I loved it. Beautiful worldbuilding, art, sound and a solid bittersweet story with meaningful characters. It does feel cut short in some points and there are some minor flaws execution wise, otherwise I would rate this a 10 because what defines a “Masterpiece” in the end other than subjective taste and opinion anyway? The tale of them seeking humanity and solace is a very sad but timeless and hopeful one and it is executed in a simple, beautiful way. This mini series doesn’t try to be something it could never be, it just is what it is: A solid work of art, which makes it already stand out to me in the neverending sea of meaningless, target-audience pandering slop.
