If I could give this an 11/10 I would. As I read chapter after chapter of this I only become more infatuated with it. While it takes on more of an episodic approach in its storytelling, by god there is so much to get out of those short story bits. The way this manga tackles incredibly nuanced and difficult topics with ease while also not being curt and in your face about them is like a breathe of fresh air.

It seems like what people don't like about this is the tonal shift? I don't get that all.
To say that the twist was too abrupt seems super short sighted. I think the point is that it is abrupt. We put ourselves in the shoes of Hikari, an innocent girl in love with her childhood friend trying to win him over and comedy ensues. Then suddenly in a single chapter all of that innocence is lost when the twist happens. The point is that she was caught completely off guard by it. I just wanna add a piece of my mind to this page to convince more people to read this. As someone who can't be taken away from isekai slop, this was initially just going to be another guilty pleasure manga for me. However, this is the complete opposite of what I expected it to be. What is a somewhat novel, but ultimately done to death concept for an isekai is actually incredibly beautiful.
