Usogui (Manga) add (All reviews)
May 12, 2026
Usogui is the greatest manga ever created because no other series comes close to its level of aura, intensity, and presence. There are no low points — every gamble, every confrontation, every entrance feels legendary.
The aura in Usogui is genuinely unmatched. Baku Madarame is the coldest protagonist in manga history. Every smile, every stare, every gamble he accepts radiates absolute confidence. He walks into impossible situations with zero fear and somehow makes everyone around him feel nervous instead. He doesn’t even need action scenes to dominate a moment — his presence alone controls entire rooms. Every time Baku appears, it feels like the atmosphere ...

Boku dake ga Shitterun daze is a masterclass in why execution matters more than a "unique" premise. It looks like a standard socially anxious boy meets popular girl setup, but the actual writing puts most big-name rom-coms to shame.

The best part of this manga is the MC, Waku. He's the typical passive wimp you see in every other series. He’s awkward and anxious as hell, but the man has massive backbone. Watching him force himself into uncomfortable situations because he genuinely wants to help someone else is incredibly rewarding. He gets flustered and makes mistakes, but his maturity and willingness to step up make him ...

Boukensha Sakaba no Ryourinin is one of the better fantasy culinary manga mainly because it avoids the biggest problem most of the genre falls into. Instead of endlessly glazing ordinary Japanese food, the series focuses much more on experimentation and culinary development using strange dungeon ingredients that genuinely feel new and unfamiliar.

The most fun part of the manga is watching the MC slowly figure out how to cook and improve these ingredients. It feels less like a power fantasy and more like genuine creativity and problem solving. The MC himself is also refreshingly normal. He is not overpowered he is just a hardworking guy ...

This is not going to be a story for everyone, and it does not pull punches with how it starts off either. Miyagi asks Sendai to lick her foot, and Sendai, for whatever reason, obliges. Miyagi never threatens her with either violence or ruining her reputation at school, she's in fact very respectful of this and prefers to treat her room as a separate space from the world outside - a space where only her and Sendai can exist, and the things they do and say to each other carry no weight outside of it. Sendai doesn't need the money either. Even then, Miyagi continues ...

this story is white bread: pretty good, will leave you satisfied, but not as interesting as it can be. we follow the protagonist Shinichi as he has to deal with his teasing friend Uzaki Chan as they make their way through university. it can be basically summed up as a "legal" oppai loli teasing the senpai protagonist but is actually in love with him. similar manic pixie dream girls have been done better in other stories.

story: 6/10

the story is very mellow and simple; it is a slow burn of the relationship between the co-protagonists Hana Uzaki and Shinichi Sakurai. it does sidetrack in the later ...

Lovely work. Natori and Hinata have an extremely magnetic aura, their relationship not only to each other but to alcohol as well is core to the story. Alcohol carries a different weight to each of them but it all comes together through their shared earnest appreciation for it and the company they give each other. It makes each of their drinking sessions so intimate and you can't help but bounce your knee waiting for the next time they can get a moment together.

They are far from the only interesting pair in this work. There's a human doctor and nurse oni pair, and an idol oni ...

This is a short story that is okay if you just want something quick to read, but it has some major flaws. It is only 30 chapters long, which makes it a very fast read, but the short length means the story feels a bit empty.

To be honest, I was not a fan of the art style. While some people might like it, it didn't really work for me and made it harder to stay invested in the characters. The story follows Silvia and Victor, but their relationship feels rushed and lacks depth.

The female lead is a very polarizing character. I found her entertaining but ...

In the end, Black Clover was a manga that I thoroughly enjoyed. It had a few overused tropes and it definitely isn't for everyone, but if you vibe with the initial chapters then it's certainly a reading journey you will not regret.

The pace is quite fast, but it rarely feels like it's actually rushing past important things. We still get character interactions and their development feels natural. We start rooting for the main cast and their growth as the story continues. I do have to complain about how some characters are added to the main cast unnaturally, but most of the time I was enjoying ...

Up to this point, Ichi The Witch is standard Shonen and that’s ok, and while it’s definitely a series I enjoy to an extent I couldn’t with my full heart say that it is something that you should read. If you are simply looking for a solid fantasy adventure then go for it, there is nice art and an intriguing power system. If you are looking for something with a compelling cast of characters then you might want to read with caution as both the protagonists but mainly the antagonists are lacking in my opinion.

Let’s start this review with what readers might take away from ...

The creator of this manhwa has made some other popular ones namely pigpen, bastard and the prequel to this story shotgun boy. In my opinion this is his best work. The main character is great and his character arc is quite compelling. He felt bland and distasteful in the beginning however you learn to like him. The side characters aren't as developed but they have there charm (hopefully a sequel could help fix this), and the antagonists in this case are weird zombie like monsters. The apocalyptic vibe and the fight between man and these overpowering creatures is interesting on its own but watching the ...

This manhwa is almost perfect. I don't really want to spoil much but if you like romance and medieval dramas this one is probably perfect for you. The romance is done in a brilliant way, the side characters feel important, and there isn't really any one individual who holds absolute power in the story. HOWEVER one of the side characters who I found so compelling and was my favorite throughout had a pretty lack luster conclusion. His character arc felt like it was setting up to be great but it fell flat in the end which was very disappointing because of how much depth he ...

Probably the best romance manhwa, however this comes with a caveat. The things that I actually care about and found myself taking with me moving forward from this manhwa were its themes that go over depression, acceptance and grief. There's a certain arc that takes place in the middle of the story that throws a certain side character who I believe most people hated at the beginning of the story through a giant character arc that was one of the most beautiful things I've read in the manhwa medium. The main problem is that the rest of the story has romance that isn't bad by ...

The manhwa is a very sweet and short story. It tells the story of Seyeon and Jeongwook, who were close childhood friends until they were separated. Seeing them get back together after all those years is super cute and makes the story really interesting to follow.

The best part of this manhwa is the art style. The drawings are beautiful and high-quality, which makes every scene a joy to look at. I also loved every single scene they shared together; their chemistry is great, and the way their relationship grows is very well done. It feels like a "perfect life" story because both families are close ...

If I could give this an 11/10 I would. As I read chapter after chapter of this I only become more infatuated with it. While it takes on more of an episodic approach in its storytelling, by god there is so much to get out of those short story bits. The way this manga tackles incredibly nuanced and difficult topics with ease while also not being curt and in your face about them is like a breathe of fresh air.

The art is also the perfect fit. It feels very rugged which matches the more mature feeling of the manga. Both the character design and ...

This was a terrible read. The major problems are writing-based (the art is fine and sometimes quite good sometimes not, I don't find the gore to fit the artstyle very well but it's not bad), spanning dialogue, pacing, and character writing.
First off, twists are generally handled very badly, being revealed early on. You don't really get mysteries to chew on, things to ponder, to try to figure out - it's all quite flat, things are explained not too long after even the shadow of a mystery about them is introduced (Imuru, Aria, Leviathan, etc.), and it makes the predictable, regular, and uninteresting pacing of events ...

I’m writing this review from the perspective of a psychologist who wanted to use this manga professionally, but… I struggled to get through it and have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it is needed: we have a father prejudiced against gay people, a gay main character, his younger brother, and a mother who knows but supports him “from the shadows.” It’s good that the boy’s mother has thoughtful reflections.

The problem with this manga, however, is that it’s far too long — one third of it would have been enough. On top of that, the main characters are irritating. The boy’s mother takes ...

I’ve read a lot of trash isekai and this is the worse of them all.

This was the only offline content I had in a place with poor connection. That’s the only reason I read 3 volumes of this.

The characters: worst I’ve ever seen. The protagonist is clearly not a villager any more, he just has that tag on him. But still he gets straight up offended whenever someone thinks he’s weak because he’s a villager and stops talking to them.

The protagonist is a buffoon most of the time and then suddenly he’s a genius tactician. His partner gets angry because he misunderstands other people’s capabilities ...

If you want a very basic introduction to DBs this is a decent point to start.
I'd recommend adding a more technical book or lecture to go along with it, since there is no more than basic theory and no relational algebra or exercises.

Did enjoy the concept of an educational Manga tho!

You'll cover the Relational Model, some SQL and basic best practices.

Story: (10/10)

Not once have I felt completely bored with this manhua. Nan Hao & Shang Feng is simply a story about the misadventures and shenanigans of two high school boys and their friends, family, and acquaintances. As simple and slice of lifey as the plot sounds, this is definitely the most hilarious story I've come across. It's basically a goldmine of "the boys" kind of humor. 10/10 will take you back to your high school days. Be wary though, no amount of humor will prepare you for certain emotional chapters and backstories.
Last but not least, since this story is Chinese, it features a ton of ...

I’m baffled that there are no reviews for Wet Sand, so here I go. Girl, what a journey! First of all: the art is amazing. No one can deny that.

As a BL lover, I care more about the journey than the ending itself. As a piece of entertainment, Wet Sand does an incredible job of pulling the reader into its universe. I fell in love with Ian because he feels deeply human and genuinely well-written, showing even the ugliest sides of ourselves, the ones we try so hard to hide from everyone else.

As a reader, I’d advise you not to focus too much on the ...

This manwha is such a fun read! The characters are all extremely likeable, and the protagonist is absolutely adorable. I love the slice of life moments where she remembers her life in Korea and uses all of the advice and experience to rationalize the world in her own cute way. The supporting characters might not have a lot of depth but seeing how much they care about Tia and making sure she finds her father is so heartwarming.

I found that the artstyle is similarly great with Tia being drawn to be so cute. I think that if you enjoy stories that pull at your ...

You can take this as a pretty personal review. This series really means a lot to me. It was one of the first yuri manga that got me into the genre, and it also inspired me to try writing stories myself.

One thing I really love about it is the slow pacing and the atmosphere, especially during the moments between Sakura and Takamine. Another thing is how well the story handles the characters and their development. Both the main characters and their friends feel natural and believable.

Maybe I’m rambling a bit, but what I really want to say is that this manga is definitely worth reading ...

Tomodachi Game is a gripping psychological survival manga that revolves around trust, betrayal, and the terrifying cost of money between friends. The story follows Yuuichi Katagiri and a group of classmates who are dragged into a mysterious series of “friendship games” designed to test the strength—and fragility—of their bonds while dealing with massive debts.
What makes the series stand out immediately is its psychological intensity. Unlike typical survival stories that rely on physical danger, Tomodachi Game weaponizes human relationships. Every game forces characters to question not only others, but their own morality. Lies, manipulation, and emotional breakdowns are constant tools of survival, and the story thrives ...

Alice in Borderland is a brutal, high-stakes survival manga that turns life itself into a deadly game. The story follows Arisu, a directionless young man who suddenly finds himself in an abandoned version of Tokyo where people are forced to participate in lethal “games” to survive. Each game is tied to playing cards, with increasing difficulty and psychological intensity depending on the suit and number.

What makes the series exceptional is its constant tension. Every chapter feels dangerous, not just physically but mentally, as characters are pushed into situations that test logic, morality, trust, and the limits of human behavior. The games themselves are brilliantly designed—often ...

A Galaxy Next Door is a gentle and heartfelt romance manga that blends everyday slice-of-life storytelling with a light science fiction twist. The story follows Ichiro Kuga, a struggling manga artist who unexpectedly begins working with Shiori Goshiki, a mysterious assistant who is soon revealed to have an otherworldly secret that changes the nature of their relationship.
What makes the series stand out is its calm and comforting atmosphere. Rather than relying on dramatic conflict or exaggerated misunderstandings, it focuses on slow emotional development and the growing bond between its two leads. The romance feels soft and patient, built through small daily interactions, shared responsibilities, and ...

Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry is a high-energy fantasy action series set in a world where knights use magical abilities called “Blazers,” and students at elite academies compete for rank and prestige. At the center of the story is Ikki Kurogane, a so-called “Worst One” who is considered talentless, and Stella Vermillion, a top-tier prodigy whose life becomes unexpectedly intertwined with his.
One of the strongest aspects of the series is its execution of the underdog trope. Ikki stands out not because he suddenly gains overwhelming power, but because he wins through discipline, strategy, and sheer determination. His fights are often tactical and tightly written, relying on ...

Just Because! is a quiet, slice-of-life romance story that captures the bittersweet feeling of high school endings and unresolved emotions. Set during the final semester of senior year, it follows a group of students who are suddenly brought back together when an old classmate returns after years away, stirring up memories, regrets, and unspoken feelings.

As a novel, it leans heavily into introspection and subtle character dynamics rather than dramatic plot twists. Much of the story is built on small interactions—glances, brief conversations, and moments of hesitation that slowly reveal how each character has changed over time. This makes it feel grounded and realistic, especially for ...

11eyes: Tsumi to Batsu to Aganai no Shoujo is a supernatural action-horror manga adaptation of the visual novel, blending urban fantasy, mystery, and psychological tension into a compact but fairly engaging story. It follows Kakeru Satsuki and his companions as they are drawn into a distorted alternate world known as the “Red Night,” where they must fight against monstrous beings while uncovering the dark truths behind their reality.

The manga does a solid job of establishing atmosphere. The Red Night setting is eerie and visually striking, and the constant sense of danger helps maintain tension throughout. The supernatural elements, combined with the character-driven drama, give the ...

5 Centimeters per Second is a beautifully melancholic story that focuses less on traditional plot structure and more on emotional distance, time, and the slow decay of childhood connections. The manga adaptation carries over much of that tone, expanding slightly on certain moments but still staying faithful to the original film’s introspective style.

At its core, the story follows Takaki Tōno and his relationship with Akari Shinohara, tracing how their bond weakens as life steadily pulls them in different directions. It’s less about dramatic events and more about the quiet, everyday reality of growing apart. That’s where its strength lies: the atmosphere is consistently soft, reflective, ...

I am late to the trend with this story. Especially since the manga got a boost in popularity because of anime adaptation. And so, I decided to give it a read. And after catching up to the latest chapter, I must say that I have become a fan of this manga.

This is amazing at creating a creepy feeling. It perfectly mixes a dark romance with real scary monster themes.

The best part of the story is how it sticks to the "cosmic horror" theme. While some stories just use monsters for looks, this one understands the main point: humans are nothing compared to a powerful being they can't understand. This is terrifying because she has no chance against him. There is no way to "fix" him, no way to run away, and the scariest part is that she can’t even choose to die to escape him. The way he messes with her head and tricks her ...

What a respectable and beautiful profession, one I had never really thought about to this extent before. Growing up in a culture where embalming is prohibited, but where death itself carries its own kind of beauty and meaning, this gave me a completely new perspective on how we look at the dead.

On one hand, embalming restores someone to the way we once knew and loved them, creating a final image we can hold onto and remember them by. On the other hand, from what I’ve always believed, the body is only a vessel, and the state it is in after death no longer truly matters. ...

Having just completed S1, right off the gate, this Manhwa itself is really fucked up. A black flag manhwa with a black flag ML. It contains every possible thing you'd find in a typical black flag manhwa. Lots of trigger warnings. I planned to actually drop this, but I just kept reading, because I wanted to know what would eventually happen to the MC. He's pretty smart. A green flag overall (or so I thought 😃)

"Kill or be killed."
"Conquer or be conquered."

Vinland Saga takes you down one of the greatest paths of redemption I’ve ever seen in manga.

At first, you expect this series to just be another brutal Viking story filled with revenge, war, and bloodshed and while it definitely has all of that, it becomes so much more. Beneath the violence is a deeply emotional story about growth, purpose, and what it truly means to be strong.

Thorfinn’s journey is what makes this manga a masterpiece. Watching him go from a rage-filled child consumed by revenge into someone searching for peace and meaning is honestly incredible. The character development throughout ...

pathetic MC with minor development who took ages to get over his EX

The only thing that kept me reading was how cute the main character is. Other than that, this story is extremely boring and uninteresting. It follows the classic trope of girl gets abused, gets saved and then the people that abused her continue to try to hurt the main character. All of the other characters are either completely on the protagonist's side or completely against the protagonist. There's no depth to the characters and the story drags.

Unless you like generic stories, I would avoid this one. There is nothing that surprises you in the plot and no character worth continuing to read the story for.

As a series I like the concept of the plot and characters, but I can't help but finding the overall writing and pacing to be desired. It feels like there was a first arc which was supposed to introduce the world and characters but got scrapped at the last minute. Storylines feel rushed and like they are missing the set up necessary for a story to function. The art itself is fairly standard for a modern shonen but nothing to particularly write home about.

Blood Bank is an engaging story with memorable characters and a surprisingly dense plot and worldbuilding. Unfortunately it needed a bit more time to flesh out all of the moving pieces, and that prevents it from reaching the heights of true greatness.

Every character choice and arc is interesting and clearly well thought out, but we never spend time getting to establish and marinate in the finer details before immediately moving to the next point. From the initial conflict with Reign, to Cinderella the Art, and even crucial items like the early stages of Shell and One's relationship, each gets so little time to set up ...

When I first heard of Otomen, I was excited to read it. A story where the gender roles are flipped and has a good amount of chapters available.

Now that I'm done, I'm just left with mixed feelings. I did enjoy it in the beginning and liked the cast of eccentric characters, at least when it comes to the male characters. Yah after chapter 168 the series got axed and with it my enjoyment of the series as a whole. Leaving the feeling of what the hell was the point of reading all those chapters if everything is still unknown.

And i really enjoyed it!!

At first the manga felt like a drag because i had so many other mangas to read, but when i actually got down to reading it, it was very easy to consume. Jigokuraku has a great story, a power system that isn't too difficult to understand (but the names of the "tensen" are hard to remember) and great characters - I would argue that the characters are the best part of the show.

Such a wonderful and hopeful manga. I think it’s got the perfect balance of shounen qualities, and when it needs to get serious it gets fucking serious. Some all timer moments and characters here. The power system is obviously so cool and creative. Antagonists are amazing, every single one embodies their own sin so well. The final arc is nothing short of phenomenal. For a premise as thorny as divorce and reconciliation, much less one brought by a third party's interference, there needs to be a REALLY good reason for things to deteriorate until that point.

What this story chose to make as a core conflict is a series of escalating misunderstanding and basically ML's insecurity preventing him to be honest.

That's cheap. That's lazy. That's simply the narrative wanting the thrill of reconciliation WITHOUT giving the main characters genuine flaws to fix.

So the reconciliation happens with things as simple as the ML saying his true feelings. and EVEN THEN the narrative has to delay that as long as possible ...

On a more detailed part:

Story-

I've also taken the plunge into other new and recent manga that were published by Panini Manga and most of there were mediocre (7 stars) at best.
