High School DxD

High school student Issei Hyoudou is your run-of-the-mill pervert who does nothing productive with his life, peeping on women and dreaming of having his own harem one day. Things seem to be looking up for Issei when a beautiful girl asks him out on a date, although she turns out to be a fallen angel who brutally kills him! However, he gets a second chance at life when beautiful senior student Rias Gremory, who is a top-class devil, revives him as her servant, recruiting Issei into the ranks of the school's Occult Research club.

Slowly adjusting to his new life, Issei must train and fight in order to survive in the violent world of angels and devils. Each new adventure leads to many hilarious (and risqué) moments with his new comrades, all the while keeping his new life a secret from his friends and family in High School DxD!

BOOOBS, SO MANY BOOOBS AND CHEEKS. Asia is annoying, koneko is a loli and i fucking hate her nonchalant ass behavior, Rias = BOOBS, Akeno ( ARA ARA ), ISSEI IS THE GOAT, Yuuto (--_--), Gasper is just gay and this is the best anime of all time.

I honestly enjoyed watching this anime. This and prison school turned me into a man of culture as i started to appreciate THE ART ... OF JIGGLE PHYSICS and ANIME BOOOOBSS.

Mixed Feelings

If this system had .5 i'd rate it 7.5, but alas.

I do think this is an anime everyone should watch at least once (even if it is just season 1), lewdness aside the plot is interesting. I personally found it not-at-all boring, in fact I enjoyed watching it despite being turned off by some of the more ecchi scenes. It definitely ramps up as you watch it, with the first few episodes dragging on but it certainly improves throughout the season. So generally, yes, i think everyone should watch this anime, even if they dont like it and even if they dont watch more.

DxD was really big back in the day, and many people including me think (or, in my case, thought) that it was a particularly good ecchi with sexy characters and scenes. But, truth is, that's not the case, especially when compared to another famous ecchi of the time with a similar name: High School of the Dead.

To put it simply, High School DxD has mediocre, if not bad, art quality. It looks like any other cheap seasonal of the time. Because of this, hardly any scenes or still images (that appear in the middle of episodes) actually look sexy. They mostly look bland when not ... outright bad because of weird anatomy. Nipples, of which there are plenty, also look odd. This is in huge contrast to the aforementioned High School of the Dead, in which all characters look great, all of the time.

Being a cheap seasonal, the art isn't the only mediocre aspect of it. Everything is mediocre, low effort and uninspiring. Oh, and the MC makes a monkey looking face every couple minutes.

To think that this has 4 seasons is... disappointing.
