this story is white bread: pretty good, will leave you satisfied, but not as interesting as it can be. we follow the protagonist Shinichi as he has to deal with his teasing friend Uzaki Chan as they make their way through university. it can be basically summed up as a "legal" oppai loli teasing the senpai protagonist but is actually in love with him. similar manic pixie dream girls have been done better in other stories.
story: 6/10
the story is very mellow and simple; it is a slow burn of the relationship between the co-protagonists Hana Uzaki and Shinichi Sakurai. it does sidetrack in the later
...
chapters though, giving attention to other characters. these stories are hit and miss, usually revolving around members of the Uzaki family, and their romantic subplots.
character: 7/10
the character roster is pretty large, but most of the good ones are part of the Uzaki family: the dad is a gym bro, the mom is super horny but is projecting it, the sister is a shipper, and the brother is a Shota that likes older women. I'm not a big fan of Shinichi. he is meant to be the strong but actually soft inside archetype. they are trying to make him more interesting in later chapters, but I still think he is bland character meant to stall relationship progression.
overall, they still do a pretty good job with the core cast, even making the male characters fun, with is a rarity for these seasonal waifu Mangas.
except Sasamoto. fuck that loser.
art: 6/10
the art style is fine, balancing slice of life with ecchi and comedy. with the main girl uzaki being the center of attention for fanservice and funny expressions. but the pages feel empty:
-the physical manga pages are larger than average
-the drawings do not go to the edge, which is normal but the gap between the art and the edges of the pages is noticeable.
-the drawing quality is average weekly releases
even though the there is nothing wrong with the art itself, this results in the pages feeling a bit too empty or less detailed than they actually are, like zooming in on a photo when the resolution was not made for that.
enjoyment: 6/10
it's pretty fun at first, seeing Uzaki being a little menace, but over time it starts to get boring, especially when other anime waifus fill similar roles. even then, the story is just not as fun when Uzaki is not on the page, it is too reliant on her, and I don't really care about the other characters to keep me invested. the only side character I do like, Hana's brother Kiri, is not given the time needed for his story to shine. they want to stretch out the story, but they not want to go too off track and make a completely new one.
overall: 6/10
pretty fun to read in your spare time, just don't excerpt groundbreaking story telling or art. it is a middle of the road story, not bad, not good. it feels like the story should end sooner, and make the side plots their own story, rather than stretching it out as long as possible.
if you are into teasing brats then I recommend "Don't toy with me, Miss Nagatoro": it very similar but the dynamic is more intense, with the female protagonists Nagatoro being MERCILESS in her teasing, bordering on bullying, and sometimes just being bullying. this is countered by the male protagonist "Senpai", who is much more unassertive than Shinichi and that makes it all the better when he tries to assert dominance.

fanservice magical girl manga. there is a twist to the fanservice though, it is intentional in-story. we follow villain protagonist Utena as she shows her love to the magical girls she's such a fan of by being their greatest villain, committing BDSM acts on them and anyone who gets in her way
while not technically a CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things) genre story, it follows the same rule of NO BOYS ALLOWED, there are no males in the boys, focusing on cute girl interactions, and yuri fanservice, and a sprinkle of comedy
from what I can tell, Utena is still a self-insert, but as a female
...
character, she is not restrained by the rules followed by male characters: her horniness is quirky, not gross, her assaulting other characters is hotter and less questionable, and as explained in my enjoyment paragraphs down below, she can't metaphorically cuck the audience.
Story: 7\10
the story is a background and the cause for everything happening, besides that... not much else. it's the typical cute mascot is finding cute girls to turn into magical girls, but in the opposite way, so a cute evil mascot is finding cute girls to turn into villains.
the mascots plot is kept intentionally vague and is only brought up to remind the audience that he is not your friend. ither than that, his purpose is to make the villains stronger to unlock more BDSM based power and recruit more girls for fanservice scene
Character: 10\10
This is where the fun begins. as you can tell on the front cover, all villain designs are made to be lewd but just hiding enough that it still keeps you wondering about what's underneath.
the magical girl's designs are made to be cute and innocents, with their super forms being more seductive but still being more elegant and tastefully lewd than what the villains are wearing
The most Loli magical girl ,Korisu, is the only once with no fanservice scenes. being only used for comedy and making faces that look like they should be used for memes. her outfit is also an elegant dress with no signs of fanservice, what a shame. I think the illustrator is being a coward, but what do I know.
Personality wise, all characters follow an archetype with some decent effort put into them. the main character Utena leads the villains, but loves the magical girls, so she takes the middle ground of fighting the magical girls but never beating them. using this opportunity to perform lewd acts on them instead. this allows other characters to shine and show their abilities, while not getting too serious; whether it's Utena's lesbian love interest, kiwi, calling her nemesis, the tomboy yellow magical girl Kaoruko, a flat chested bitch.
or the loli dandere Korisu using her genjutsu-like magical doll house to use as a prison or for roleplay (again, to use for fanservice for other people, not on herself).
Art: 8\10
all attention is focused on the girls, using a lot of close up and full body angles, so you can get a good view of the well-done character designs. the action is descent too, as it's easy to follow, and each character's unique power is easy to separate from the others.
one complaint I do have is that the author can't decide if he wants to give the girls blank barbie doll bodies, or use convenient censorship, and some scenes feel like one would be better than the other.
backgrounds are mostly blank or using speed lines. furniture and buildings exist but are kept at a minimum. this is not a bad thing since the girls are made the focus of each panel, so you won't really notice.
Enjoyment: 9\10
I don't have to think too hard on the plot or the logic of the powers. I just want to enjoy anime girls doing lewd things to each other, and this story delivers. could put a little more effort on the plot though. other magical girls are implied, but the main three are the only ones given screen time.
I enjoy that there are no men in the story, and I can make an educated guess of why it was done this way. there is no male protagonist to take scenes away from the girls and is only going to piss me off anyways. by having no men, and forcing all the characters under the lesbian tag, they can show whatever erotic scene they want, and the girls will still count as undefiled and pure (physically not mentally), because lesbians don't count, it's genius.
Overall: 9\10
if you are one those people that likes gacha waifu collectors, like harem animes but hate the spineless men, or want something that's "I can't believe it's not hentai", then this is for you. It's one of the best ecchi manga I've ever read, if you don't like reading
if you are into these steamy fanservice manga with something at kind of resembling a plot, I recommend:
"The precarious miss black general"; a superhero-based story with less fanservice, but more comedy.
"Interspecies reviewer"; a fantasy story about reviewing brothels that's more episodic.

I read this manga for one reason only: to watch someone go on a genocide run on monsters to evil to sympathize with, so you can enjoy without guilt
story: 7\10
we follow the traumatized man child Goblin Slayer (the broken child soldier kind, not the spoiled brat kind) as he goes on a quest to kill ALL the goblins. seeing his job at the stereotypical adventure's guild as simply a way for him to find more goblins, we follow him as he invents the first war crimes. he will team up with other character who humanize him and teach him there is more in life than
...
being the medieval Doom Slayer.
the action is a bigger priority than the story, which is pretty decent but is written as the trope "the greatest story never told". he is a written as a minor character in a much larger fantasy story that is being controlled by gods as if the world is a DnD game (there is a background character in the story literally named "Hero"). so, the stakes are going to be on the lower end and more personal.
my biggest complaint is mood whiplash. it`s as if the author is afraid of getting too serious to the point of being edgy, that scenes that are too gruesome or dark are either moved on quickly or are downplayed. for example, at one point. the character High Elf Archer is shot with an arrow made to Break off in her, and the story goes into detail of how horrible it was getting it out, then afterwards she moves on like she was hit with a bb gun and not a medieval hollow point. this NOT done with scenes that approach sensitive topic in case you are wondering such as rape and slavery, but it is noticeable otherwise.
characters: 8\10
as you may have guessed, none of the characters have names, they are called by their job title or class, such as: Goblin slayer, Spearman, heavy warrior, and... Cow Girl. a lot of races fit their stereotypes which is not bad at all, but some are exaggerated a bit too much to the point where suspension of disbelief is hard. High Elf Archer is 2000 years old but acts like a 20 year old who just moved out of her rich parent`s house and is just experiencing life. I just have to not think too hard and just brush it off as her being a stupid knife ear.
while there is a huge cast of side characters, there are a few characters clearly given more priority in character development: Priestess, Cow Girl, Guild Girl, and High Elf Archer. and that's okay in this specific story because that is plenty of characters and character progression is slow, if everyone were to be given an Emmy award winning background, nothing would get done.
while Goblin Slayers party is fun and bounce off of him very well, it can be annoying sometimes when they act as his moral compass in a fight, not just in stopping him from doing something that would break the Geneva convention, but as people he needs to protect. I feel that if we saw more solo stories of him, we can see what kind of one-man army he can truly be.
art: 10\10
the main selling point in the manga. fight scenes can be multiple pages of no dialogue and pure action, with art so good you can put it on a poster. characters are designed to match their job and class and rarely overlap with each other. there are token fan service scenes because of course there are. the art uses a lot of shading and dark backgrounds, putting a lot of emphasize on the characters design and giving a lot of depth, making poses look more dynamic.
a small nitpick I have is the way the feet are drawn: the ankles feel a bit large and high, and the arch goes all the way through the foot, so it looks like the characters are curling their feet. this is clearly a design choice as this is most obvious with female characters. this is minor enough that the overall art more than makes up for it. I will leave the feet reviews to the professionals, like Tarantino.
enjoyment: 9\10
I come for the fights; I stay for the plot. the fight scenes in are some of the bests I have seen in manga, with art that really lets you know what kind of monster Goblin slayer is in battle. while the plot is a bit disappointing because it lets you know early on that this is not a Chosen One type of story, I still enjoy these more internal conflicts that the character are meant to win.
I have mixed feeling about the interlude (the text only little bonus pages at the end of the story), they are from different characters perspectives and are not important so you can skip them. some are good and add good character development and world building, but other talk about characters I don't care about such as Hero. I don't care about Hero, she rarely shows up, but she feels like a character from a different story trying to take the spotlight of my favorite character whenever she makes a cameo or shows up in the interlude. either make Goblin Slayer the true hero or keep the stakes low, preventing her or other high-stake characters from showing up and overshadowing Goblin Slayer.
overall: 9\10
not bad for a manga that feels like its meant for edgy teenagers, it is a genuinely good story with amazing art and likeable characters. the only reason I would not recommend it to everyone is because of some nudity and the sheer violence.
while I cannot not recommend books currently that are on par with Goblin slayer, I do recommend one punch man for high quality action scenes, though it is much more lighthearted fun compared.

this is my guilt pleasure, a manga when I want something overly sweet, but I cannot tell a lie, it has some issues. as the story progresses, it develops a plot that sidetracks the story., making it more plot heavy than a simple cute slice of life
story: 6\10
story was never that important, and that's okay. it's just a cute slice of life of the new couple, Nasa and Tsukasa. Nasa, filled with love at first sight, proposed the day they met. the hijinks are all about learning to be couple while already being married. if you're looking for drama or tension you won't find it
...
here. eventually, the plot does change a bit, focusing on Tsukasa's life before the story, making it go in a different direction. while it's not bad on its own, I'm not a fan of it as it takes time out of the slice of life aspect. it makes it feel like the author is trying to make the story more interesting.
I will admit, since volume one, it has been alluded that Tsukasa was not a normal person, and that it will affect the story eventually, I'm just not a fan how much importance is focused on it, and how it created a tone shift for the rest of the story.
characters: 8\10
characters are super memorable and have a wide variety of designs. besides the cool and stoic Tsukasa, and the cheerful and straightforward Nasa, there is a wide variety of side characters with their own personalities, such as Tsukasa's obsessive friend chitose, and the NEET airhead Aya. my only complaint is that characters are slow to develop. while Tsukasa and Nasa do feel like a couple, they still feel like boyfriend and girlfriend instead of husband and wife, being shy about more intimate romance than kissing even in the late volumes.
art: 4\10
the art is cute, but it is really simple. it uses softer shading and mostly simples and round character designs. you could tell that the art can be made really fast and is used for weekly chapter releases. it's not bad at all and does not affect the story, but I must criticize it, nonetheless. the fanservice is very low and mild, focusing more on the cuteness of the characters and their designs, for those that want to know. this results in the art style getting real stale and repetitive, as the pacing is too slow to use more dynamic art, and it feels like character expressions and emotes are repetitive.
enjoyment: 6\10
until volume 15, I would have given the score a 7 or maybe even an 8 out of 10. unfortunately, starting at volume 16, they focus more on the backstory of Tsukasa that can take up to half the volume, and the whole story itself becomes a little more plot heavy, focusing on Tsukasa's backstory. while some may enjoy a deeper story. I got into it for the overly sweet romance and do not care for it that much and would prefer if the plot focused more on them as a couple.
overall: 6\10
while the score may not seem impressive. I do have to congratulate Tonikaku Kawaii. it was the first story romance in a story I've ever read that actually has an official couple before the end (most shonen) or just never happens (assassination classroom). I'm confident that this is the story that caused every other manga and anime to try to have a couple in the first volume or episode, they just do it in a lazier or half-assed way (Kenja no Mago).
I do not have any recommendations currently of this kind of romance story as most focus on the chase. closest that I have personally read and recommend is Love is War, a comedy drama of two highschoolers trying to get the other to confess first. I will update the examples as soon as possible.

this book reads like the author wanted to write a military or a weapons documentary. and damages the rest of the manga as a whole
the book had the potential of being a great and gritty adventure manga, but shoves so much exposition and lore, that it slows down and overshadows the story itself.
story: 8\10
the story is essentially an adventure. with the dungeon in the title referring to the unexplored land as a whole. unlike other fantasies, there is no magic, meaning everyone is using lower end technology and skills. the world itself is also has less modern moral, so debauchery is seen as more acceptable
...
in lore, therefore, sometimes there are ecchi scenes not involving the main character if you are fine with that. though ecchi is putting it mildly, sometimes, it's just censored hentai. some may complain about the treatment of women in the story, but this is a gritty, realistic manga, while also being a power fantasy manga for men, nothing worth focusing on or removing points for
characters: 4\10
characters are definitely written on the more promiscuous side in general. falling in line with a less morally uptight lifestyle. there is not much else to say, I spend more time learning the difference of a bow and a crossbow than learning about any of the characters. the only one given major focus is the main character. he's great. he's not like the typical power fantasy character. he's assertive, takes initiative, and not afraid of snu snu with a woman.
art: 7\10
the art is some of the greatest I've seen, with unique art for fantasy creatures, with really erotic scenes when used. unfortunately, sometimes over a third will be covered in speech bubbles, half the page in the worse cases. I should point out while it does have pretty much censored hentai scenes, its only one or two pages per volume, making me believe that it's just there as eye candy.
enjoyment: 1\10
this is the first manga I ever hated reading for one problem: exposition dumps. they are so long and unnecessary. I understand if they wanted to world build. but it takes up most of the books and feels unnecessarily drawn out. my eyes glaze over, and I have to force myself to read. I don't know if it's because of bad grammar or trying to fit whole paragraphs within speech bubbles, but the exposition gets very confusing and stressful to read. there are very steamy erotic scenes, but they just feel like a carrot on a stick for rewarding you for getting that far in the book
overall: 5\10
I'm actually surprised to give this manga this high of a score. the story score is doing a lot of heavy lifting, which makes sense. the story itself is good but the author either rushed the world building or is just obsessed with the small details. overexplaining what will most likely be irrelevant information, instead of using the pages on the characters themselves. overall, I see this manga currently as a bad power fantasy, and a bad ecchi.
books I can compare it to are "goblin slayer" and "delicious in dungeon". delicious in dungeon has no fanservice but shows world building and exposition done properly while balancing it with adventure moments. goblin slayer has a little fan service, but I read it for its high-quality fight scenes.

remember, I am writing a review of its own genre, it is an ecchi manga and must be treated as so.
this manga is basically an ecchi and fighting manga put together (mostly ecchi) with some mature theme springled in. it's not for everyone, but as I've read the manga, I've noticed them checking out tags like a bucket lists, so sooner or later you may find a theme or chapter you may be uncomfortable with. I guess you could say that it is trying out everything within the ecchi\hentai genre while still being allowed in a bookstore.
story: 6\10
it's simple if a little weird, but
...
it gets the job done, essentially, it is a sexy gyaru martial artist trying to make it to the top idol world. but to do that, she must rely on her greatest assets: her body and her muscles, usually her muscles. the story is pretty unique with how it mixes fighting and ecchi. also involves other "bodily functions" to cross off that bucket list that I mentioned before, which I have to remove points for. if you try to please anyone you, you please no one. even other ecchi story try to stick to a certain number of niches or has lines they will not cross. this story saw those lines and ran through it like it was the finish line of the Olympics, crossing the line on perverted and bordering on depraved. within the first omnibus, which contains volume one and two, it contains the following: bdsm, gyaru, melon crushing with melons (?), attempted rape, bestiality, lesbian, blood, ugly bastard, and more bdsm.
character: 5\6
besides the gyaru, Haebaru, and the hedonist ,Goujima, few of the characters are memorable, and I confuse them with each other when they are not in the spotlight. that said, the character that they do focus on are very well written, or at the very least stick out and are easy to remember. others look very similar and unless you put them side by side or just say what their archetype is, you probably won't tell the difference.
art: 7\10
the art itself is good, but the style makes it feels older than it actually is, using simpler character designs and limited shading. easiest way to tell is to look at the hair, which looks like shiny blobs on black haired characters. while some scenes can be intense, the visual scenes don't go above its maturity rating, and white light is used for censoring. I feel these problems can be avoided if it is used different techniques such as creative censoring and angles, or just sheer increase in quality. it could be the artist personal art style preference, but it can be improved, nonetheless. biggest concern is character design, the male characters have exaggerated designs, so they are easier to tell apart, but the women are simpler designed and harder to tell apart.
enjoyment: 4\10
while I enjoy the fights, the erotic scenes are more important and have some problems. sooner or later there WILL be a scene that you will be bothered with because of how many tags are in it. to me, it was a scat scene. granted it was censored, but it was clear enough what was happening that it was the first time a manga has made me uncomfortable.
overall: 6\10
while it is a fun read, with a very unique plot. I do believe it could restrain itself a bit on certain subjects and could improve on the art style. nonetheless, it does stick out with how uncompromising it is with its perversion and make an interesting read. and occasionally a good fight scene, but again. that's the side dish to the main meal.
while there is no other quite story like it, but if I had to compare, you may like "Monster Wrestling: Interspecies Combat Girls". an erotic monster girl wrestling manga.
