as someone who played the visual novel it was pretty shitty to me how Makoto is 50% manipulative depending on the choices in the visual novel but for the ones who has only seen the anime like anyone Makoto is just more of an asshole in the anime as he deserved to get killed by Sekai as his character Is seen as unrealistically awful and His decisions feel forced by the plot seen as a villain.
