this Manhua! The setting is relatively unique and the politics are really interesting! I actually got sad on my second read at some parts because it was so good T^T.
I love their gradual love for each other and how unproblematic it is. They dived into trauma and handled it well, we can see the lasting effects it had on the main characters, both of them.
I personally hate miscommunications and this manhua actually doesn't use this trope that much, which I'm so glad, when they do, they also resolve it well.
The art is also beautiful, you can see the author gradually ...

This is the first manwha in a while that I've read that really, really, REALLY makes you hate the villains. This genre of school-bully revenge has never necessarily appealed to me since most struggle with justifying the MC delivering their punishments. The author has no problem with this, writing the villains to be the most cruel I've ever read with their acts. The creativity, especially in the second season has me amazed. It's hard to delve into it without spoiling the story; but the cruelty is so bad that for the first time ever I've had to shut my eyes and just hit the spacebar
