| Pretty much all social platforms these days gives us the option to be "invisible" or "appear offline" including but not limited to discord, Facebook, skype, Google hangouts etc. It would be nice if we could hide our online status from our profile so that it doesn't show if we are online or our last time online at all. |

| I mean, I guess I understand what you mean. But I don't know if it'd be worth the trouble of MAL adding the option. It's not a bad idea, but at the same time there are downsides to it. For instance, if I'm reading forums/reviews/recommendations and see one that I want to ask the person about directly such as posting on their profile or dm'ing them, the status part helps a great deal because if I see they haven't been online since 2014 (that happened today actually) then I'm not going to waste my time trying to create a connection there. What is the upside of not displaying your online/offline status I guess is what I'm trying to understand? For instance, mine will literally appear online 24/7, 365 because I permanently leave my anime list tab open in my browser. |

| Doubt It would be added. Many suggested many cool and useful things MAL could have but they never added those suggestions to MAL. |

| Realistically nobody is really paying attention to whether you are or are not online. Just saying. But I'm not against this feature. |
