This is not going to be a story for everyone, and it does not pull punches with how it starts off either. Miyagi asks Sendai to lick her foot, and Sendai, for whatever reason, obliges. Miyagi never threatens her with either violence or ruining her reputation at school, she's in fact very respectful of this and prefers to treat her room as a separate space from the world outside - a space where only her and Sendai can exist, and the things they do and say to each other carry no weight outside of it. Lovely work. Natori and Hinata have an extremely magnetic aura, their relationship not only to each other but to alcohol as well is core to the story. Alcohol carries a different weight to each of them but it all comes together through their shared earnest appreciation for it and the company they give each other. It makes each of their drinking sessions so intimate and you can't help but bounce your knee waiting for the next time they can get a moment together.
They are far from the only interesting pair in this work. There's a human doctor and nurse oni pair, and an idol oni ... |
