Synopsis

Ichirou Kuga has a lot on his hands beyond his pen. Ever since his father's recent passing, he has been the sole provider for his younger siblings Machi and Fumio, as well as taking on the duties of being a landlord. All of this is on top of managing his shoujo manga career, for which he just barely received recent success in spite of constant deadlines and a lack of assistants. But Ichirou is still determined to pull through for the sake of his siblings' future, until one day his editor gives him a call with some promising news.

Racing outside to find his new assistant, Ichirou meets 19-year-old Shiori Goshiki, who soon reveals herself to be a beautiful young woman with talent through some quick inking. With this being her very first job in the industry and having gotten into manga only recently, Shiori seems out of this world—in more ways than one as Ichirou learns after a mid-work nap when he dazedly assumes a pointy pen is sticking out of her body and reaches out to save her. But when she wakes up and immediately tells him that touching her stinger essentially renders them betrothed, Ichirou doesn't know what to think!

I really don't want this manga to be forgotten. I came to it after watching the anime, and I truly hope they animate the second season as well to give it the closure it deserves.

I found it to be very beautiful and comforting. Without a doubt, the artwork, characters, story, and development are brilliant. Special mention goes to Machi, who, despite being a very young character, is sometimes more mature than the protagonists. It has a few inconsistencies in general, but they don't bother you at all.

Preliminary (5/37 eps)
Since there aren't any reviews for this manga, I thought I'd write a short one.

Story 8/10
I'm only at chapter 5, so I can't comment much about the story, but so far there hasn't been much drama (which is good) and the fmc has a special circumstance (no spoilers but you learn about it in the first chapter) which makes the story slightly more unique.

Art 10/10
The art is great, it really fits the tone of the manga. I especially like the cover art for vol 1 where there are stars in the fmc eyes.
