If you're into strong fl lead , complex villian go for it . Khalid our villian is a complex character when you get his backstory .
The story is really good some part felt boring personally but later chapters get even more interesting.
The only downside I can think of is the spin offs the spin off don't have a clear timeline mentioned and feel rather fast paced and the spin off is a lot of Florence then Luci I like the time Florence Is given but I hoped the spin off would focus more on luci it's not bad but certainly feels a rather fast

and rushed . Even after tht the timeline seems a little confusing in spin off .
The story is really good some people may think Luci is useless which politically in the time period she is women weren't given power the story really does a good job at showcasing how women aren't given power to even make most basic decisions ( based on historical timeline even today many households globally are restrictive and take decisions for their daughters ) .
Luci tries very well in the story tp not rely on male lead and take actions herself for her a former knight Estelle in luci body she manages and struggles to learn high society rules for women .
The webcomic does a great job of showing parallels between luci ( a girl who has all money and everything but no power to make her own decisions exactly like how society wants women to be ) and Estelle ( free spirited and strong and independent) .
The parallels show how Estelle never focused on world around her only fighting while Luci could never fight due to being a women but only partake in high society politics .
The ending of webcomic is very good ( not spin offs for me but webcomic ending).
Also the romance also good between ml and fl it's not too fast paced or annoying but rather alright for a story set in historical times , however the main focus of story is Luci not romance so( don't go hating around saying so less romance and all bla bla ) .
It's a good story and you can read if you're interested In A lady being knight and how she still is strong even after becoming a lady , revenge , betrayal and finding truth about Estelle death . And little sweet romance and an understanding ml who went from being her enemy to lover .
Won't recommend reading on webtoon unless you're rich or can spend tons of money on webtoon.
Webtoon had the whole story for free before but after its end they added daily pass on each and every episode however unlike other series daily pass the webtoon daily pass is 3 coins per chapter and even their play to get coins system is bad most games aren't available or have weird rules like
( pass 100 levels for 1 coin ) .
Webtoon is very greedy not a free reader friendly app .
If you want to still support author without webtoon you can try to buy the physical copies available the art is absolutely gorgeous and the webtoon is almost good for any age teen above .

Think of this as kinda critical review but a good one , I personally love this 10/10 amd seeing the reviews is kinda disappointing since I knew this would be a complaint people would rate it bad for . So people are complaining about the starting vs later eps but honestly I feel like people didn't watch after Nice and Ling ling eps because the show is really good and I think while this anime got popular it's not for everyone since it just doesn't focus on one part but tbh I love it just cause how the story each story is written.
To be hero

X starts with nice who suicides so you have ling ling pretending to be nice but later he becomes a hero himself and he pushes this narrative that anyone can be a hero
And hence I love the donghua* so much because as the story says the donghua also doesn't only focus on Ling ling story it focuses on other heros as well as in everyone or anyone can be a hero .
How they portrayed different stories:
With the new story starting after Nice's I wasn't expecting it to be much interesting I was thinking it'd be timepass but NO IT WAS SO GOOD
Each story seems like its the MC story the charachters are not some random bg character who are Ling ling 's or Nice's friends it's normal people who had a life and became friends.
And each story has a cliffhanger kinda which keeps you hooked while also kinda giving a idea of what is happening.
Like you've moon dying so you know she died but you also know it's e soul who killed her so what happened like we are not on a complete illegal cliffhanger we know what happened but not fully and that makes the change of story not so bad .
Nice or Ling ling story was in itself good and it seemed like he was mc but with each story every hero seems like mc and its actually nice like who's the mc whos the hero maybe it's all of them .
Each story feels special and interesting like once e soul story started I was focused on that only and after that on Lucky Cyan's then Queen:s then Red hair lily/loli .
I loved each story Lucky Cyan's my fav because she reminds me of Miku LoL but also just how detailed and nice her story was we got to know a lot about hero world and got to know new charchters also while it seemed all stories won't match After Lucky Cyan's story we understood the timeline a little and also saw the relation in story like how Cyan and Queen became friends why queen helped her and the only story we got the most of with a somewhat better end / cliffhanger.
Really don't have much to say about Loli /lily story except that's it's nice to see how we also see someone with somewhat a normal family story wish to become a hero .
With Queen's story we got the concept of X and got the mysterious X winner . Queen's story was also pretty good the best part personally was that how Queen helped Cyan despite the show tv saying that Cyan 's luck comes with bad luck like Queen still helped Cyan instead of blindly hating her .
Timeline it's seems the story is going in descending order for the hero like esoul killed moon so we know E soul story is before Nice , E soul was listening to lucky cyan so he's story is after lucky cyan, Lucky cyan is before e Soul and before Cyan is queeen since we saw little Cyan see queen and Queen helping Cyan so queen was already a hero atp . For Lily/loli can't say but it's probably similar timeline or before since we say little lily watch Queen's graduation/ hero speech from the opening song and amount of eps it'd be reasonable to say we will have atleast 2-3 more stories before back to all mystery solving and Nice's story or maybe they will solve all mystery mid way and then comeback to nice .
Some questions that still remains are like apart from the normal cliffhanger question
Does this world have police since in e soul fake allegation case the hero agency investigated we didn't see any police also in Lily's friend's stalking case the girl called for a hero again no police .
Which does make sense since if Heros with superpower exist normal police won't be needed .
How does super villiams become like do people become like zombie after being angry mad believing propaganda Cyan story had people behaving like zombies so how are villiams created we know hero criteria but not the villains.
Another one if trust value matters the most then how did the X winner is identity less how was he able to top 10 if people didn't knew his name how'd he get so much trust value or does he don't have trust value who is he how is he so strong .
Some obvious question would be is moon alive why did e soul kill her or did e soul kill her ? Why did rock do so much like what he wanted make yang chang a hero ? Then why go to extremes? , what's going on with Zombie scenerio in Cyan story .
The story is 10/10 the animation was made it famous the perfect switch between 2d to 3d but even the story is great would say it's not for everyone especially those people who can't watch a series without the main charachte's story is all eps . Tbh this could have been a flaw but the story does it really well as portraying the other story as main character's . Also seems like this is the only point people hate about the story but so far 13 eps story is a masterpiece I hope they maintain it and answer a few questions in the story .

Overall it's a fine story but not really worth reading unless it's for timepass .
The concept was not bad and the plot but the plot holes are so many and only attention gaining part is the smut every few panels and the pretty art .
The ending is very nonsense and rushed I don't if it's just translation error but the empress baby was first a girl but it then turns out to be a boy and the baby was a very side charchter ignored they got name and gender wrong each chapter timeline didn't make sense and they even added the parent get jealous

of the child and tbh that's just a very infuriating and sad thing to add in story they added child in story but it was like some bg character they would bring up 1 panel as of they remembered it once in a while , also the child somehow the person he falls in love with after growing up was shown as a boy before but later turns out to be a girl so the gender changing is not really making sense maybe it's translation error and they wanted to add their love story they did a little bit it was rushed and not properly done .
There's a lot of angst and smut and those are in many episodes, little bit is fine but not each chapter also each time a important topic comes up romace scenes come up next tbh wouldn't have read the story if it didn't have such beautiful art and really wanted the fl take revenge .
They added side stories but they were basically part of main story so yeah very dragged on and confusing ending even the start was little story and then smut very slow progress in story and more smut then story .

So far 99 episodes are out and I want to give a overall updated review since the story did start very good , however mini spoiler warning. In start Lareiette is neglected by her family had 3 months to live so she left her family found the duke exchange of fake relationship in exchange of healing him of his curse she's the kinda straightforward charachter who is very good at expressing her love .
Though there was this separation kinda arc where fl leaves thinking she's gonna die and the ml is trying to find her that was just annoying and exhausting to read the whole
...
those chapters .
For anyone curious the Duke knows about her terminal illeness about 70 or 80 chapters later so yeah not a fast reveal currently story is good happy happy everything.
The story is not a new kinda concept but the fl having personality is good she has charachter development and happiness development more like . She is very blunt smart , clever the ml on otherhand is cutie pie whos misunderstood as scary totally the possessive for fl lead kind .Tbh he doesn't have much personality except true he's nice smart perfect sad backstory but honestly the fl just seems to have a better or more complex personality or more to her charchter .
Now on to parts that I personally don't like :
Theres tiny bit angst at each chap it's like each chapter end in the bed secene at certain point like idk it's just annoying to repeatedly see those scenes each ep also like understandable they get time at the end of they but there doesn't have to be a s** scene at each chpater end even if it's not revealing a lot and shows their love , it's just the chapter could be amazing have many nice things but at end one bed scene and now the whole episode discussion is focused on that .
Other ml / second ml
Doha is your priest loves fl what I liked was it was clear he wasn't the ml good person but also , Doha like charchters in story like these are bad and a very popular concept since In the end they either become evil or alone (I hope that dosent happen here but so far that seems the case ) .
The downfall after S1
See for me S1 was like 9/10 but s2 7/10
S1 had more in story created good cliffhangers the literal season end was a amazing cliffhanger plot twist s2 is more of skipping panels to read since there's either too much romantic dialogue scenes each ep and there was this running away arc and duke suffering wanting to find her . And the story has included romantic scenes from start but since s2 it just seems it's the end point in each ep takes away all attention from other plot and there's literally every other plot ending fast and only romance phase happening so yeah .
Mixed feelings can't really recommend it to others anymore the art is 10/10 and I like the story I understand it's romance but the whole name was I thought my time was up but now that part is cleared I hope they end the story soon since dragging the story will only ruin the story since all major plots are dealt with we got backstory .
And the other part is that the plot is literally not there anymore except romance and sweet chapters are good but if it gets dragged on more than 30 eps they will need to introduce some other plot or twist or ruin the story . S1 had plots like her family his family her illness doha vs duke , the priest , corruption, etc but s2 is literally best as she leave > he finds . Can't find > find again > obstacle > met > love > plot speedrun end in 5 chapters> love again and in between some worth reading chapters .
Overall s2 just kinda don't have much plot and seemed dragged at a point and I hope the story dosent get dragged more and ends soon with a happy ending.
It was a good story not a masterpiece or anything new I think the fl is just written very well and the fl + ml relation was the best part of the story which makes you as reader want to read it .
I recommend if you want more romance and little story but otherwise not really art is pretty but agai some chapters focus on second lead and season 2 really just seems more focused on romance or s** .

Mini spoiler
Saw a few eps so far and recommend it the fl lead Sophia gets the gorilla god's blessing and obviously is not the most happy about it and ends up giving a knight exam and passing .
As story progresses she learns how nice the power is .
The FL is well written why because see it's frustrating to see a weak fl but at same time instead of being just dumb or weakling sophia is a little sensible she Overthinks situations a little and anytime she hesitates it's due to the understanding of other person 's reason behind that action and while

at first it may seems annoying that why is she not using her power Sophia is not misusing her power she understands others pov she is a more realistic fl who is considering situations and is puzzled and unable to take decision due to that but unlike other fls .
Sophia is clear about her feelings she doesn't let petty bullying get to her she trusts others easily but she realises their behaviour . Like when the other girls are angry at her she knows it's due to her being close to the hot guys at the school talking only to her which makes sense that if there's handsome boys and they're friends and talk with only one girl they're bound to be jealous.
Sophia is the one who wants a quiet life obviously she won't live quietly but she over the series Takes action when needed she waits for right opportunity and time she understands others feelings well and has good heart . Sophia is the kind of fl who understands, thinks , and while she appears weak despite power she simply uses her power when needed - like the bomb incident or when she helped the doggy powered boy from his fear of height and saved his life or when she later in an episode saves Eddy .
I love how the Male charachters are written in this story omg in most stories where the fl has more than 1 male friends it turns into a harem competition or jealousy competition each episode which becomes annoying but This anime no no you have male charachters so well written.
The ml is clear from the start is your this guy whose a knight and he does not discriminate or gets petty jealous when other boys are more powerful or near fl . He encourages and compliments the boys on their good work .
• He is not like the strict face egoistic ml who acts tough but rather a knight who takes his duty seriously while also spending time with his friends.
• the confession will also come sooner in story which I love most stories go for the ml or fo being dumb who can't figure out their feelings or talk it out but not this one you've 16yr old being honest to themselves and confessing their feelings .
I love this anime because nothing is overdone at start fl seems annoying but later she adapts with her blessing and becomes strong .
The cheap bully like girl villian also apologise or realise their bad behaviour and that when they went to far a lot of story shows girls not realising that they were going to far which clearly you can tell they knew they were crossing boundaries and I love our fL while forgiving them and accepting their apology doesn't immediately go super friendly with them .
Our fl values her peaceful life plan and maintains her knight and student life separately.
Both fl and Ml are not this toxic jealousy dynamic who get jealous when the other talks to other gender which is so good because guys let's normalise people in relationship having other gender friend y'all behave as if talking= cheating.
The charachters are written so well honestly the anime shows romantic feelings without adding too much jealousy or males fighting with each other drama .
There's little comedy , romance and everything.
“It's sad to see you all see 2 or 3 episodes and declare the fl annoying like yeah omg she's annoying she's not using her power she just got , omg she's annoying she's understanding others reasons behind their actions or omg look the fl is overthinking ", Y'all simply want the fl to be like angry bird kind doing action all the time and hate fls who are understanding, weak etc
Sophia is the fl who may seem annoying but from her pov she doesn't want attention, her power is one embarassing one and unique for a girl like I have Gorilla 🦍 god's blessing who says that , she didn't want to be a knight but her power she uses it when it comes to helping others her power + kindness is what helps her be so amazing she's a precious fl and the ml and other male charachters are so well written theirs not over jealousy or over possesive ml both charachters behave like actual 16yr old and it's so refreshing to see this anime .
In fantasy superpower romance highschool love story this anime is like a breath of fresh air so simple at times but so nice no dirt no bad written charachters .

It was good overall but honestly I don't not understand horimiya being so popular everyone says it's amazing and to watch it but the story is very simple nothing really that stands out except charachter dynamics, miyamura is the sensible in relationship and contrary to whatever says I liked miyamura better than hori , hori is this possessive not possessive gf she is good at study and things but is possessive of her bf asks him to do strange things maybe people like that part like mini spoiler she in an episode sniffs miyamura and she can smell other boys or girls scents tbh that

seemed very strange even comical idk why people like it . To me horimiya is this mix of strange things + bit realistic , I understand people liking S1 but s2 nahi the teacher is this strange guy who likes girl , highschool girls and to me it was just an unnecessary add on done in anime that an adult has to be creepy adult like can teachers never be good in anime or like teachers it's always something like creepy male adult teacher who likes little girls and makes jokes ha ha ha like it's not even funny just ew .
Kyuosuke (hori's dad) : another strange charachter I don't not like , idk but I'm pretty sure both seasons didn't explain much about him being so weird , hum being called by name or being such a weird charachter , I don't understand why people liked him and hori's dynamic so much like except the last episode giving a little past there's nothing nice about him .
Tbh I personally like the side charachters better than the main charachter in horimiya and they do have enough screentime or importance in the story as much as I like story showing other charachters it's just a lot in horimiya to the point I feel like they might better focus on other charachters as they are far more likable .
Kono - being this smart good girl who has a little hard time depressing her feelings
The red head president - being from a family which has too much expectations of him and him secret dating
His gf - pink girl - being this cutesy supportive girl who helps others or wanna be a good friend
Iura - being this talkative funny personality outside and a quiet one at home
I honestly like the side charachters more they're far more realistic and sensible nothing's wrong with it not being realistic but horimiya s2 specially idk why it's soo liked like if someone tells me they only watched S1 or ep 1 and declared it nice it would be understandable but overall horimiya felt so boring at parts and so weird with strange demands from hori of hitting her , sniffing like dog, and the male adults charachter being wierd without any explanation behind hori's dad .
Idk I only watched because even my non interested in romance friends recommended it but to me it's like one of those anime which have some good eps but overall boring episodes with weird mc who somehow is desirable by the audience ( guys don't get me wrong but I'm seriously judging you for asking like a gf like hori irl because she's so weird and normal human girls are not like that pls keep it to fictional crushes ) .
I'm gonna say S1 was better , horimiya is popular but idk find any reasons behind it being so popular like the story nah the story is definitely not the reason it being popular there's better romance animes out there . And side charachters are far better than main Hori especially feels like a good charachter written weird to feel out of ordinary but it only makes her worse .

Will only recommend if you've free time or you're bored the anime is overall fine but not something amazing or bad decent to watch .
The first few ep they do a good job at comedy , Wang ling is overpowered but on ep 9 rn and so far he hardly shows his power much he hides his power there's nothing that just stands out about this anime .
One thing is that the anime is not dirty or sexual so that's a good point you can recommend it to kids or your friends who are uncomfortable with sexist anime costumes .

it's getting a bit better now but all episodes before this are same something happens Wang ling has to use power people get suspicious and in the end his power isn't revealed .
See 9 out of 15 eps and no much fun in the anime except one or two things happening
Anime is good in showing friendship and little bit of daily life but other than that there's not really much i would say watch it if you've free time or your bored the anime definitely doesn't have any dirty scenes so you can watch it friends or family but yeah overall nothing out of ordinary about it the anime is fine itself but overall does not have anything due to which you would wanna recommend it .
The song - opening and ending songs are far more interesting than the anime .
Animation -good
Story 6/10 - not much to the story honestly. A very simple story .

The story had potential but due to the plagiarism it didn't continue i personally liked the story and art but finding out it was plagiarism was a little sad . At this point I'm not even sure if this story is up anywhere but I won't recommend reading it even if it's available because there's just never going to be an update in a story like this . I'm not sure if there's a Novel or anything like that but if it's there than maybe reading that will be far better .
While the time before the story was shut down I liked the art

and story i enjoyed reading it it wasn't too complex just refreshing to read

The art is 10/10 (anyone who complains about it hasn't ever tried drawing in life ) the lines are so well drawn the colours and everything so detailed people forget the comics / manhwas has multiple panels and all of it being drawn and coloured so detailed is amazing.
Though in s2 or 3 the art changed very slightly it's not noticeable.
The art is what got me into the story but even the story is amazing (slight spoilers )
The story has Your 2 charachters on a train the MC is pretending to be someone else and ends up taking ludger cherish identity. He has

throughout the story multiple identities .And all identities have a back story they don't go in to detail in all identities but definitely in others .
World building - 10/10 each character has depth reasons behind their actions you .
Logic and reasoning - ever read a story where they explained the magical concepts this does it and in the start that's honestly very intriguing because it's not just like the , mc is smart so he does it it's more like the mc uses his previous world knowledge of science and maths and combines them with existing magic usage .
Honestly this story is not the kind where you just read 20 eps and everything be revealed asap they introduce tell a little give interest and then you have amazing revealing later .
Fight scenes - 9/10 only because we know the mc will win and also the fight scenes are very great .
Every aspect of the story is very well written you do get reasons and revelations later the story is unexpected in a fantasy world where everything reveals slowly everything makes sense it's predictable but also not at the same time .
Mc - Personally what I really like about him is that unlike other Isekai the mc is not overpowered because of him being just Isekai they have a reason he is born with those powers the because the backstory makes me appreciate the mc having so many powers and why he has it . Or how he has so much extensive knowledge or power or abilities.
You'll also later in the story get his real name and why he keeps low profile and changes identity so often .
The only thing one may not like the
Translation - the translations has minor errors here and there but it makes sense most times though the webtoon comment section has people fixing the typo .
Novel ending or spoilers - the comments have novel spoilers and I hope they change it because the novel ending through spoilers does not sound nice .
Another detail from the comments which would make sense is : the literary refrences all his alias has some meanings or are references of great written stories .
Over-all the story is very good sure it's not the fastest read you know you have to read atleast 50-60 eps for things to make sense . However if you'd like after reading novel spoilers don't want to read it it would make sense otherwise so far the story has no points which make it bad .

Minor spoilers :
This story is the kind with no communication trope , the ml and fl were both manipulated by the ml's grandfather and the communication is very less
Ml - twists communication words so does the fl
Fl - she does have little development where she becomes a bit more expressive
Anytime I read this story i only feel why am I even reading the story feels like revolving around same plot of the fl thinking she will become ill and that ml loves Mia and the ml keeps thinking that the fl wants divorce doesn't want a child and that he's becoming a

burden or smth like that .
Honestly around 50 chapters so far reading this story was in hopes that maybe later there will be communication or charachter development
As stories like this does have little communication later however instead in latest chapters they showed the ml little toxic.
Charachters- the prince and other green haired charachters are great but they're not the mcs it makes sense making the ml toxic in stories where maybe author does not know how to write good ml but this one is just feels like the ml is problematic not communicating and even toxic now .
Can't recommend this story 50+ chapters and it's just annoying you can skip chapters and only 2-3 new things are there .
If they do later can make series better it would make sense but that doesn't seem the case rn .
Villian - the grandfather or mia seems villian but they're more like villian who are just evil people not the best villian but fine for the story .
I wish they change the ml because the ml the way is i hope it's so because he's not the ml Because he definitely would need magical charachter development for the story to work . I just want the fl Iris to have a better ending.
