Kill Ao

Juuzou Oogami is a legendary hitman who has never failed an assignment, no matter how impossible. One day, after wiping out a powerful organization, he is stung by a mysterious wasp and collapses. When he wakes up, the fearsome 39-year-old assassin has been transformed into a 13-year-old boy!

Before he can even process what happened, his boss delivers a new order: "In that body, infiltrate a middle school." What awaits him is an unexpected school life filled with colorful classmates, youthful chaos, and looming danger. Can Juuzou ever return to his original form? Preliminary (3/12 eps)

Here's my quick review on why it's so good:

• The plot is hilarious: A literal legendary hitman getting turned back into a middle schooler? The setup is pure gold. The comedy hits so hard, I was actually dying laughing the whole time.
• Immaculate vibes & animation: The overall vibe is just chef's kiss. The action scenes are insanely smooth, and the animation is absolutely top-tier.
• Crazy good VFX & SFX: The visual and sound effects are so crisp! Every punch and action shot feels super satisfying and impactful.
• No-skip music: Don't even get me started on the soundtrack. The OP and ED are absolute ... bops, I literally never skipped them once.

Tbh, it’s just a really, really solid series all around. It balances the flashy hitman action and the goofy middle school stuff perfectly without trying too hard. If you need a fun, fast-paced show to binge, I 9/10 recommend watching it rn. Seriously, go add it to your watchlist!

Preliminary (4/12 eps)

I would have never expected to find this anime, came across on youtube and holy, it's so good. The animation, effects are smooth af. The first episode's first few scenes itself got me hooked. But it's the opening song which made me stay.

The opening is a banger, i instantly fell in love with it, I don't know Korean, ni hao? I have no clue but the voice and sound effects in the op is so peak. Binge listening to it for past few days.

This show is a must watch, it gives you vibes of spy x family, but it's unique. You might not like the ... school troupe and the situation the MC is in, but it's worth the try. The school troupe actually is fun in this show.

Listen to the OP, i think it's called Attitude by Aespa.

Story
The concept of an adult hitman trapped in a kid's body isn't a crazy new idea, but it still feels relatively fresh here and has some genuinely good moments. That being said, for a show with a comedy tag, the humor is incredibly low-effort and repetitive. I was honestly confused by how many "jokes" there were about women's equal rights and gender roles. We get a reminder every five minutes that "women can do XYZ too." At some point, you have to ask: why is this a running gag? The MC is a 39-year-old from the modern era, not some time-traveler reincarnated from the 19th ... century. The show spams this exact same "joke" so much that I had to check if I was watching a Netflix production or if the author just couldn't think of any other punchlines. Aside from that weird fixation, the rest of the story is actually fine.

Visuals
Going by the premise, you might expect your typical low-budget "seasonal slop," but the production quality is actually a pleasant surprise. The animation is solid, and there is a good amount of detail and varied scene composition. It isn't a breathtaking masterpiece, but it is surprisingly well-made and definitely above average for this type of show.

Conclusion
Is it worth watching? Because it leans so heavily into being a comedy, we probably aren't going to get any serious or deep plot development. The fact that the show is already reusing the exact same lazy joke ten times in just three episodes makes me worry that the humor has already run dry. However, if you can look past the repetitive gags, it still might turn out to be a decent watch.
