Synopsis

In the near future, Japan has completely collapsed due to a mix of nuclear warfare, natural disasters, and widespread corruption that sparked a revolution.

The country is now split into three warring superpowers. This new era of the Three Kingdoms Period sees diplomacy vanish, replaced by a harsh, relentless fight for power. Each territory is using its military strength and resources against the others in a desperate attempt for total control over the remnants of Japanese land.

Aoteru Misumi is a low-ranking official who has stayed in the background for most of his life. He does not come from a prestigious military background or aristocracy, but Misumi has a strong ambition: to end the pointless bloodshed that afflicts the nation. He seeks to unify the fractured country, armed only with sharp insight and a persuasive voice that can rally the people.

The legend of the man who will become a brilliant military strategist starts now.

Preliminary (3/? eps)
In my opinion, it's truly amazing. It has a unique, yet very refined and well-crafted graphic style; it's fantastic. But above all, it has an incredible plot; as soon as you read it, you think, "WOW!" It's exactly what new anime need. Along with others, they're bringing a breath of fresh air: originality and quality. I really hope it doesn't lose its way in terms of graphics/animation or story. It's truly worth it!
Finally I think that it is an unpredictable but realistic story, the characters act sensitively and the story continues impeccably and the appropriate graphic style, a particular style for an original story!

Mixed Feelings
Preliminary (3/? eps)
The graphics and animation are eye-catching and beautiful. The stylistic choice sets it apart from other anime. However story-wise, the plot feels contrived at times, especially in the exposition. Certain moments come across as overly-engineered to push the narrative forward which leaves me frustrated at the characters. The MC comes across as a know-it-all. I find myself wanting to roll my eyes at the dramaticism. The pacing is a bit difficult to follow at times. However, if you enjoy this genre or are looking for a mature war story, I would recommend still giving it a watch because it is a beautiful and ...

Preliminary (4/? eps)
The premise had me at first. A divided Japan, three factions, and an MC aiming for unification. It clearly draws inspiration from Three Kingdoms-style storytelling, which usually means strategy, political tension, and clever warfare. That part looked promising.

But everything else just falls apart.
The animation is the biggest offender. It barely qualifies as animation. Most scenes feel like a moving slideshow with minimal motion, which completely kills any sense of immersion or intensity. For a story that should revolve around war and strategy, it feels lifeless.

Character design doesn’t help either. Almost everyone looks the same. The MC is practically indistinguishable from his own wife, and that ...
