What a waste of excitement. I haven’t been disappointed like that in a while.

This movie tells you literally nothing. It was most definitely created without consulting any women or people who experienced SA. It’s just sad for the sake of being sad. I am most cross with media that has astonishing visuals and just pours all its beauty down the drain of storytelling.

Also I absolutely despise that husband dude, Jaque. He didn’t deserve a single good thing. Any woman, any human, at this point. Just a piece of scum in every possible way. Let’s not forget that he was the greatest villain of ...

Mixed Feelings

This anime taught me two things plot-wise:

1. In a great story the villain is always some kind of idea instead of a specific character. In case of Gurren Lagan it’s the idea of a person being held back by societal norms and morals, being unable to reach their full potential. The embodiment of this idea are anti-spiral creatures: faceless, all alike, almost non-living.I knew it before (of course, that’s how the conflict is being bild) but TTGL was a great reminder.

2. Fan service can play a very important role in making a story looking silly and unserious only for this perception to be smashed ...

Haikyuu!! (Manga) add
This manga helped me through my childhood trauma.

While I was reading I remembered how when I was around 5 years old I went to weekend trainings with my dad and my kindergarten friends. Sadly, it wasn’t a joyful experience. I was always the shortest. The slowest. I don’t remember a single time I’ve won while I went there.
And every time I failed I tried to hold back my tears because I didn’t want my dad to be sad because of me.
I revisited those memories dozens of times because of Haikyuu.
