As a series I like the concept of the plot and characters, but I can't help but finding the overall writing and pacing to be desired. It feels like there was a first arc which was supposed to introduce the world and characters but got scrapped at the last minute. Storylines feel rushed and like they are missing the set up necessary for a story to function. The art itself is fairly standard for a modern shonen but nothing to particularly write home about.
Overall it's not bad, but the ghost of what could have been haunts this manga.I can see the outline of something

The characters were good, the art was bland but fine and the pacing was decently done. I was enjoying the storyline for a good while, especially when it played with the easy drama. Unfortunately the author decided to just not finish the main story arc by taking steps towards a resolution, and then... Using a time skip to bypass writing it. What's the point of a big confrontation if you're not even gonna fucking write it? Especially since post timeskip it quickly revealed that instead of doing the confrontation the male lead just wimped out last second and didn't even bother to tell anyone about

I followed this series for awhile and enjoyed it until chapter 113, where instead of going to an ending at a natural conclusion point it chose to not decide on a love interest instead throwing on a new multi timeline gimmick.
Overall Storyline 7/10 Art 6/10 (its bland but not bad) Characters 8/10 Refusal to end 2/10 Bc Mal has decided I didn't say enough: I overall liked the main character, especially when she had motivations that were less generic towards the middle. Towards the end it it seemed like a lot of her less positive traits were sanded down for a more traditional ML which I disliked. |
