 The official website for the new Koukaku Kidoutai (The Ghost in the Shell) television anime revealed additional staff, a third key visual (pictured), and a third promotional video on Monday. The new TV anime will premiere on July 7 at 11:00 p.m. on Kansai TV and Fuji TV affiliates.Staff Art Director: Emi Katanosaka (Watashi no Shiawase na Kekkon) Art Supervisor: Osamu Masuyama (Dungeon Meshi) Color Design: Satoshi Hashimoto (Vinland Saga) Director of Photography: Hikari Itou (Sanda) Editing: Kiyoshi Hirose (Enen no Shouboutai) Sound Director: Yuuji Tange (Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai) Sound Effect: Shouta Yaso (Dandadan) Recording: Hiroaki Oota (Shunkashuutou Daikousha) Moko-chan (Dandadan assistant director) is helming the anime at Science SARU. Toh EnJoe (Godzilla: S.P) is handling the series composition and script. Shuuhei Handa (Little Witch Academia (TV)) is designing the characters. Taisei Iwasaki (Kekkai Sensen), Ryo Konishi (Kill Ao), and Yuki Kanesaka (Dr. Stone) are composing the music. | Love the COLORS and the "cartoony" character designs. And liking the jazz/orchestral music, it's good to see Kekkai Sensen in the composer line-up. |

| Looks like it's gonna be faithful to the manga this time, right down to Motoko being into chicks. I actually prefer Oshii's film but the manga is fantastic regardless so I'm psyched. Animation looks sick as hell too. |

| Ngl the trailer looks so fucking good. It nailed the 90s cel animation feel and I was quite blowned away, not to mention the characters look very lively compared to the stand alone complex one which is kind of dull tbh. Oshii just likes to butcher the characterization of the female characters especially like Makoto. In the trailer, she has a lot more character to her and that alone is already a huge plus. |

| Ok, I remove my qualms about this iteration (or any other anime iteration of this franchise at this point, TBH) only because of my fetish for anime blue-haired girls and the last seconds. Finally somebody who is not afraid to show the good goods due to westerners and people with no interest in anime bitching for the sake of bitching (coff coff Dress-Up my Darling S2 coff coff). Thank my fetishes and neverending sexual hunger. I know, in the manga she's blue-haired too, but when I read it and bought its japanese copy I hadn't developed that fetish already @VivaceRex Oshii made only the movie, SAC was made by another studio entirely. |

| Edit: add also the fetish for anime girls with Red Eyes. My own animated life Partner Uta Sakura from Kimi To Idol in her civilian form has red eyes, and so Megumin from Konosuba. Anime sold. Qualms or no qualms. |
| Honestly this has been a really solid anime year, however, I know this entry is going to be my AOTY, already. I love GITS, I love Shirow's other works, and generally prefer his tone of writing, even though I do still like the 95 film. The art design is so freaking nice. |

| I only have a vague idea of what Ghost in the Shell is, but after seeing that trailer, I might jump into this series with this as a starting point. Knowing Science Saru, this will be a very stylish interpretation, as evidenced by the art style and music. |
