In the end, Black Clover was a manga that I thoroughly enjoyed. It had a few overused tropes and it definitely isn't for everyone, but if you vibe with the initial chapters then it's certainly a reading journey you will not regret.
The pace is quite fast, but it rarely feels like it's actually rushing past important things. We still get character interactions and their development feels natural. We start rooting for the main cast and their growth as the story continues. I do have to complain about how some characters are added to the main cast unnaturally, but most of the time I was enjoying
...
how everything turned out.
The villains do turn out to be a little one note after the elves, so don't expect grand plots and a deep philosophy, but their designs were nice and the fights were very well made, as well as the character interactions during said fights.
My heart says to give it an 8 or a 9, but I think objectively it is a 7. It's good, but it probably won't blow your expectations away.

Dead Account is an anime about exorcists defeating ghosts, something that people are more than used to by now. However, the premise already starts off more interesting than the norm by changing how ghosts manifest into our world and how they are supposed to be defeated. It's a fun and creative anime with a well-written main cast of protagonists, even if the other relevant characters don't receive the same treatment.
The protagonist feels very realistic, has a believable goal and isn't annoying with his mannerisms and drive. He also doesn't immediately start overpowered and has to learn and catch up with all of his seniors along
...
his way to learn how to be an exorcist. All of the powers are interesting as well, not only fitting with the personality of the characters but being relevant online archetypes we're all used to.
That's not to say this anime isn't without its flaws. The animation isn't the best, and not all characters are well written. In fact, most of 1B is very shallow, and the class fight arc was carried by us feeling angry with things they did instead of actually being invested in their characters.
Still, it's a fun shounen anime for those looking for something nice, and it has enough creative ideas to keep someone entertained for a whole season.

This show apparently borrows inspiration from a game, but only for episodes 2 - 5. The first episode is basically filler that doesn't help to set the tone of the story. The episode does not present enough clues for the viewer to solve the mystery on their own, and if you try to watch the anime and are disappointed by its ending, I'd say to drop it right there.
The Case Book of Arne doesn't know if it wants to be a shounen or a mystery anime, sometimes mixing both to confusing effects. The episodes inspired in the original source are the best you'll find, but
...
everything else does not develop the characters and leads to a very unsatisfying conclusion.
Not much to say about the characters themselves, they're all very shallow tropes. The female lead had potential, but since the anime is filler, nothing gets done or addressed in her arc.

This anime had everything for it to be terrible, but it wasn't. That's not to say it was great, either. Roll Over and Die uses a lot of common tropes and subverts them in nice ways, but the story still has many holes at times and the ending especially was very rushed.
The relationship between the two protagonists appears to be the focus of the anime, but they don't have that much development. Whenever they have progress, it feels unnatural. Flum's obsession with Milkit was unwarranted at times, and just happened because the two were supposed to be together as the protagonists.
Flum's power could also have
...
been explored in depth, as it's quite creative, but we don't get much out of it other than its basic powers in the beginning and then an unexplained evolution of it later down the episodes.
It was interesting to get glimpses of the hero's party, but we didn't get enough to get attached to the characters. I wish Flum's relationship with them had been developed better as well.
Despite this, there are many endearing characters in the series, like Sara and Eterna, which should be liked by quite a few people. This series has potential, and a season 2 might be able to bring that potential forward, but as it stands it's an anime that is hard to recommend, and probably won't be enjoyed by everyone that watches it.
Despite its creative subversions and fun moments, the anime suffers from shallow character development, plot holes, a rushed story and expository dialogue.
It can be fun at times, but watch it with all of this in mind.

I really wanted to like this anime, it has some good ideas, but the execution definitely isn't there. The most interesting couple aren't even the protagonists. The animation is not good, the art is alright, there are some interesting ideas here and there, but I can't recommend anyone to sit through 13 episodes of this unless they really vibe with the story, enjoy bad stories with these tropes, or just want to finish the anime they started no matter what - like me.
The protagonist is usually very embarassing, which I guess you can say is a normal trope in these types of things. He's apparently
...
a human that reincarnated as a demon, but that only becomes somewhat relevant twice in the plot, and the word "relevant" is doing a lot of heavy lifting. This is only tagged as an Isekai anime out of a technicality, because if that fact was removed from the story, nothing would really change. Also, his "chuuni" behaviors were really annoying for me, I always wanted to skip the scene whenever he would start acting like that.
The protagonist's friends, the other monster guards, are actually quite endearing, but Happiness is the most well developed in the series. We learn a bit about her past and her trauma, she finds someone that cares for her and their relationship develops along the anime. It's one of the good things this has to offer. Duke is a nice side character but doesn't do much other than help the protagonist when he's necessary and Shiek barely does anything other than be a cute kid and heal people.
Cecilia, the love interest of the protagonist, can be an interesting character at times, but is very boring at others. I honestly thought there would be more development on the way she sees things, her life and her helping the protagonist, but the anime gets quite generic with them after the first few episodes.
The hero's party is also very simple. Raven, Happiness' boyfriend, has an interesting quirk and is the most well developed. Mikana is also an interesting character that seems to have some depth, but she's barely developed during the entire anime. Yuuga, the hero, is a charicature of a character and doesn't do much other than be comic relief.
I am not a fan of the relationship of Gar and Teal. That stuff is always weird and left a bad taste in my mouth whenever mentioned. Teal is a non-developed character, and while Gar has a few nice moments, he doesn't grow much beyond that.
In the end, I wouldn't tell you to not watch this, but be aware what you're getting into.
