I started this when I was looking for a "Villainess" webtoon, but it turns out itt is more of a "buzz word" rather than an actual theme, since the story barely revolves around this fact. Don't let it deter you though, as it manages to keep a lighthearted vibe through what seems to be a low stakes story at a first glance.

The story starts with Judith, a reincarnated woman in her favorite "revenge" novel, who was a minor villain with little consequence, but decides to turn the tables this time around to help Luca, the novel's protagonist and her character's nephew. So, this time Judith is nice and uses her knowledge to avoid tragedies, while navigating a new side of the world at the side of Ruediger, Luca's uncle. So far it sounds like your typical isekai, right? BUT! It excels in having an amazing balance in comedy, romance, slice of life and some lowkey mystery that slowly builds up more. You start it with the intention of the plot, but you stay surprisingly due to emotional investment in the main trio's interactions and relationship development. That being said, the character development is not equal among them, but in general it's so balanced that it does not even matter. But always remember that Ruediger is the greatest man a girl can get and Luca is the more precious boy ever! And a bonus? No silly, cliche misunderstandings!

Apart from the main trio that is basically the entire story, the secondary cast, background stories and lore are there to solidify the plot along the way, with some surprisingly intense scenes and with characters that are morally gray or humans with deep flaws, that the plot does not try to justify in the hopes of forgiving them. They are just there and you just get to accept them. Or not!

Another thing that pleasantly surprised me was the art! It's gorgeous and the amount of details in every outfit they wear is so well done, but what won me over is the cinematography itself. There were so many panels that I could see how the artist wanted to express feelings by giving more depth into a scene with changing the focus of the "lens" and the angle of various shots and setting everything so well! I found myself going over some scenes again and again due to how they were set up. Of course, let us not forget how pretty every character is! There is eyecandy for everything you might want! Except maybe background settings, which are pretty basic, but I never cared much about them.

All in all, this was a big surprise to me, because I was prepared for a mediocre isekai and I got a mostly lighthearted story that slowly became more serious with amazing character chemistry and it managed to sneak into my favorites, along with Luca! I just would not really care much about the "villainess" theme, which seems more of a note, rather than an important story part.
