What a respectable and beautiful profession, one I had never really thought about to this extent before. Growing up in a culture where embalming is prohibited, but where death itself carries its own kind of beauty and meaning, this gave me a completely new perspective on how we look at the dead.
On one hand, embalming restores someone to the way we once knew and loved them, creating a final image we can hold onto and remember them by. On the other hand, from what I’ve always believed, the body is only a vessel, and the state it is in after death no longer truly matters.

I waited years to finally read this because I wanted it to be finished first. I started 2 days ago and immediately got hooked. But I kept reading and reading, and it just got worse and so much worse.
It’s so tragic to witness so much potential and creativity go to absolute waste. I wonder if the author himself knew how they were going to finish it off or if they made it up as they wrote. Lore is, if at all, dropped in the most random moments, with little to no correlation: “Hey btw, you wanna know about this too?”, and in such waves ... |
