'Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen' Announces Additional Cast Pair for Fall 2026

The Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon no Taki-hen (Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc) AnimeJapan 2026 stage event at the Pony Canyon booth announced an additional cast pair on Sunday. The second season adapting Yura Urushibara's action fantasy manga will air on Nippon Television beginning in October 2026.

Voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto (Kimetsu no Yaiba) and Kent Itou ([Oshi no Ko]) are joining the cast as Hagure Nekosaki and Yuu Innami, respectively.

Ato Nonaka (Fate/Zero episode director) is returning to direct at Studio Hibari. Yukie Sugawara (Overlord) is handling series composition and script. Ryouko Amisaki (Radiant 2nd Season) is designing the characters and Kohta Yamamoto (Mato Seihei no Slave) is composing the music.

Produced by Studio Hibari, the first season aired in 24 episodes from Summer 2025 to Fall 2025. Crunchyroll and Netflix simulcasted the anime with subtitles in multiple languages.

Urushibara began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in June 2020. Akita Shoten published the 28th volume on February 6, with the 29th volume scheduled to be released on Apri 8. Tougen Anki has a cumulative 5.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.

Yen Press licensed the manga in English in March 2024 and published the fourth volume in November 2025, with the fifth volume planned for a May 26 release.
