Season 2 continues right off where season 1 left off. The gang continues to learn about Tao and the Tensen, while trying to steal the elixir of life, and make it back home safely. There's a lot of information, and Tao is still confusing as you will have a hard time remembering which element helps which, and which hinders which, and what is uhh...regenerating, stuff like that yeah. But I gotta say, despite all that I still like it because of one reason. The characters.
IMO, the original characters who is left from reason 1, which is Gabi, Sagiri, Aza, Nurugai, Gantetsusai, Yuzuriha (my waifu), Fuichi,
...
and Mei- makes this show. There's plenty of screen time for each characters to shine, and more backstory to help you feel a bit more connected (although it does feel forced at times). Each character has a complex feeling of what they should do, which makes the plot that much more interesting. I won't spoil too much, but of course the best is still Gabi. He is confronting his past, and with a determined goal in mind, our boy is pulling out all the stops and tricks to get back to his wife. Gabi becomes even more of a badass this season as he incorporates all the techniques he learns right away into his arsenal.
The action- ohh boy. Yeah they definitely spared no expense. The action is amazing. Each slice, each power up, lots of colors, lots of techniques, and it's all very beautiful. I'd say even if you don't like the other parts, the action alone is worth watching.
How about the plot? Well- it's still the same as before. The tensen are trying to perfect the elixir by using humans. The humans are still trying to steal the elixirs. Oh yeah- and there's another group sent by the main land mixed with Asaemons and shinobi's. Led by the insane Shugen and the next "Gabi". Shugen- oh lord what a way to introduce a character. The way he acts is so interesting and I can't wait to learn more about him. Anyways, that's the plot but the season does end on an cliffhanger that of course makes you want more.
The negative I would say is the same that unfortunately stains a lot of action/fantasy animes these days (Juju Kaisen, Demon Hunters, Solo Leveling, etc). And that is- the humans are simply too OP. Like, humans are stabbed, shot in the head, have their organs ripped out, but uhh- they're okay. Like the next scenem, they're good as new and ready to run a marathon. It doesn't make sense and takes me out of the immersion. Like, humans are doing this without Tao. And the villains are ridiculously weak. Another disappointment, cause the Tensens were built up to be god-like beings, but they're actually pretty pathetic. Their only saving grace is regeneration, but there's sooo many ways around that to kill them- it's really stupid and unfair. The Tensens should've just become humans if they want more power, cause humans clearly are the superior creatures. The show does get too shounen-y, where you just know the good guys will always win and nobody dies except the bad guys. So you don't really feel like there's any risks or stakes with these battles. Cool action though, but yeah a let down because it's very predictable who will win.
That said, I still enjoy it and if you like season 1, you for sure will like season 2 as well. 8/10 would recommend.

An anime with an intriguing main storyline and lots of good action.
No point in reiterating the premise as you've already read it, except I will say this anime is better than it's described. You may or may not have guessed it- but something seriously sounds off about this world. Why would the heroes be branded the bad guys? Why resurrect only the worst criminals? Well- unfortunately we never get these answers this season, but the show does a fantastic job settig up the bigger picture to all why this is happening.
Let's talk character first. Xylo is a great MC. He's rough around the edges, but
...
he has his reason. His back story is only lightly shed on, but it's still amazing. I'm sure we'll know more in the future. But when you learn about it, you can't help but root and feel bad for the guy. He's also a man's man- doing what he has to no matter the circumstances. Not only is he a great fighter, but he also isn't dumb like your typical muscle bound MC. Xylo uses his wits and cunning to help him and his friends out of variations sticky situations. In short, he's awesome. The second character to mention is the goddess Teoritta. She doesn't stand out, but she is a bundle of joy and very important as she is basically Xylo's better conscious. Teroritta plays her part well. The last shout out is Kvia. Holy shit. When we first meet her, I thought what a basic character. Seen that type before. Yup. But man- no spoiler but her closing arc towards the end is absolutely amazing. The rest of the cast are also good. Xylo's teammates are all different enough, each with their own intriguing background stories. The villains unfortunately don't get much time to shine, but there is a reason for that and I can't spoil it.
Action wise- if you're here for that then you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Lot's of fast movements, shiny explosions, sword combats, etc. It's not the best, but it looks pretty, so I'm all for it.
The best part for me though, as I kind of mentioned above, is the intrigue and mystery the show built throughout these 12 episodes. So many questions I need answers for! Heroes, Goddesses, demons, the church, the knights, etc. I love stuff like this where it isn't just mindless slaughter, and there's a grander scheme at play.
That said, the reason I did knock it down a bit was because the over all story is good, but the smaller stories inbetween are kind of predictable and bland. Xylo and this group go here because if not the church kills them. They have to defeat this demon lord or defense this territory. And repeat. Another negative is that the powers aren't explained in this show. I'm not talking the ressurection power, but just in general. Like, some humans are straight up OP, having super human powers, or the ability to basically control magic. That said, this is always a pet peeve of mines, so I always have to subtract some for it.
In the end, I really enjoyed this show and I think most will too. I really hope for season 2 so we can uncover more of the mystery surrounding this world.

The other day, I saw a clip of the MC rejecting himself before a blue hair girl could reject him on YT, and thought it was absolutely hilarious. After that, I just had to check out this anime.
And... this anime is very mid. This show has decent cornerstones, and certain characters do get their time to shine, but the biggest let down is the interactions between characters. Mainly- the MC.
Nukumizu is not just your typical bland MC- he's a far superior version where he literally does nothing but stand there. He's like a tree. But even that's too generous- so we'll say a twig. Nuku,
...
as they call him, is very hard to relate to, and also does nothing for the show. Like, when his friends are in trouble or need him- yeah he's physically there, but he doesn't give any positive advice or even meaningful words. He doesn't comfort them. He's just there so they cry then uhh- get over it. Literally. His friends wipe their tears, then the next scene it's everything is dandy again. Freaking hell, even Squall from FF8 wasn't this malicious. We don't know Nuku's goals or his passion. I guess he likes manga, and says he's an introvert, but naw that ain't it. He's literally a twig.
So the MC is pretty bad- what about the rest? Honestly, two girls carried the show, which is why I gave it a higher score than normal. The first is Lemon. She has a strong personality and gives the anime life. Lemon is a track star, who is at first seems too bubbly, but you do see her grow into her own person by confronting her feelings. The second, and probably my favorite, is Komari. She is very VERY shy, can hardly speak in public without stuttering, and is a true introvert (unlike the MC). But she gathers her strength to continue because she wants to overcome her loneliness. I actually find Komari has the most personality out of everyone. Yanami is the last girl- and man honestly she is so cute but very annoying. Like- I watch a lot of shows where her type exist, and I usually like them. Not a true tsun, but mean spirited in a cute way. But Yanami is just there to eat food, look pretty, and be clueless. There's no chemistry between her and the MC. Okay, there was one scene where she gave good him advice, but that doesn't erase what her character is overall. The rest of the cast are okay, but no one stands out, because they're just the same person (nice, misunderstood, etc). The interactions are a let down. Like I said- are these people really friends? Yeah, they're like, physically there for one another, but don't give any advice or encouragement. It's like, they just exist in the same space so they're forced to hang out, but that's it.
Story wise- there's not much progression. It's kind of like looking at pictures. They do this, now it's beach time, now it's school festival, now theme park. And more eating. So yeah. Don't expect anything more.
So what is good, besides Lemon and Komari? I will give this show props and say the humor can be pretty damn good at times. Like some scenes had me laughing out loud. Oh yeah- also the VA and art is very nice! I think the VA's are one of my favorites in a long time. The voices act like real people instead of being anime-ish, which I absolutely love. My favorite is Yanami's VA because the way she talks is unique and hilarious.
Over all, I wanted more. I want more heart tugs. I want more REAL drama (not I like him, but he has a gf so cry time). I want pressure. I want hard decisions. I wanted a real story about romance, heart aches, and friendships. Didn't deliver, so that's why I'm giving this a mix review.

This is my favorite season up to date. Yes, I like it even more than season 1. Why?
THINGS GOT REAL.
This season follows Aqua and B Komachi as they continue down their path. This is a spoiler free review, so I don't want to give away too much. Let's talk about why I rate this season a 10/10.
#1 - CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT. I knew Ruby was going to get her chance to shine, and freaking finally she does! She came in guns blazing. Mentally broken aftering finding out her sensei was murder, she goes to the dark side and plays the game that Aqua and other have
...
been. And it was legit scary how good she was. But along the way, you see her broken pieces start to add up as she has to make a decision about what kind of person she ulitmately wants to be. IMO, the strongest character this season. I really like that she finally puts away the fake fascade, and sees reality for what it is. Second place is Aqua. Man, my boy cannot catch a break. Again, no spoilers but as you already know he always puts everyones happiness in front of his. This season, it's more of that and some. Aqua is crossing a line that he can never come back from. That said, I do like ultimately he is still a caring person. Arima gets a lot of love too. Her arc...man my heart was pounding the whole time. I felt so bad her, and the show did a great job wrapping up how strong of a person she is. The rest are good too. You even get backgrounds and growth of Akane, Memcha, and Miyako. They're all great, but Akane's was straight up terrifying. All in all, every character ends up making tough and life changing decisions. That's what makes a show great.
#2- The story is so damn intense. I was on the edge of my seat almost every scene, wondering what will happen and who will show up. Unlike previous season, I feel there was no bridge scenes. Like, every thing was done with a purpose, and everything circled back to the murder of Ai. It's a perfect blend of mystery, supernatural, and drama- mixed in with cute moments here and there.
#3-Character interaction. Oshi no Ko is always great at this, but this season stepped it up another level. Characters love. Characters hate. Characters forgive. Characters argue. Characters support one another. The dialogue can go from serious to hliarious in seconds. IMO, whoever wrote the script did a tremendous job. The way the lines were written for each character was bullseye.
#4- This one probably doesn't doesn't need to said, but should be mentioned- TOP NOTCH VA AND MUSIC PRODUCTION AS ALWAYS. Every single VA is amazing. Every single one. The opening OST is a complete banger, and even better than season 1. Adding that to my music list for sure.
To sum up, this season finally put the kiddy gloves away, and gave us even more of what makes this show amazing. More twists. More plot thickening. More character devloping. More intense and heart breaking and aching moments. CANNOT WAIT FOR SEASON 4!

A very good and enjoyable season 2.
This season focuses entirely on Frieren, Stark, and Fern's adventure as they travel the Northern Plateau. It is quite different from season 1. This season is more like...small stories in each episodes, which is different from season 1. That said, it is sadly only 10 episodes, so that probably plays a big role in why. That said, the stories in each episode is still quite enjoyable. These stories are very home-y and chill, most of the time. Middle of the season does have a longer arc, which is easily the best part of the season, but I wont' spoil
...
it. It also shows Stark's tremendous growth as a character.
Characters - I wish they focused more on growth, aside from Stark. You do get some background of a couple other mages though. But Fern kind of stays the same, although she opens up a bit more. Frieren is Frieren- she's awesome and kawaii as always. I absolutely adore her. You also get to see glimpses of the hero party's history, which always warms my heart. But over all, nothing unexpected. 8/10
Story - Again, small stories and small progession. I was hoping the Nothern Plateau would be a lot more dangerous. I mean it certainly is a step up, but at no point were the characters truly really in danger. But the stories were nice and brings a smile to the face. 7/10
Action - There's action, but most of it is a summary and montages. But the middle arc where they throw down is absolutely incredible. Because of that alone, I'm scoring it a 8/10.
Music/VA/Animation - All top notch. The VA's in this show is one of my favorite of all time. The animations are just beautiful. 10/10
Overall, a very chill season 2. I do feel like it's more of a bridge season, like prepping for season 3 which should hold more weight and action. I still enjoy it a lot and some moments do hit me in the feels. Maybe I'm being too harsh cause season 1 was an absolute 11/10 and one of the best ever, so I was holding season 2 with such high standard, which is why I'm giving it an 8/10. Of course still absolutely recommend. Can't wait for season 3!

This anime is about humanity's survival against Aragami, who are monsters that consumes organic and even inorganic (inconsistent though) materials. It's very good, and we see the world through many character's view.
The story itself isn't unique, and has been done hundreds of time before. However, unlike many that failed, God Eater does a good job setting up this world to have a feeling of true fear and hopelessness. The only way to kill Aragami is using a device call God Arc, and the only way to use God Arc is to infuse human bodies with Aragami cells. That said, God Eaters, although they have amazing
...
speed and strength, with an incredible weapon- are still outnumbered and many times, outpowered by Aragami.
The story also isn't so simple as there are a lot of politics at play, including deceptions by would be friends (which is one my favorite parts). Like you see why things are the way they are with humanity, even though you can clearly see it's unfair.
How are the characters? Lenka is the lead. He's solid. He is kind of a shounen protagonist in this weary world. A lot of stuff he says sounds corny, like "I'll save everyone" and "The power of friendship". However there is one thing that makes me like Lenka- his power is very grounded. Unlike many shounen protag who are OP and always gets power up moments during dire situation, Lenka gets his butt handed to him almost all the time. Lenka tries hard, but realistically there's just nothing he can do to save the day because the Aragami are just too powerful. This is evident by him seeing his family, friends, coworkers, and ordinary people die day after day. And yet, he does still keep his spirits high- which is kinda his theme (and the show). Overall, they did a good job with him being the main lead. Oh- also there is gonna be one episode dedicated to his back story and yeah- it's about one of the saddest episodes I've ever seen. I legit teared up.
Other mains include Alisa- who is also a 3rd gen God Eater like Lenka. Alisa is annoying and kind of your typical bitch character, but you come to understand her as her past is unveiled. Soma is the other teammate, and he's awesome. No nonsense and also has one of the most tragic back stories. Sakuya is the 2nd in command, and she's the glue of the team. I like her. There this other kid who is Lenka's age but he's annoying and forgetable (yeah, forgot his name). It's just not his teammates that are good though- the show also revolves around the 3 scientist who created God Eaters- Aisha, Paylor, and Johannes. To me, this was one of the best part of the show as it tells the struggle of how the 3 surivived, rised, and gave humanity hope.
The absolute best character and best part of the show, no doubt, is Lindow. Maaannnn, what a character. He is the leader of the the 1st unit, which includes Lenka. Lindow is what every person should strive to be. He's strong. He's kind. He's leads. He's also not a blind idiot who just follows orders. No. What makes Lindow intriguing is actually his demeanor to go against the rest of humanity and follow his own heart. I won't spoil too much, but he is a 10/10 character and one of my favorites of all time.
Production wise- animation is great. The battles are a bit shaky at times, but solid. VA's are top notch. And finally- the music. Goddamn 10/10 OST's. I immediately downloaded all the tracks. If you still don't want to watch this anime, at least listen to its OST. Guarantee you'll love it.
So yeah- definitely a great anime and should watch. Shame there's no season 2.

I seldom watch revenge anime, because most of them don't have satisfying endings. This one however, is different and is very fullfilling.
Light gets tricked to join a party, and to go into the hardest dungeon call Abyss. There, they basically torture and try to kill him before he luckily steps on a teleportation circle and gets sent to the deepest depth. This allows Light to unlock his true potential, where he levels up to 9999 and creates a goddamn kingdom down there. Light then seeks revenge, as well as pass judgement on the world outside if it should be blessed or destroyed.
Let's talk about the
...
revenge first. As I mentioned before- it's very statisfying. Light comes up with convoluted plans just to torture the traitorr party members. I'm talking fake agents, creating buildings, scheming around their life- all for them to end in despair as they realize Light is still alive, and he is going to deliver punishment. I won't spoil more than that- but yeah it's good. The only negative is that the revenge sometimes takes too long. Light likes to monologue a lot lol but it's still very good.
Revenge aside, now for the plot. Very good as well. It does a great job expanding the world along side the revenge aspect. You learn about how society works- for example, humans are treated like scum as they are killed, raped, or forced into slavery. Light not only is planning his revenge, but he sets to destroy discrimination in the world.
Now for the characters. Light as the MC is great. He is, for the most part, a gentle soul. However, when revenge is activated- dude is straight up a menace, which I love because honestly any of us who went through his experience would harbor such hatred as well. Over all, Light is pretty good at scheming and being a leader. I like him. For side characters, there is a lot of them. Not much back stories, but they do serve their purpose well. The concept is similar to Overlod. I enjoyed each and every one of them as they're all unique in their own ways. My personal favorites are Nazuna and Ellie. Nazuna is the strongest warrior serving Light, and she's just the cutest ditzy pie. She's hilarious. Ellie is supposedly a witch, and her magic is insane. Ellie is also the most capable schemer of the group and I felt she was basically Light's right hand man. For the enemies? They're good too. The show does a great job making you really hate them because they treat everyone like dirt. Very satisfying to watch them get knocked off their high horse.
To sum up- this is probably one of the best, if not thee best revenge anime I've ever watched. Even if you don't like revenge plots, it's still worthwhile because there's plenty of other things going on. 8/10- definitely recommend. Oh- btw Light does not complete his revenge as there are still members he must find. I really hope there is a season 2! Would watch right away.

Have you ever watched a show so cringe and corny that you just want to die from second-hand embarrasment?
A long time ago, I watched a similar themed isekai assasin anime (The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat). It was absolutely amazing, so I was super excited about this one. BOY WAS I WRONG.
This show had to be written by a neckbeard duel weilding katanas. It has every possible cliche in anime history and they are all rushed and executed so poorly. In fact, I had to double check this anime wasn't a parody.
Do NOT let the premise fool you.
...
MC and his students are indeed isekai, but MC is NOT an assasin. This idiot is supposed to be an assasin, yet he fights in the front lines all the damn time. Like, his concealment skill is OP but he hardly uses it. He never levels up any assasin skills. Instead, he fights like a dumbass and repeatedly gets saved by his tailed beast- I mean, inner shadow side. Which of course, makes no sense, because the show doesn't elaborate on it one bit. Akira goes down as one of dumbest MC ever. Sad, because the first time we meet him, I liked him. When he got isekai'd, he uses concealment skill to find out what's truly going on. Smart, right? Yeah, sadly this uses up his one and only braincell. After that, Akira completely exposes himself to all his evil enemies- which they then dance around him because the only thing left in Akira's head is a chimp playing two cymbals together (Hi Homer). Basically, Akira is comparable to a talking bonobo.
Now to the worst part- the cringe. My god, there's so much cringe. I think the main reason is because everything is rushed. Rage moment? No build up. Akira is fighting an enemy with no story. And he's about to die- oh no. Here's his power up moment! The lines in this show are so bad. Every shounen line is so over the top, even Naruto/Deku/Luffy are all dying of embarrassment. The love confessions are even worse, and makes your daily soap operas look like a masterpiece.
The side characters aren't much better either. His love interest is Amelia. She's an elf, of course. And a princess, of course. And she's useless- of course. Akira and Amelia meet and swear their undying love to each other by episode 3. Yup. That's totally how romance works. There's a cat too. Typical talking monster cat. Nothing special. And that's about it. The rest are forgettable.
What about the plot? 80% of the show is Akira and Amelia with their cat traveling around seeing stuff. And eating. And saying cringe lines to one another. I'm not kidding.
Is there a positive? Suprisingly, there is one. The final episode. When finally, freaking finally- Akira has to make the choice to become a true assasin. Honestly, had the show focused entirely on Akira's indecisiveness of being a killer, it would be so much better. It's an interesting concept- one we all always wonder about ourselves. Sadly, we get this with 10 minutes left on the show. Oh yeah, I guess another positive is the animation. I do like the art style.
To sum up, I can't believe I watched the entire show. But I feel if I didn't, my review wouldn't be valid. It felt like a duty to warn people to STAY FAR FAR AWAY.

A very cute anime that will melt a lot of hearts, especially if you like slice of life/love animes.
Yuu and Himari met as a child, and their dream is to open an accessory store together. They also have a pledge to get married if they're still single by 30. But slowly, they can't help but fall in love with each other.
The premise is simple, but what really carries the show is HIMARI. What an adorable pundle of joy! Every time she's on screen, she steals the show. I think the main reason is her VA. It's like, this cute nasally voice that is unique and
...
you can't help but love her. Himari's character is also the main catalyst of the show- as she is Yuu's motivation. That said, Himari's actions are not perfect, which is why I do like her. She's realistic- in a way. She gets jealous. She gets mad. She makes irrational decisions. But she can't help it because she does not know how to deal with her romantic feelings towards Yuu.
Speaking of Yuu- he's alright. He's honestly boring and typical of a young boy protagonist. He just goes along with things and tries to do the right thing. That said, he's bearable. But Himari definitely carries his character, despite him being an MC too. Yuu does struggle to confront his feelings too, but it feels like he never makes that choice- rather it's his support that forces him.
Rion Enomoto is the other girl- who is also part of Yuu's child hood memory. I do feel she was wasted in the show. Like, I thought she would have a bigger role, but she's kinda just there. There was an interesting concept to have Yuu choose between Enomoto and Himari, but the show completely skips it. Enomoto isn't even a threat- they kind of just make her sit at the corner while everything is happening. She shows up to provide cute moments, and that's it.
Rest of the support characters are good too. I love Shinji. He's the mastermind student who kinda gets things rolling when the two MC are at a stalemate. My favorite support is Himari's older brother Hibari. He's absolutely hilarious. The best wingman in the show as well.
Over all- you'd think a show about romance would have more intense relationship issues, but it's actually pretty chill. I mean, there are moments, but it's quickly solved and the show just moves on. That said, I did enjoy the ending as finally there's a win for both MC's.

I fell in love with Arifureta season 1 because the intro arc was so good when Hajime had to crawl and survivie in the deepest part of a dungeon. That has long since passed, and now this anime is as generic as they come.
Honestly, season 3 is pretty boring. There's no tension. There's no challenge. It's kind of like reading a book, really. They go here, then do this, then fight, then go do this. Sprinkle in some ecchi stuff here and there to keep it raunchy.
It's not all bad though. There are some positive. The best is probably Shea and her clan invading the
...
empire and gaining their freedom. The latter arc is dedicated to more dungeons, which the group easily clears every time. The show tries to put some "challenges" for Hajime and the gang, but it's easily over come. Like, when an interesting roadblock is there, someone just suddenly has the correct answer. Hey guys, this will enhance negative emotions, so we must overcome with the power of friendship. Yeah! Although it did set up the most hilarious moment of the season when they talked the opposite sentence came out. The challenge though is always you must overcome yourself. And uh- they do, like easily. Or you don't even need to because you can just power through.
Minor spoiler alert*. The last dungeon was a let down. They face their own self in a 1 on 1 battle to overcome their negative thoughts. But like...the rooms are connected, so you can literally just go help the other person defeat their battles. So it's not even a self reflection challenge.
The fight scenes are a total joke and lazily done. The magic makes no sense. I miss when Hajime was a total badass. Now he's sadly just a generic shounen protagonist.
I will watch s4 if there is one just to see what happens, but honestly not looking foward to it.
