Synopsis

Ritsu inherited his sixth sense from his grandfather, along with a demon guardian named Blue Storm. Strange things just seem to happen around these two, and it's left to them to get to the bottom of all these mysterious events. Each story is independent but features recurring characters you'll come to know and appreciate as they, each in their own way, try to deal with things 'not of this world'.

Hyakki Yakoushou won the Excellence Award in the Manga Division at the 10th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2006.

The first volume of the series was published in English as Beyond Twilight by Aurora Publishing Inc. on June 10, 2010.

I have been reading this manga several times.
Ima Ichiko is one of the special creator... I am sure.
This is a fantasy story about human and the Ghost..
some stories are sad and some are happy and funny.
But after all, it is so beautiful.. and Ima Ichko tells the stories carefully, sincerely but not that heavy.

Ima ichko describes her extraordinary characters as normal. I think that's why the reader has no offense to accept the characters. They are friendly and kind.

I love love love her books.

Hyakki Yakosho is a shojo manga from 1995.
It's a lot like natsume youjinchou, dealing with ghost and youkai.

It tells the story of high school student Ritsu Iijima who has the power to see and communicate with youkai and ghosts, he inherited his ability from his late grandfather...
He helps those in need, both youkai and humans. He is kind and loves with his cousin a university student. His mom a housemaker and his dragon youkai bodygard who resides in the body of his late father playing the nyanko sensei role..
