Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season

In 2015, on a random week at the end of October, the first season of My Hero Academia was green-lit. At the time, my excitement was through the roof, like a kid at the candy store. It made all in the sense in the world to capitalize on its popularity. Animating this show was also no brainer with the growing trend of superhero media in the modern era. Here we are 10 years later, the final season of My Hero Academia is upon us.

The rivalry between the heroes and villains in this franchise has been old as time. To make a strong impression, we're thrown ... back between the struggle on both sides: All Might and All For One. Their battle has much more impact than just than saving the world. From All Might's point of view, he's trying to save the next generation of heroes. In a plot scripted way, he's also destined to clash with the villian boss. It's a cliche of good vs evil yet My Hero Academia has embraced on its idea. Similarly, My Hero Academia does rely on some common superhero cliches in the final season. One of the recurring themes is character redemption as seen with Aoyoma and even lesser extent, the hero killer Stain. All For One's past is also revealed including his hatred for a certain character and his quest for revenge against All Might. Sound similar? I'm sure you've seen a superhero movie or two about a villain's crusade to exact revenge.

In the present, Bakugo also manages to follow his own path, not one with redemption but his own character. His fight with All For One represents selflessness and growth beyond his usual arrogance. It contrasts against All For One's one-sided blindness to achieve power and domination. Rather, Bakugo's endurance and to prove himself establishes him as a true hero this season. And finally, we cannot forget Deku's archrival in the show: Shigaraki. They're polar opposites of one another. Deku walks the path to create peace and hope, while Shigaraki seeks destruction and chaos, while trying to make things right in his vision. From his perspective, Shigaraki sees the hero system as flawed and tries to correct it in the most extreme ways possible. In one of the most profound moments in the season, we also see how Shiagraki reacts to his feelings and reponses. Even his final words show that he followed his path from the start, to destroy, than to create. However, this season finally allowed Shiagraki to find peace and end of his own suffering. For Deku, he managed to win a battle of ideals. His character is the foil compared to Shiagraki and like in any hero/villain story, one had to win and one had to lose.

My Hero Academia's path to get to the final season was never an easy one or without flaws. It suffered from some pacing issues and perhaps introduced more characters than we bargained for. Among the cast, some got lost in the fold while others were oversaturated. Deku, Bakugo, Shiagraki, and All Might are those who recognize the most throughout this franchise. And indeed, the final season put the spotlight on them to finish all their character stories. The final season also resolved the main storyline of the Final War Arc, a conflict that manifested from the first season. It took 10 years for the anime to reach such a conclusion but no doubt one worth waiting for.

My Hero Academia: Final Season is the amalgamation of Kōhei Horikoshi's hard work and colorful ideas written into a story for his fans to enjoy. While the series has its ups and downs, the final season didn't hold back to give a final conclusion, one that made the most sense from a plot perspective. There are times when I felt like the series tried to milk itself or stayed longer than its welcome. But for this season, 11 episodes felt just enough to sent this season into the sunset. The 10-year saga of the mainline MHA anime is now finally over.

I'm just 3 episodes in and what in the Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight did I just see! That was the most eye candy episode I've seen in forever. No complaints whatsoever! 🖕 To the toxic fanbase mha is at its peak rn . I was sitting on the edge of my chair shouting like a madman halfway in and I'm really not one to show emotions while watching an anime. I was grinning so hard while watching this episode tho! AFO on its toes because of bakugo now that's badass! Idc anymore about the bullying or anything and bakugo calling AFO "baka" in his ... face! I'm all for it! Also the voice actors are absolutely killing it!

Sadly, it's another Attack on Titan situation. Why do they almost never change the ending, at least for the show? I know the author had health issues and deadlines that they were not willing to push back far enough, but this could've been worked out well before this season aired.

The themes are handled so so poorly. It has become the power of friendship x10, a bunch of cameos, and every single thing spelled out for the viewer very loud and slowly because they want to make sure you don't miss anything. This season's rating is purely sunk cost fallacy which I never understood. I wanted ... it to be good, but it's just not.

Where should I even begin?

Season 8 of My Hero Academia disappointed me just as much as Season 7 did. It was tedious to watch and felt completely rushed. The story jumped from scene to scene, creating a confusing mess. What exactly happened to the previous holders of One For All after they entered Shigaraki’s soul? The series leaves the viewer alone with far too many unanswered questions.

The fight against All For One had no real consequences. It was predictable, and of course every student had to get their own moment against him. To me, the battle against All For One was one of the worst ... if not the worst final battles I have ever seen in an anime series. There was no drama, no tension, nothing at all, because everyone survived even in a fight against the supposedly greatest villain of all time.

The ending was stretched across several episodes, but I wasn’t truly satisfied with it either.

I’ve spent a significant amount of my life watching My Hero Academia across eight seasons. So before anyone assumes I’m just a hater, they should keep that in mind especially since I rated several earlier seasons very highly. This is criticism, and I believe it is justified. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, as long as it is expressed politely and objectively.

Conclusion:
The animation was excellent, as one would expect from MHA, and the soundtrack once again left a positive impression. The story, however, was messy and rushed. The final battle did not deserve to be called a final battle.

My rating: 3/10

The end of an era of shounen. I was there when the very first episode dropped, and now, seeing it all come to a close feels surreal. Growing up alongside MHA as an adult was an experience of its own — a reminder of why I fell in love with stories of heroes in the first place.

I’ve always had a soft spot for series that know when to end, and MHA did just that. The fandom aside, I’ve always believed it was a genuinely great shounen at heart — one that balanced spectacle with soul.

I’ve read the manga and even wrote a review for it ... before, but Bones has truly gone all out this season. The production, direction, and animation are top-tier, and it’s clear they wanted to give this story the send-off it deserved.

It’s the end of a great shounen. Many might not agree, but MHA has firmly cemented its place in modern anime history. I gave the manga a 9, but anime-wise, this final season — and honestly the whole series — deserves a solid 9.5 or even a 10.

I think what this season lacks is a little more inner monologue and more flashbacks to break up the pace of a fight after every single move. Unfortunately, there are moments where you get to see a whole minute of continuous action, which is really hard to watch.

And now again without sarcasm. The animation is mediocre. Not bad, but nothing special either. The biggest problem is the pace.
The story is very clichéd and revolves around the power of friendship, but I think that fits the general tone of the series.

Overall, I'm just indifferent. The anime started off promisingly, then took a nosedive with its awful ... filler episodes and an entire filler season, got back on track somewhat with the previous season, and now stumbles across the finish line with a merely okay ending.

If the previous season was already full of predictable plots and absurd storytelling, this latest one has all the flaws of the previous seasons: boredom and poor storytelling. The only truly interesting moments were the fights between Dabi and Himiko, which at least had some emotional impact. But everything involving Tomura Shigaraki and All For One repeats the same old formula: a plot twist to make it seem like they're winning, only for the heroes to be given another one because the author is incapable of crafting a decent fight.

The biggest problem with this anime, and also the manga, is that the author seems too ... timid to take real risks. He refuses to kill off the main characters and constantly saves them through forced and tedious plot conveniences, completely eliminating any semblance of importance. The battles that are supposed to be epic or emotional end up being insignificant because nothing really changes: nobody dies, nobody evolves, and nobody learns anything.

Furthermore, the story keeps bestowing new powers, second chances, and a false sense of "character development" upon heroes who haven't earned it. It seems each story arc exists solely to prolong the inevitable, rather than tell a compelling story. The pacing is uneven, the tone attempts to be dark but comes across as melodramatic and empty, and the supposed moral depth between heroes and villains crumbles into superficial clichés and endless speeches.

My Hero Academia has been declining more and more each day, and this season contains all the flaws of the previous ones.

A small update: The entire anime season has been riddled with plot holes; not a single battle is spared.

What does Boku no Hero Academia teach us?

- There has to be a reason behind why a person is evil, he has to have a background full of grief and the onus on you to hard reset his very own beliefs.
- The bully and the victim should be treated equally, they are both at fault. Adults should not help the bully to change his worldview, eventually, he will definitely get a character development phase and there it is, he is a full-fledged grown-up which society admires to the fullest.
- Governments should provide the most prominent figure in its liberation history a salaryman job.

There are ... a lot of characters that did not get share from the story (Principal Nezu, Fillers in Class 1-B, Lady Nagant, Doctor really what happened to him?, Midoriya’s father, Mirko) and characters author forget to mourn at the end (Star and Stripe, Twice, Shimura family)

I never leave a review. I have almost 90 days of watch time I've never left a review.

This is not going to be a meta review, moreso the thoughts and feelings that I had after watching the final season. My hope is that in understanding how much I would have to be moved to write this out, you will understand why I personally find this to be the best ending to any story I've ever had the pleasure of expriencing.

My Hero is a story that has always put the "other" first. Everything the heroes do is for the betterment of others. A hero puts their ... body on the line for others. A hero cares about everyone. A hero can't help but think "how can I help someone else". It's honestly so moving for me. I think Horikoshi does an amazing job in encapsulating that. For all of My Hero's faults at the end of the day I *love* this story.

I think throughout the story Horikoshi is constantly saying "Helping others matters. Helping others works". Through a principled stance of caring about people, you can make a difference. And I think the ending does such an amazing job of driving that home. When you take action people notice and people get inspired. And yet Horikoshi says that's not enough. Literally. And I LOVE that, because it IS not enough. You **must** find a way to pass the baton, to help the next generation as they are inspired to continue helping others act that out.

There is so much love in this story. I guess at the end of the day that's what a hero is. Someone who loves. Whether that's as grand as loving humanity or as singular as loving your partner-- you become a hero to those people you love. My Hero boldly declares that love is words and love is action. Unfortunately the words are escaping me right now but the way that everyone just cares for each other so deeply, it's something so beautiful it can't really be encapsulated by words. It's something you have to experience-- start to finish.

I love this story. I love My Hero's message. I love the amazing cast. I love the villains too. I love the dialogue. I love the VA’s performances. I love the soundtrack. And damn it I loved every second of this ending, start to finish.

I love anime so much

My Hero Academia has finally, after 8 seasons of unrelenting cringe that would make even an edgy teenager wither, has finally come to its conclusion. Good bye and Good Riddance. This is a garbage pile of a series that somehow manages to rip off Sky-High, a terrible B rated superhero movie about high school super heroes, while still being worse....

MHA as a series that is extremely overrated, and is fundamentally, just not a good show. The vast majority of the series is just Midoriya embodying all the worst traits of the "Well I want to try and redeem the villain regardless of how many people ... they killed" trope. And besides our main protagonist, the rest of the cast is so large that in essence they all end up being defined by one or two dimensional tropes based on relevance to their plot. This series even had a character (Mineta) that was purely defined by his incel-bait misogynist slobbering over any woman who is near him. Mineta as a character completely trivializes many horrible experiences women have to go through when it comes to obsessive men as "Comedy". The dichotomy between "All for One" and "One for All" is some weird reference to the book "The Three Musketeers", being just the breaking up of their main 'catchphrase'. Yet, it takes the catchphrase and manipulates it into trying to fulfill instead representative of a stereotypical good v. evil factions? All for One being embodiment of evil, One for All being embodiment of good, which misses the point of the original quote "All for one and One for all" that was in the book, and I absolutely despise when people randomly put references from literature into their media while having such a lack of understanding of it that I can only conclude that they never actually read the book in the first place....

I would rather do anything else than have to sit through the absolute travesty that is this series again.. The only redeeming thing about this season of the show is that it is the last one. Thank god.

What captures my attention is the sheer fact that this series has been a subject of love by the same studio that has been animating it for the better part of 10 years now. Even though My Hero Academia is nowhere near as popular as it was a couple of years ago, it hasn't pulled back any punches in its visual direction and its pretty detailed world building and cast of characters.
With it concluding so soon i can only just say that it has been an absolute joy to see such care ... and passion being put into what truly has been a very exceptional shounen. It might have its flaws, with mainly its weakness being its enormous cast (which is also arguably its greatest asset) and the occasional weird pacing in the previous seasons, but to me it has always stood out the most compared to other mainstream anime.

If you are reading this, then you certainly have always been avid watcher for arguably one of the most influencual anime of the past decade. The evolution and growth:

Of The World's Greatest Hero.

Firstly, let me just say My Hero Academia is not my favourite shounen. It’s not even my favourite new-gen shounen. But I give credit where credit is due. And after this season, that credit is certainly, unequivocally due with enthusiasm.

Bones has absolutely smashed it out the park this season. I can’t even begin to describe how incredible the animation and direction is for every single episode so far. THIS is the kind of love and attention to detail that final seasons and finales deserve. Every single one of the first 4 episodes so far have been masterfully adapted, from the animation to the colours to ... the music. Episodes 2 and 3 even brought a tear to my eye. There were some manga panels that I didn’t think could be properly translated to animation with the same level of beauty, but I have been proven wrong.

Truly this is the level of care an ultimate arc deserves (I’m looking at you, OPM Season 3).

If you’ve ever been interested in giving MHA a go, now is the time. I can say with certainty that it’s ending with a bang. And I am forever greatful to Bones for continuing to adapt some of the best stories ever made (FMA:B and Mob Psycho to name a few) with such a stunningly artistic flair. As an artist and animation nerd myself, sorely disappointed by other shows this season, Bone’s love for giving MHA the ending is deserves has restored by faith in the animation industry.

This is just a quick review as it's my first one. My hero started back when I was in middle school at the age of 15 and ever since then I've been an avid fan, not die hard but pretty avid. As of writing this review I finished the most recent episode, episode 8. And without a doubt this anime has blown my expectations through the roof. The culmination of every season watched throughout this past 9 years hits hard all at the same time within this past few episodes and its gut wrenching to see it finally end. They did a phenomenal job giving ... the fans the quality that they deserve to close off this beautifully yet flawed piece of an anime.

S8 has been a wild ride so far. The start was kinda shaky, why the hell spend almost 10 mins on recap footage we’ve already seen? and the stupid fanservice jokes, this time hagakure? not funny at all, just kills whatever tension the show was trying to build. still, some moments actually worked, like a few of the side fights, those had some spark and were fun to watch.

bakugo is absolutely stealing the show this season. we’re back with classic kacchan energy. the guy comes back from the dead and he’s unstoppable, smiling, laughing, completely owning every scene. and the silent teamwork between Deku and ... him? no words, just instinct, and it hits so hard. shows how much they’ve grown, and I love that detail.

The animation, HOLY FUCKING shit. flying scenes, big action moments, straight up god tier. some of the best we’ve ever seen in the whole series. on top of that, the pacing has gotten better in ep4. unnecessary flashbacks are finally kept to a minimum, and the all for one backstory moments are simple but told effectively. tho honestly, he’s still not that interesting of a villain. just like deku is inherently good, all for one is inherently evil, and that’s basically it. there’s nothing particularly remarkable about these two characters.

that said, some things still almost ruin the experience. the subtitles, specially in ep4, are an absolute nightmare and only crunchyroll and that dumb fuck rahul purini are to blame for this. it’s painfully obvious the platform is cutting corners, relying too much on ai to handle work that real professionals used to do, just to save money while knowing fans will still watch because they dominate the market. and it’s not just about bad subtitles, this kind of careless decision disrespects the art itself and the people who’ve worked so hard to create it. i fucking hate that. It’s frustrating and downright sad to see them stoop this low.

despite some of these flaws, the hype moments make the season so much fun. Those moments, combined with bakugo’s pure chaos energy and the beautifully executed action scenes, make it a thrill ride so far.

It has been a long run, but we are at the end of the show, one final season, one chance and an unknown future to come. Will All Might and Deku win over true evil, or will their world crumble to dust, it is all decided now.

In this final season of My Hero Academia we are seeing the end of the story, with the final battles being fought and us seeing what happens to the victors and the losers. This is done with a fast start into All Might’s fight against All For One, then transitioning into what follows and afterwards on to the end ... of this long lasting trial. All made with a great animation quality, amazing pacing and some incredible moments.

The plot of this season is really something, for this is the final climax and the final resolution, the season has to tie a knot on everything left behind, while making it feel like the characters are left where they should be. The plot of the season first has to finish the two last fights against All For One and Shigaraki respectively, which it does flawlessly. It knows how to push you to the edge of your seat, before knocking you back and keeping you invested all the way through, especially since it keeps a pacing that feels natural, since there are no cut corners or too long moments. While keeping the fights themselves entertaining, do they also know how to make the viewer invested, by successfully using the characters and the world they have built up through so many seasons. This together gives some ending fights that are truly amazing and fitting for the final climax of the show.
Next the plot dives into the epilogue where we get to see how the characters are left off. This is not done with short descriptions but is done with the right amount of detail, showing how the events of the show have affected the characters right after and in the far future. It is done fairly detailed for the time shortly after the end, and with more open descriptions for the future ahead, leaving it more open for the viewer's imagination. Which is fitting, giving both a concrete and an open ending to the many characters and plots.
Together the plot is amazing and really showed how to finish off a long show, with many characters having influenced it and developed it.

The characters are being finished and polished, we see the end of their story and with it, the end of their individual character progression. So for the season we see the ending of the last characters arcs, and then we see what future awaits for all the characters we got to meet throughout the show. It is done beautifully, first seeing the end for the last couple of characters being done with care and details, giving them a fitting end. Followed by seeing all their futures, which matched the characters, but was not always expected, giving a satisfying ending not just to the characters but to the world of My Hero Academia.

Production qualitywise is this season absolutely amazing, with it making the ending of this show shine even brighter. Animation is beautiful, detailed and incredible at showing these high intense action moments, with nothing left wanted. It is done with keeping the same style we are used to through all the other seasons, just done with the quality matching a true ending. Other than just keeping animation incredible, the voice acting and music are done incredibly well, with immense passion and attention to the moments, supporting them and really striking home. The production quality is a platform that really matches what the plot and the characters come with, making the end next level.

To conclude it all. This is a beautiful ending to a show with its ups and downs, it truly ends all the stories and leaves our heroes and villains in a position fitting them. I can only recommend watching this final season, to see the end of this long story.

I discovered My Hero Academia years ago, when I was so much younger. At the time I was still in school, I was thirteen I guess, I don't remember well. I was often lonely at lunch and was passing the hours I have at the library in my school, when I was checking the manga area I always saw this yellow book with a muscular man looking like an American hero, and a young boy. And at that age I was already judging the cover book and the drawing, I was already passionate regarding of what I am doing now (background artist/2D rigger, 2D animator/director). ... At this time I though why so yellow ? I didn't like the cover haha. I didn't understand (I think I still don't but I accept it).
Anyway, I took it and read it at the library and finaly, borrow it, since I didn't finished to read it. And when I was home a Wednesday, sitting in the couch, finishing this manga. I reach the end of the first volume, and saw "Boku no hero academia". Didn't understand why it was called like that, why not just "My hero academia". Curious and intrigued, I write on google "Boku no Hero Academia", and that's when I fall on youtube videos showing what I juste read, like a cartoon that could run at tv but better. I was shocked, so I watch the first episode on Youtube, I watched it many times, I wanted more. I searched it and found it, all the next episode, 2 seasons. That's how I discovered My Hero Academia, but even more that's how I discovered the worlds of anime.
So My Hero Academia since the starts and till the end have and will always have a special place in my heart. I will always be grateful to Kohei Horikoshi regarding his manga, and to Bones studio which always has made a great jobs regarding the animation of this manga. Thanks a lot. I'm a bit sad (crying while wrinting these words) to finaly reach the end of this story... But I really adore it since the starts and the part of a good story is to have an end.

End of an era.

"Boku no Hero Academia: Final Season" is the last season of the anime, minus one epilogue ova that was announced after the season finale aired. My Hero Academia went from the start of another great shounen, to the end of another great shounen, and managed to stick the landing, mostly.

My Hero Academia's main lesson was just one single message that Horikoshi (the author) kept consistently beating readers & watchers over the head with: Reach a hand out. Doesn't matter the circumstance, doesn't matter who it is, just always help. It's a noble, naive, yet simple lesson with good intentions. Although like many ... other stories out there, this lesson/trope is often taken to some extremes.

The story is very straightforward, a superhero academy for hero trainees who wish to become great heroes that are mentored by veteran heroes that have to deal with various villains with varying levels of circumstances: from neglected children, to manipulated children, to bullied children, to children who are born with conditions, to villains who are misunderstood, to villains trying to make it in the world via crime, etc. Which all culminates with dealing with the ultimate big bad bent on bringing the world to its knees. It's a very standard superhero story. I am also oversimplifying the story of MHA by a wide margin.

Like with all standard stories all that matters is the presentation, the emotional investment, how much you care about the characters, how much you relate to their circumstances, the struggles and conflicts, and whether or not you're entertained enough to keep coming back for more. And, boy, were we all entertained alright.

One minor criticism is the timeframe. The significant majority of MHA takes place in a little over a year. A LOT has happened and is typical of many shounens (stories in general too) in such short span of time. Some say there should've been a few minor timeskips here or there to keep the growth more believable but I think it's just a minor nitpick.

What's great about the anime (and manga) coming to an end is seeing the difference in experience in the art and animation from the start of the show to the end. The studio, bones film, really out-did themselves. Remarkable movie quality episodes that consistently rivals ufotable on a good day. Horikoshi's art was always extremely good but his art and shading truly shined at the end with great character designs (both pre-ending and epilogue) and fantastic scenery/environment two-page spreads.

Music is fantastic of course. MHA OSTs have never been a negative, so many amazing themes for each major moment. Never could go wrong with an orchestral arrangement of various MHA themes either and we got a ton of them this season.

So regarding the reception to the ending... MHA's manga ending was a combination of various fan opinions, poorly timed fast food collabs, a lukewarm ending, and apparently some maliciously rushed mistranslations(?). Despite some more passionate fans who are trying to push a sort of "revisionist history" of how the manga ending was perceived after the anime finale as if the manga ending was always "good", I personally simply thought the original ending was a weak way to end a series on. At least until the bonus volume chapter came out which expanded the epilogue a little further which upgraded the ending from "lukewarm" to "good" at least in my opinion.

The studio must have heard the criticisms because the anime ending changed the presentation of some scenes of the manga ending just enough to be a lot more "positive" (I don't know the right term to use here) than what the manga's first impression was. Which many watchers thought was "good" when they finally saw the ending. Obviously it was gonna be hard to follow up with an epilogue after such an action-packed final battle and some fans will continue to argue it out till the end of time but I'm quite sure the general audience will agree that MHA ended on a good note and so do I.

I grew up along with this anime.First watched an episode of it on TV when the first season aired around 2016. Then later on, I went on to watch it season after season.
Today, after about 9 years or so I watched the last episode of Mha.
Feels so bittersweet.I grew up along with these characters. I watched them grow and see them achieve what they did alongside them.This anime will truly be one of the greatest anime I've ever watched.This story told me to never give up, told me that even you could become a hero even if you have nothing to start with.
Izuku ... Midoriya will truly be my favourite Mc till the end of time. He was the guy with the kindest heart, always wanting to lend a helping hand to someone in need. Being quirkless, and facing all kinds of battles didn't stop him from truly becoming The greatest hero. He saved the world including Shigaraki by deciding to sacrifice his quirk One for all which was gifted by his idol All might. But still,he never asked for recognition.
He will always be my greatest hero🥹
I was bawling my eyes out in every episode of the last season especially in Izuku Midoriya : Rising.
Finishing this story feels like saying goodbye to a part of my childhood. I always looked forward to how these characters grew in each season and how they became the world's greatest heroes. Still can't believe this wonderful story spanning almost a decade has come to an end.
It taught me that I too can become a hero.
We must never give up and together we can all withstand every challenge that life throws at us.
I would also like to thank Yuki hayashi for these legendary OSTs like You say run, Might*U, you can become a hero. I've lost count of how times "You say run" has saved me.

Thank you All might, Bakugo, Midoriya and to every other character that made my childhood a lot more memorable.You will always be remembered.

Thank you Kohei Hirokoshi for this absolute gem of a story which inspired a whole generation. It will never be forgotten.

I want to preface with saying the manga series was a personal favorite of mine.

So take my word for it, this is by far the best this anime has ever been. The payoffs to the character arcs that the series has set up for nearly a decade are coming. The first three episodes are some of the strongest because they focus on characters we care the most about at this point in the narrative, the focus on Deku, Bakugo, and All Might make for some of the best parts of this show and to have all of them interconnected like this to finally draw ... an end to the show has makes for an insanely enjoyable experience.

But why I give this a ten, why I think this season’s adaptation is so evocative for this show is because after reading the entire manga this is the first time I think the essence and creativity of the manga has been matched in the anime. With the animation, the colors, the direction this is the only time I had 0 complaints. Nothing I could pick at, especially after what was season 5, I feel like this is possibly the adaptation that we should have received consistently.

Unfortunately that’s not the case. Not to say MHA has had a bad adaptation, it’s been mostly good, but I feel like this season illustrates that it should have been a large step beyond that for years at this point. Thankfully, we are ending on a bang, and there’s nothing better for an anime’s legacy than that.

I never write reviews, but this time I had to. I always thought My Hero Academia was mid, a few solid action scenes, but nothing special. Out of nearly 1500 anime, fewer than 100 ever earned a 9+ from me. Yet this completely shattered my expectations. I went in thinking it was just another cash-grab, but I was totally wrong.

The animation is absolutely top-tier, the character and story progression are genuinely satisfying, and the emotional depth hit harder than ever before. Watching this finale moved me to tears, I never expected something this beautiful.

To anyone who’s followed the series this far: finish what you started. ... The payoff is worth it. Major props to the studio, they nailed it.
