Kami no Niwatsuki Kusunoki-tei

Honestly, from the very first episode, this anime caught me completely off guard in the best way possible. I wasn't expecting much going in, but it hooked me almost instantly. The way it introduces Minato and the whole premise of gods just casually moving into a purified estate feels so fresh and genuine. It's cozy, it's warm, and it has this effortless charm that a lot of bigger titles can't even pull off.

The characters feel real and distinct, the animation is beautifully crafted those soft countryside backgrounds paired with the ethereal deity designs are seriously something and the emotional beats hit way harder than you'd ... expect from a slice-of-life supernatural show. It doesn't try to be loud or flashy. It just draws you in quietly and doesn't let go.

And that first episode? I was more hooked than I was watching Rimuru Tempest for the first opening new season.
This is easily one of the most underrated anime of 2026. If you're into the vibes of Natsume's Book of Friends or The Morose Mononokean, do yourself a favor and start watching.

At first impression, one would draw comparisons to Natsume Yuujinchou and Tondemo Skill de Isekai Hourou Meshi. Much like these two, you have a very relaxing Iyashikei anime that features a good amount of Youkai present. You can tell by episode 1 if this show fits what you are looking for.

There is also a human plot with another clan. Well, so far it has been Minato helping Saiga. Doesn't look to be anything that could influence the good vibes the anime has.

This is the first anime produced by Juvenage, and the production is decent. Art direction at times looks really good, but beyond that it ... is serviceable. If you are looking for an anime with good vibes to it, this is a good one to try.

3 episodes in and I already know that this is one of my favourites.
I love relaxing but interesting stories aka iyashikei, and this one is the epitome of it. It reminds me on Natsumes book of friends (due to the mythological theme which I adore) with a light touch of Campfire cooking in another world, except the MC doesn't exactly cook anything lol.
The animation is good too, it is produced by a fairly new studio JUVENAGE and so far they did a good job for their very first project.

Overal a nice lighthearted story, perfect for those who want to escape all those heart breaks ... (experienced in other anime) and want to take a breather from typical shonen and dark themes.
