Story: (10/10)
Not once have I felt completely bored with this manhua. Nan Hao & Shang Feng is simply a story about the misadventures and shenanigans of two high school boys and their friends, family, and acquaintances. As simple and slice of lifey as the plot sounds, this is definitely the most hilarious story I've come across. It's basically a goldmine of "the boys" kind of humor. 10/10 will take you back to your high school days. Be wary though, no amount of humor will prepare you for certain emotional chapters and backstories.
Last but not least, since this story is Chinese, it features a ton of references to the local culture, so it is best enjoyed by locals, but it was still very fun to see more of Chinese daily life through this manhua.
Art: (10/10)
The art is raw in a way that fits the story's realistic and relatable approach, and the faces certain characters can get to making is pure comedy.
Characters: (9/10)
Since the story is character driven, the characters are extremely relatable and fun. The manhua features an impulsive and troublemaker duo, a fujoshi who secretly ships them, her crazy sister, three inseparable boys in their own "cool" friend group, and way more lively characters. My only small complaint is that certain characters definitely need more to them, but in general the characterization is one of the strongest points in this manhua.
Enjoyment: (10/10)
Trust me when I say it's one of the funniest, if not the funniest manhua I've ever read. As previously said, the humor is on point, even nostalgic, every chapter is a game of where's waldo where you have fun staring in the backgrounds and the details of each panel hiding tons of references and easter eggs.
And the way the characters act, in their prime high schooler days, is very realistic.
Overall: (10/10)
I cannot stress enough how much I love this manhua. Recommended 100%
