Whoever wrote these lines, the retard-in-chief, forgot that the whole fucking premise of this fucking show relies on lying to the protagonist (KurTard) about everything to the point that they'd rather have a fucking illusion of him to replace him, than tell him the truth about his own talents. All the while everyone abuses this kid constantly for every possible gain they can get out of him, while he works like a peon for free.

So the trope of the "Dumbass hero" seems to be "in" ... right now with the cool kids over in Japan. Either that or someone just wants to feel better about his/her intelligence when they write and identify with the dumbass hero, because I didn't think it was possible to make a worse anime than Moonrise so quickly.

The art is acceptable, the sound/music is garbage, the writing is on a whole new level of "by the committee" with absolutely nothing redeemable.

But more importantly, the characters in this anime are some of the trashiest bunch I've ever seen.

The protagonist himself is the definition of the "ultimate dumbass cuck". MC has no pride in himself, doesn't think he's good at anything because every person around him using him, never tells him the truth about any of his accomplishments throughout the show. He's way too fucking stupid to know how good he is, obviously, so that means he does these amazing things that can change the civilization of this world, without ever realizing what he's accomplishing. I guess the "fucking moron" is now a good character trait in Japanese anime industry for the male leads?

The girls surrounding this guy are just creeps.

This is a kid we're talking about and the girls seem suspiciously older (mentally especially) and obviously they have a crush on the kid (as is tradition). They want to ride his dick and dream about starting a family, especially when an actual fucking kid shows up calling him "papa" (as is tradition) in the most cringe way possible, calling another lying bitch "mama". You've seen this shit in a lot of anime. Little kids being made "ma and pa", which I'm guessing is done to inspire Japanese teens to fuck like rabbits, which doesn't seem to happen for some weird reason (I wonder why).

In one of the shitty episodes, the older girl abusing this kid's trust, wanting to fuck him as well, takes him out on a 'date" where even while dreaming of dating and marrying him, she refuses to tell him the truth about his skills, while dreaming of fucking him. At one point the kid can actually heal someone instantly but the abuser with him refuses to tell him that, more worried about her date being ruined by him helping save a life than him healing someone. It's impressive how fucked up these characters are, says a lot about the writer and director of this shit-show.

Every episode has the same shtick. There's a problem, boy-wonder KurTard comes up with a magically genius plan of solving it, everyone lies to him about his idea's effectiveness and the retard believes them, sulking again thinking he's just a low level pathetic twat. Rinse and repeat for 12 fucking episodes.

This anime is 6.53/10 right now, while being a 1/10 anime, like Moonrise.

Shit script, garbage characters, nothing redeemable. Just rate what these shows really are worth. You'll notice a lot of similar scripts being re-hashed with slight changes. They change the age of protagonists, some older, some younger. Slightly change the world and re-hash the same basic premise over and over again till something sticks enough to sell toys/plushies/panties to the horny men and women watching this shit.

Another garbage. Just like Tatoeba Last dungeon shit anime. The whole show NPC will surprised and MC no idea why they surprised.
They had very good ilustrator very good art but unfortunately very bad story writer.
Dont waste your time to watch this show.
This show feels like it was written by a committee of goldfish with memory loss — plot holes deeper than the Mariana Trench, acting as stiff as week-old bread, and dialogue so cringe it could be used as a torture method in international warfare. The only thing this show successfully murders is my will to keep watching.

I really enjoyed this one. It’s a cute, fun, adventure. Now days I watch anime to escape reality, so light hearted adventures that aren’t too serious or heavy , are always welcome for me. Relaxes the soul.

Definitely has some similarities to things like “Kid from the last dungeon boonies” and “I parry everything” in the sense that the main gimmick is the MC not knowing how strong he actually is. I thought this anime in particular did a good job of covering little plot holes that usually comes with those kinds of anime.

If you’re looking for an easy going , light hearted adventure, ... to escape reality, definitely worth checking out imo

If you need some easy watch, otherwise save your time.
It started as one of the usual "I'm actually amazing but have no idea" with a plot that was looking quite interesting. But it turns out our MC is maybe not just naive but simple too and he isnt the only one here.
For example, lets say you are on secret mission to protect life of a royal family member who is targeted by assassins, so you grab your OP idiot, hire some adventures you just met and go lay some trap. The issue is, the ppl in this show thought it would be great idea to ... just tell all of this info to the adventures the very next day, cause you know...they were curious. So much for secret mission, and those are the smart characters. Meanwhile the OP idiot scrubs defense magic from walls in a house only his party ever entered (cuz he just build it doh) without giving it a moment to ask anyone if they perhaps put it there. All this while he builds a mansion in 3 days, kills dragon golem with just dagger etc.

Unless you plan to turn your brain off and just watch something silly with cute girls (I dont judge you) I suggest you stay away from this show, at least for now ... maybe we get some story later.

Just completed it and it's 100% "meh." I needed something to fill in the gaps to do my "watch two different anime...." every day. That's 14 a week. So this was not in my top 5 or bottom 5. Right in the middle, and that's where it deserved to be. No "I wish there will be a season 2" as one season was enough. Animation was average at best, voice acting was good, but the plot was 100% cookie cutter and a clone of a dozen other "unaware that they are OP" protagonist series. You know the ones - everything the hero of the ... story does is nearly god-like, amazing and awe-insuring, but the hero has no idea and thinks it's normal. But everyone around him is so honest and caring that nobody takes advantage of him. We've seen this how many times now?

Yet he can't see through an illusion he basically created? Is this amazing but seems to have an IQ of 80? Each episode piles on more and more absurdities - past the point of "that's cool" past the point of "come on already" and solidly into "enough is enough already..." It's brain-numbing time killer that fills in the spaces between great anime and "why did I even watch this?" series - although it comes darn close to that.

If you want action - skip it. Amazing fight scenes? Skip it. Slice of live with every adult woman having the hots for a 14 year old kid? It has that. Want to turn off your grey matter for 20 minutes or so? This will do it.

Why in Lord Jesus' holy name would I ever rate this a 10?

This show follows Kurt, a young lad who is immensely talented at everything, but tragically, clinically brain-dead 😢. He comes from a village of powerful god-like geniuses that have been protecting the realm for millennia, but maybe his parents didn't hug Kurt enough or something because his self-esteem is non-existent. For reasons that I don't really remember and that aren't that important, Kurt no longer has his village and must travel the land in search of labor opportunity. But in his quest to be gainfully employed, the world around him is awash ... in sinister mischief... Whatever will he do.

In essence the whole show is one big gag, and the gag goes like this - there is a problem, Kurt trips over his own dick, and then the problem is solved. It is delightfully shitty. The women swoon over him, he doesn't know where babies come from, he hatches a child from an egg that he treats like a daughter, he prostrates himself to anyone he thinks is high-ranking or important, and never, and I mean not even once, recognizing his own talents or power. It is so incredibly stupid, I love it. Usually I would hate a show like this but there's just something about how aggressively stupid Kurt is that makes it work. And plus, the characters are decently cute. So long as you don't take anything seriously, this show is a blast.

And the other added benefit is reading all the hater comments about how nuclear-grade stupid Kurt is. It's like the show lab designed Kurt to specifically piss those people off, and I love that energy. So that's also why I feel compelled to give this show a 10. Thanks for reading.

Yaaaa. More garbage. More garbage just like every other season of Anime. Everything else is fine, except the story, and MC. The writer is yet again incompetent to make a good story, and good MC. I can't bring myself to even watch a single second more.

We have yet another story where the "weak and useless" member is kicked out. Which is so tiring because they all pretty much follow the same route. OG party has collective IQ of a cabbage, kick out the "weak" member, party collapses while they all deny they're weak and blame the "weak" expelled member. Meanwhile the "weak" member is ... actually the strongest person in existence, and constantly looks down on themselves because 5 people were mean to them, joins a new party, and suddenly the "weak" member has a harem of girls!

The MC is EASILY the worst part of this anime. He is the epitome of naivety, and density that rivals a black hole. Why do writers CONTINUE to make their MC so dense and naive? He's seen the leader of the party abuse other people, harass other people, and even treated the MC as a slave, but MC is so damn naive he thinks the leader is a good person. And of course because he is written as naive, he thinks EVERYTHING he does is not good enough, he thinks he keeps messing things up, all the while everyone is gushing about how strong and impressive he is!. EVERYTHING he does he thinks "It's not good enough. I didn't do a good job. I'm worthless.". IT'S INFURIATING!

To sum it up, this is more of the same recycled trash we've seen in the last few seasons of anime. The joke of the MC being OP and surprising NPCs gets old after 2 episodes and the MC having the maturity of a 6 year old becomes infuriating. They're literally gas lighting the MC the whole series. This is like a watered down version of "Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town" in my opinion.

Put it at the lower end of your "I've finished everything I want to watch and need something else to watch" list.

“The Unaware Atelier Meister” is what happens when You turn the absurd up to 11 and not in a clever or entertaining way.

Another day, another “The hero is unaware of his true power” anime. Am I the only one who is tired of this shtick? Don’t get me wrong, the idea itself isn’t total garbage, but I have yet to see it executed on a level higher than below mediocre.
This anime… changes nothing. No story, only plot. Simple plot and overusing bad jokes.

Before we start I would like to explain something. I will be talking about “plot” and “story”. Many people use those terms ... interchangeably. I’m not one of those people, so to make sure everyone is on the same page…
I use the definitions for “plot” and “story” as Lisa Cron describes them:
“What happens in the story is the PLOT, the surface events.”
“STORY is about how the things that happen affect someone in pursuit of a difficult goal, and how that person changes internally as a result”.

When I found out that this anime has a OP MC with some sort of drawback I was intrigued. Could it be that the writer is competent and understands the need for balance? That I will see a protagonist that actually has depth and actual struggles? Spoiler alert! No. The writer has no idea of, or sense, of balance and everything around him is flat and meaningless.

The worst part of this show is the MC himself. He is useless in combat but is practically a god with everything else. Because of that the writer creates situations where he is the great saviour without using combat. Even when it’s utterly moronic, like with the demon attacking the city. I wouldn't even mind it if it was done organically and with any kind of logic. On paper it’s a good idea. To make someone a hero without using violence. I’m all for that. THe problem? The writer is not skilled enough to create such situations. Instead we just get bad jokes that pretend to be the internal logic of the show. The result? Instead of having satisfying resolutions You just get cheap slapstick humor.

The idea of him being an overpowered creator is a good one. The idea of him being unaware of his power is a solid one. The idea that others use his ignorance to achieve their goals and keep him ignorant is also good. But the execution is pretty lazy. Kurt (the MC) isn’t ever put into a situation when the supporting cast must work hard to keep him in check. Everything is resolved with a half assed dialog. And believe me, the dialogs in this show are one of the worst I have ever seen.

To be fair the first 3 episodes were rather enjoyable thanks to the main idea for the plot and the sheer ridiculousness of the MC running amok in the world that is not ready for someone like him. Unfortunately that novelty runs out quickly. By episode 4 I had just enough of it and wanted something new to be added to the pot. What did they add? Short answer: Nothing. Long answer: some new characters that are pointless, do nothing, contribute nothing to the plot and change nothing in any way shape or form. Except, maybe two situations, the supporting cast is utterly useless and most things would end up happening in the same way even if they were not present.

And that’s another serious problem with the plot. The characters around Kurt are skilled combatants. They should have a lot to do looking at the situations they all get into. But why have some competent, well written supporting cast when the writer can just create an idiotic situation, over-interpret what combat actually is and have the MC save the day, even if that means using a dagger to basically kill a goddamn dragon. I mean… we can’t have that. Someone would think that this show is actually good and we can’t have that.

If this show would be positioned as just a dumb comedy I would be ok with most of the things I bitch about. But it’s not. It’s positioned as a fantasy adventure. Despite that it has no stakes and no sense of progression. On top of that the MC is passive. He barely acts, only reacts to the situations that he ends up in. He doesn’t do things because he has a drive for them. He does them because someone told him to do it. The only moment when he is proactive is at the very ending of the season. Why?
Give him any kind of goal. Even a simple one. I don’t know, he likes to make things to make his dream to become the actual atelier officially and not a damn atelier in the shadows. Or have him search for a place he could call his own, on his own terms. Anything that could drive him and not be the result of someone telling him what to do.

This show is honestly exhausting. After the first 4 episodes I was really contemplating to drop it, but autism and OCD did their thing and I watched the whole shitshow. There is barely anything new in the plot, the story doesn’t show up at all in all 12 episodes and there are probably only 3 jokes that get repeated over, and over, and over, and OVER!

This is boredom and brain rot in anime form.

Unfortunately this is just another trash anime that falls into several cliche categories:
1. Hero is overpowered
2. Hero is an idiot
3. Nobody explains anything to the hero
4. Hero gathers harem
5. Fanservice

This anime falls into all 6 of these sins, just like "Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town".
The characters are bland and boring.

... The only good thing is the animation.

Am ashamed of myself for critiquing shows for being repetitive, and yet they reiterate the same story so often my reviews are getting repetitive as well. Not to mention running out of silly comparisons and insider jokes. I guess this is some next level meta stuff.

But yes, yet another show where main character is god-like capable and yet he doesn't know it and keeps acting as if it's nothing special. Which as I said in my other reviews, tee-hee, might work for a while but at some point unless main character is a rabbit, they have no other choice but to realize that constant surprises ... from others mean he's full of it, as a simple result of ability to retain memories. Remaining characters are not worth mentioning, they are there to act surprised at literally everything MC does.

Other than one dimensional character (not plural, others don't matter), the remaining aspects are fine. Art is pretty to look at and competent but average. Sound design as well. Story doesn't exist and it's there as a vehicle for main character to bring out some more "oooh" and "aaah" from the rest of the bunch. You couldn't spoil this show even if you tried because it's so generic it sound like thousands of other shows.

The problem, and the reason for "not recommended", lies in the fact I've watched third of the episodes and there's no hint of anything happening or any story developing. Literally every episode so far was MC doing something and everyone else being surprised. So this show is beyond redemption in my eyes since they don't have enough time to properly develop anything now. Am not even going to bother mentioning a list of other shows this one feels like for comparison. Simply not worth the watch and not worth the effort.

I honestly don’t even know what I watched. I can’t remember anything from the story—just the feeling of my IQ steadily dropping the longer I kept watching.

I’d rather rewatch Isekai wa Smartphone to Tomo ni. than sit through this again.

I don’t know who thought the “clueless, low-IQ protagonist who doesn’t understand their own strengths” trope was a good idea, but this takes it way too far.

I guess the writers don’t know how to craft real comedy anymore, so we’re stuck with bland, tasteless shows like this. I’d rather rewatch an anime I rated 5/10 than waste more time on this.

To be fair, the animation is ... solid, and the voice actors were well chosen. But all that talent is wasted on such terrible writing. It’s a shame.

So you can't go into this show expecting anything great from it. It's not offensively bad, but neither is it very good. This show is one where you're just kinda along for the ride.

The story has a lot of childish story beats, so I assume the target audience for this anime was somewhere around ages 8-12.

Things I liked:
- The show has some wacky moments that make you do the nose exhale. The show's comedy revolves around tropey romance jokes that have been told a thousand times, but a lot of the time you get to see it's ... main drawing point which is how OP the main character, Kurt is. It's kinda funny considering he's completely oblivious the whole time to his strength.
- Even though the show's animation didn't get a big budget I don't think I saw CGI throughout the whole show, which is rare for these lower budget animes these days. I found the break from it a nice change of pace.

Things I disliked:
- Like I said, this show seemed to be geared towards young audience members, but in a lot of aspects, it seemed like the show leaned too much into the kiddy stuff sometimes. I always appreciate a show that's meant for kids, but is entertaining for adults as well. Not to mention, the age of kids this is meant for should have better comprehension skills than what the directors are putting out and I feel like even as a young kid, my intelligence would have been insulted at times. Things like overly hammering home a joke or plot point seemed all to common throughout the season, so if they ever make a second one (which I doubt it gets) I would like to see it reigned in a little bit more with the overt dialogue and leave some things to interpretation.
- The mystery behind the MC never gets answered, even a little bit. As the season continued, I kept hoping to see some backstory for Kurt and his village, but we never get it. I understand that the over-arching plot takes a back seat here, as I'm sure that's what the director intended, but it still would have been nice to see that plot point explored just a bit in this first season.
- There's a character in the show who shows up twice as an antagonist and he just bothers the crap out of me. Mostly his laugh. He's supposed to be evil because he's evil as the trope goes, but I can't abide hearing "KuKuKuKuKuKuKuKu" one more time, man.

Overall, I don't think the show is all that great. I wouldn't really recommend it unless you really like trash isekai/fantasy like I do. So if your looking for a straight up recommendation, I'd have to say, don't waste your time on it.

I started this anime on 3rd April 2025, but since episodes were coming out weekly, I paused after watching just 2 episodes. Finally, on 30th June 2025, I binge-watched the rest.

This anime falls under the fantasy, adventure, and comedy genre. Honestly, after watching the first episode, it almost felt like it was going to be about a construction worker or something related to masonry 🤣. Our main character, Kurt Rockhans, gets kicked out of his original party because of being completely useless in combat. But soon, he discovers that while he may not be good at fighting, he’s a master at support roles like repairing ... walls, digging mines, and carrying golems — and not just that, he’s ranked SSS in those areas!

I won’t spoil much, but even with a relatively simple and decent story, it turned out to be a fun watch. The anime includes light politics and some satisfying world-building. As season one ends, it leaves behind a small hook that makes me curious about the next season.

Overall, it’s definitely a one-time watch anime, and if season two comes, I’ll be interested.

Dang, episode 6 really felt like a step down, didn't it? The lack of lip movement was immediately noticeable – seeing characters talk with completely static mouths is incredibly jarring. It wasn't even like a bad attempt at sync, it felt like a conscious decision to not animate it at all. Combined with the characters holding frozen poses, it transformed the viewing experience into something more akin to listening to a radio drama while flipping through a related art book. The 'animation' of simply shifting the camera across a static drawing felt lazy and highlighted just how little actual moving was happening on screen. It ... pulled you right out of the story.

Anime Review: Dropped It the Moment a Loli Hatched from an Egg!

Yeah… so I gave this show a shot, but it wasn’t great. The MC’s powers are all over the place—no consistency, no clear rules, just random stuff happening whenever the plot needs it. And the protagonist? Dense doesn’t even begin to cover it. Like, sure, dumb MCs can work, but this guy takes it to another level. He jumps to the weirdest conclusions, ignores obvious clues, and stays clueless just to drag out the "mystery" of his abilities.

The story’s packed with plot holes, the power system is a mess, and the "harem" ... (if you can even call it that) is weak. No real chemistry, no fun dynamics—just bland interactions. The animations are… okay, I guess? Nothing special. Art style is super generic, and the story plays out exactly how you’d expect—zero surprises.

Worst part? No character development. Everyone stays the same from start to… well, wherever I dropped it. Even as a time-pass show, it’s not worth it. Wouldn’t recommend unless you really have nothing else to watch—and even then, maybe just rewatch something better instead.

This anime takes "obliviousness" to a new level, and essentially glorifies the "good" main characters knowingly abusing a mentally handicapped child for their own gain. The show has no real redeeming qualities which would make up for the ridiculous premise and horrible main characters. The art is fine, the voices are fine, the story suffers from the idiotic premise such that it's painful to watch and mostly will just make you angry because it's stupid to the point that it breaks even anime levels of immersion. Don't watch this. It's not good and it frankly doesn't deserve your views. This ... is what happens when creators see a popular trope, but the trope has been so overdone that in order to be even moderately different from what has come before they have to completely abandon any connection to a believable or enjoyable plot.

This one was a surprise. All the ingredients of this stew were taken from the bottom of the barrel... and yet!

Ingredients:-

1 Gary Stu. Must be SSS rank in everything except one thing.
1 cup of getting kicked out of the party for being worthless (bad at that one thing).
2-3 tablespoons of main waifus. Must fall for Gary Stu on sight.
3-6 teaspoons of side waifus. Must cover waifu checklist left over from the main cast.
1 Mascot character, can be either a cute animal or Anya clone (little girl about nursey age)

... Add-ons:-

12 episodes worth of good looking food.
1 lolita that is at least 1200 years old and officially an adult.
1 Secret ingredient.

Recipe:-

Step 1. Gary Stu is kicked out of the party for being "worthless". Steer the pot with shots of them looking down on him.

Step 2. Gary Stu is shown to be SSS rank and the only reason the party was so good. Must be done in episode one directly after steering the pot.

Step 3. Introduce the main waifu. Side waifus added in as preference. Main waifu knits his talents outs for the world to appreciate.

Step 4. Start adding in the rest of the harem. Each must add something unique to the stew with the aim of elevating Gary Stu's social standing.

Step 5. Add the secret ingredient. This is what takes this from trash to a lovely meal.


For this recipe the secret ingredient is... everyone in the show was in on it.

The show knew the MC was a Gary Stu and decided to have fun with it instead of the usual wish fulfilment, he is not meant to be a self insert but an anomaly. Because of that the show WAS fun and characters likeable. It took trash and oddly enough made something decent out of it. I recommend it for a light watch and for that it gets an extra point from me.

So the MC gets kicked out of his party for being useless… and honestly, he kinda is. The story tries to play it for sympathy, but he was basically their baggage, doing chores and little else. Sure, he “helps” in small ways, but let’s not pretend he was all that useful.

Animation’s solid, and the art looks great at times. But the MC is completely generic; dense, overly nice, and proud of being average. It’s the usual “underdog discovers potential” trope, watered down with him constantly downplaying himself. Even his big moments get nerfed by his “I don’t want to stand out” attitude.

What kicks me in ... the nuts is, literally every single waifu he gets after being kicked out is a MASSIVE downgrade, back to generic waifus with no flavor. Just smiley, round eyed, flustered and exist to praise him for being basic. It’s like lots of writers for this particular genre give up trying to make interesting characters, like Maou-sama Retry season 2 butchered the milf's design.

Pause at the very end of the intro and it’s already obvious, you’ve got the most generic lineup ever, all just there to make the MC look good for doing the bare minimum. Personally, the fact that the women with the best looks ALL literally end up in the background EVERY SINGLE TIME is starting to get to me, so I was biased against this one from the jump.

Honestly, this is a cute, easy watch. It doesn’t do anything new or remarkable, but it doesn’t need to. It feels like a “recovery” show at times, but with a fantasy vibe, and enough adventure that it can appeal. You get to like the characters, and enjoy the shenanigans and trouble they get into. It’s nothing special, but not every show needs to be. Its animation can be pretty lame at times, but it’s fantastic as something to have in the background

The story feels a lot like Last Dungeon Boonies, just with a support character instead of combat. The jokes are a bit repetitive, but ... seeing the various ways in which Kurt underestimates his own abilities is charming, though May grate on some viewers. I likely will never watch it after I finish it, but I do t necessarily feel like I’ve wasted my time watching it.
