Both manga tackle questions surrounding morality. In Even If You Don't Do It, the focus is on whether cheating can ever be justified and how difficult it can be to simply end a marriage. Back When You Called Us Devils raises the question of whether someone truly unforgivable deserves forgiveness, even if they’ve changed. I think if you like one you will probably like the other.

Both series have this cool as fuck early 2000s style that is super edgy but super cool too. Both are also very violent, gory and action packed. The biggest similarity though has to be in the artistic direction as both like to use a very exaggerated artstyle where all the people and weapons stretch, warp and twist in all kinds of unreal ways, as if everything is made of magic rubber. The way both mangakas draw hair in particular is very characteristic and an instantly recognizable aspect of their character designs. This adds a lot of dynamism and energy to the ubiquitous fights and makes for compelling and entertaining reads!

Not only both share similar premise of a detective duo solving mysteries in a historical era Japan with a female main character, the dynamic of the detective and assistant is similar too. Both has the more laid-back and mysterious male character alongside the more serious female MC. The mystery aspect is also similar in which they are more on the simpler side. The cases are things that can be found in everyday setting, showing more sensitivity and most times with heartwarming conclusions.

So one of these is a psychological thriller/ mystery and one is a supernatural action series - but hear me out! While reading these two series, I often felt a similar vibe/ mood to them. They share the mystery tag. Both deal with a protagonist who wants to find out the truth about a dangerous, obscure situation he gets thrown into. There are similar characters like: - the black-haired, analytical thinking protagonist, who is hunted by other people for various reasons - the best friend, who stays loyal to him - the female police officer, who has her own secrets and motivations We also have many plottwists in both mangas, which are mostly delivered by our intellegent protagonists.

Super no Ura de Yani Suu Futari
Bittersweet, slow, introspective, tranquil and grounded. Whether it be the feeling of waking up at 6AM drinking a cup of tea while watching the sunrise or being sheltered from a torrential rainstorm while having a smoke, there is a near identical strange hazy serenity that was regularly present for me in both of these manga. The more I think about it, Alpha and Yamada are very similar. They're both experienced service woman with a concealed love for the work that they do, they like talking to their customers (or fans) but they also have another more playful side to them as well which they reserve for those they work with or are close to. Another thing with both of these series is just how amazingly grounded they are in their worlds (barring how dense Sasaki is towards Yamada/Tayama). I really felt as though many of the conversations held in these two series are genuine valid concerns and responses that have been held in the real world, and with equally solid and meaningful responses to said concerns. If you're looking for a series to read slowly and laid back while in a bad head space or want to hear some insightful conversations with some soft bittersweet adult-orientated humour then I am sure one of these two series will be a good fit.

This is an open world story like mushoku tensei where you watch the mc grow up. Unlike mushoku tensei, its not an isekai but its the kind of story in which our world is ancient for the story timeline as it has collapsed and now the humans are back to living the old way without medicines and people dying from cold. Our mc kinda remembers his past life and he wants to live like us(proper sanitation, luxuries, schooling etc.) and hence strives forward toward the goal. The source is the light novel but the manga isn't that bad either(I've not read the LN).

Do you think that floating city, The Sphere, looks a bit familiar? Well, that's because of Zalem of course! In terms of setting, Gachiakuta and Gunnm/Alita have a lot in common - a floating city of elites towering over a dystopian wasteland, buried in the endless trash of the other world above them. In both cases, the MCs have the ambition to reach the city in the sky for different reasons. On a purely technical level, they share plenty in common too. Both have very expressive artstyles that strike an awesome balance of having stylized and exaggerated faces and poses but also having a high standard of detail and quality across the characters, weapons, backgrounds, etc. Both have very deep and well written morally grey characters and feature a lot of good elements - amazing action, awesome worldbuilding, superbly cool aesthetics (one is 80s and the other is early 2000s) and a healthy dose of humour and wit. Both are also amazing on so many levels that they definitely deserve a read!

Yajin Tensei
Manga: Karate Baka Isekai
...then you might like
Karate Baka Isekai
This two manga take the same concept in absolutely opposite direction. Karate Baka Isekai elevates karate to a super power, the beauty of the martial art breaks bones and hearts, the perfect purity of his movements can only be compared to the perfect purity of his heart which exists only for karate. The art is dynamic to a fault with brush work as strong as a kick to the back of your head. Slowly the world is won over by our MC and he brings change not only through his heroic actions but the spirit behind them. Yajin Tensei is also about an older dude that only liked karate sent to a fantasy world. But here we consider how lonely your life has to be to reach middle age and only liking the physical training you do on your free time. Karate is ugly and direct, both in combat and in how it's drawn, and being forced to use it as a way to kill is as heavy as anything when you have to constantly kill or be killed but he has to feel in his body every action he does. The world is ugly and dangerous, even in cities there's a constant threat of being stabbed in the back for a few coins and all relationships can, and will, be used as a weakness. And they both started the same year! It's really interesting how opposite both went with the same concept.

Both NHK and ReLIFE have a NEET main character whose life is a mess. The approach to this problem is completely different though. ReLIFE is more of a wholesome slice of life with romance sprinkled in, but with some really serious messed up scenes to remind you that this isn't completely wholesome. NHK on the other hand relies on being surprisingly realistic and brutal sometimes, with some absurd comedy in the middle. NHK is enjoyed more when you've watched the anime first in my opinion, whereas ReLIFE has a superior manga (because it's complete unlike the anime adaptation). Both are must watch if you've been a NEET at any point of your life, currently are, or know someone going through that. They're both different approaches to the same premise, with a focus on personal growth and knowing yourself (just one is more realistic than the other)

Both are episodic in which adventures make you meet new different types of these beings, but Touge Oni more or less quickly drops the episodic format to focus on the story. Fushigi Yuugi
Well-known shoujo manga by Yuu Watase, heavily focused on romance and fantasy. Destiny on a girl's shoulders. War, reincarnation and ancestral gods. Bishounen aplenty. Although Fushigi Yugi has more adventure and comedy, while Ayashi No Ceres is darker and more violent, both may have controversial or disturbing scenes (i.e. sexual assault, incest).

The male leads are similar in that they're both toxic and possessive over the female lead. Both of the male leads have close ties with crime and violence. The female leads are similar in that they're both strong-willed. Both of the female leads grew up with pampered lifestyles, but break that mold by being able to adapt to different changes and experiences.

The Boxer
Both Teppu and The Boxer portray an unusual reversal of tired combat sports manga tropes: instead of following the journey of a talentless underdog who achieves results through hard work, they turn the formula on its head and make what would be the "last boss" character of such a manga its actual PoV protagonist. And they both find interesting ways to humanize such a protagonist such that it makes them even more nuanced and exciting than your typical "I did this a lot and became good" lead. Similarly, both works focus on character studies more so than the sporting aspects, leaving offscreen everything that doesn't advance our understanding of the main cast. Teppu is grounded and realistic (at least as far as the genre goes), focuses more on the nuances of personal motivation, and exposes the other side of the nature/nurture juxtaposition in a way that makes a lasting change in how you see such characters in other works. Its main problem is that the story ends early, only reaching an intermediary, non-conclusive resolution to its principal character arc and utterly abandoning every other plot thread set up in the first half. It looks like the author had to take multiple health-related hiatuses in the final years of writing it and hasn't produced any long-form manga since, so that doesn't bode too well for the prospects of continuation. The Boxer instead takes the route of a high-concept philosophical exploration, eschewing realism on purpose for parable-like "what if" inquiries, and is much darker in tone. But, as if to compensate for Teppu's one weakness, it contains not one but TWO immensely satisfying endings. Both works stand out within their genre, set a high standard in storytelling, and I'm quite sure that if you've enjoyed one of them, you'll also enjoy the other.

Both series share a similar premise. In Genocider, the main character is terrorized by the kidnapping and abuse of his daughter. However, a warning: both contain sensitive content, including abuse and violence. For me, 17-sai focuses more on themes of slavery beyond just abuse. In Genocider, there are additional themes like revenge and a love triangle, and there are multiple characters who experience abuse throughout the series.

Main characters look similar in both thay you may get confused easily. They also have similar attitude, maybe I wouldn't call Rihito in Classmates ''negative'', but he has this gloomy vibe, you now. Both are light boys love stories, short and sweet, which you can read on one evening. They don't contain adult scenes, there is only kissing, so there won't be any cringe lol. Main charcters attend the same school and are a couple at some point, though in Negative-kun to Positive-kun they are couple from the start of the series already and in Classmates we follow their fall in love story, but everything happens so quickly there, so don't worry, you'll get immersed in both stories easily.
